Nashville Hot Chicken Shack by Lucky Bastard Saloon
The origins of Nashville’s now-famous hot chicken date back to the 1930s. As local legend goes, a scorned woman was seeking revenge on her significant other, Thornton Prince, so she doused his chicken with cayenne pepper, hoping it would be inedible. But it turned out Prince loved it and decided to open a restaurant - thus the Nashville Hot Chicken Shack was born!
Our menu features our perfected dry brined chicken topped with our signature blend of spices that rival no other. Each piece tossed with our secret recipe sauce that makes our Nashville hot chicken a local favorite! Our menu extends to sliders and stellar sides such as fried pickles, white cheddar bites, and Nashville hot chicken mac ‘n cheese.

They did not have a record of our reservation and we had to leave and go elsewhere. I believe they are using open table for marketing purposes only. A total scam!
When we arrived, we were informed that this restaurant did “not take reservations, and we do not know what app you used, but we can not guarantee you a table. Please find the first open table you can.”
Used open table to make a reservation for 6, show up to find out the restaurant only open seating. Not sure why the restaurant is even in open table? Luckily a big group left as we were coming in and we were able to sit. Drinks were pretty good and food was pretty okay. Music was great until a different band took stage.
To watch a UFC game
Don’t bother making a reservation because they do not save any tables. Walked in and said I had a table reservation and was told they only have open seating. Tiny drinks. Pass.
No one knew we had Open Table reservations. No one knew the restaurant even took reservations or reservations via Open Table.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Open Table should remove them because they don't honor any reservations. When we showed up, there wasn't any host/hostess, so we had to seat ourselves. They were out of most of the local beers we wanted to try. Food wad very slow and our hosts would disappear for long stretches of time. Overall, this was our worst restaurant experience while visiting Nashville. Considering the amount of feedback that is similar to our experience, this was the norm.
Manager said they don’t honor online reservations. Luckily got a table. Service was slow and people around us waited 2 hours for food.
Made a reservation and told they would not honor it due to full house. Plenty of other good sports bars in Nashville. I recommend you try those out instead.
This establishment does not take reservations. At least that is what I was told by server. No hostess. I made reservation weeks in advance unfortunately had to stand almost entire game. Also if you have sports bar in name people expect sound on during the event!!!
No one in the place, waiter was horrible
Bailey's does not honor reservations made on Open Table. We showed up after making our reservation on Open Table and the guy laughed at us. He said they don't use Open Table. So beware. And I would recommend if you make ANY reservation on Open Table for ANY restaurant, you call the restaurant after it is confirmed to make sure they will honor it.
Luckily, they were not overly busy. We were told that they don't accept reservations when I tried to get them to acknowledge that we had arrived. I even gave my phone with the reservation information to our waitress to show her manager. She returned saying that he said that it shouldn't be on open table. The food was fine but my husband had to change his order because they were out of ribs. Someone with Open Table needs to discuss this issue with the restaurant either accept reservations or get off Open Table.
Other than having to wait a bit to get service because of their seat yourself policy, it was a good dining experience.
Just because this is on Broadway, does not mean it has anything worthy of lights. The menu was not what they had on line they were missing the one burger I went in there for also np voodoo burger. So I ended up ordering a ranch handler burger look at picture they literally poured a half a bottle on it disgusting! They should never have sent that from the kitchen to our table, not to mention the fries were cold. The coffee I ordered she said was made within a hour ....I dont think so it was terrible black tar, she made a fresh pot much better but the ranch ruined a meal. Music was way to loud! Never going back, almost forgot no paper towels in bathroom and it was trashed.
It was slow, limited menu compared to online menu we viewed before deciding to make reservation. No drink menu was available and no drink specials which is what most people are looking for. The food was average and the service was ok.
Stopped in for an appetizer before a concert at Bridgestone arena. We had a server that seemed to disappear into thin air every time she she left our table. It wasn’t busy at all, but it took 45 minutes to get a glass of red wine. I think the server was new and she had tables upstairs too, if possible.
Please don’t expect to have a conversation or hear a game. At 7:30 on a Wednesday night, the band was so loud that all of that was impossible. Bailey’s is definitely for tourists.
They have a seat yourself type set up even though every seat is filled so you're wandering around trying to see if a table is open somewhere. Luckily we had a reservation so they put a piece of paper on the table with your name printed on it to save your table for reservations so we were just wandering around looking for papers....which we never found because sadly, they did not get my reservation even though I had a confirmation number and email to show. They did not seem to care that we had a reservation and let us continue searching for a table. Once we finally got a table the blinds were broken so we couldn't look out the window to downtown. After waiting a while for what seemed like the only waitress in the place we finally asked for waters while reviewing the menu which did not have all the options listed on their online menu. After an additional half hour without our waters we left and went to pita pit around the corner. It was amazing with no wait...highly recommend.
Made a reservation only to have them tell me to find my own table at the door. This is a bar. Pure and simple. If you want dinner, go to a restaurant. Band loud, cigars smokin three tables away. Ok bar, but there are better places to drink and eat.
Loved the music. Rey was great!!
Good bar food plus local craft beers and TVs galore!
Many better choices in Nashville downtown. We had a short time before show so we choose this place because it wasn't crowded. Now we know why it wasn't. Mediocre singer. Lousy food. Another table called "terrorists" for not tipping the band. Just wish we had gone past.
Bailey’s has the best chicken tenders of all time
Awesome atmosphere for watching college football. CustomerService was the best!!!!!!! Started with the door man and continued with management and waitress. We spent over 4 hours there and were well taken care of. Will return and recommend to anyone going to Nashville. Thanks Terry!
Arrived an hour early to a standing room only restaurant for the games. Asked the door guy if we would have any trouble with our reservation in an hour. Although he was not familiar with Open Table when i showed him the app he left his post to find the manager who then worked on getting a table. Because we were early we said we would come back. He followed up by phone twice and we had a table at our reservation time. He didn’t need our business but kept his word.
