Food was really bad. Good place to listen to live music and have a couple beers just don’t eat the food.
Poor service. Food marginal at beat.
Our waitress was so friendly and helpful when selecting our dinner choices! Food was delicious!
The waitress was excellent. She was attentive, checking in on us frequently and very friendly.
The food was served in a timely manner and all of our group of four enjoyed their meals .
We listened to the musician of the night and she was excellent!
Great place to go to .
Just a quick brunch before heading out. Wait staff seemed a little limited. Our waitress was running around a lot as though she was one of just a few on wait staff.
The food was good. Southern type stuff; potatoes, Benedict style eggs on a roll. Greens. Not amazing, but good.
Ambience was nice, large open dining area with a large band stand stage. Decor was sports bar type. There weren’t many people there so it was not noisy. Casual, which was fine for our purposes.
My husband and I dined here for Father's day brunch. It was very good. The entire menu reads of Southern breakfast favorites with a slight twist. We started with biscuits and gravy as an appetizer. The biscuits tasted like they had someone's grandmother in the kitchen. Delicious. My husband ordered their chicken with a side of grits and I had the NashBennie which came with a side of hashbrown casserole. Both entrees were on point and well seasoned on the other hand the sides were a slight let down. The grits were a little dry and had cheese melted on top; perhaps warmed in an oven. The hashbrown casserole tasted as if it had been warmed over. Our server was very attentive especially for the amount of people they had that day. They also have a full bar. The ambiance is very cute, like a modern saloon. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Great decor and good food but they have issues with staffing. There are certainly concerns everywhere with quality staff but it was very apparent here. We waited for a long time to even be attended to after seated and then a long wait for food. We even witnessed a table leave after waiting for way too long.
It’s a nice looking place and the live music is enjoyable. Unfortunately, having the windows open caused distractions because of sirens, party busses, etc. passing by. We were disappointed in our service which was very slow yet it did not appear to be crowded or busy. It was almost an hour before we got our food which was burned (burgers). The menu, however, offers good comfort-food options and it is reasonably priced. It was the service that was the most disappointing for us.
2nd visit and the meals are consistently great.
I would recommend the Meatloaf and the biscuits app was so scrumptious! I think this is one of the better values for downtown restaurants and would highly recommend for a family meal.
Great food and atmosphere. Servers were kind and attentive.
Great as always. Must stop when we visit Nashville!
Food, server and atmosphere were excellent! Highly recommend!
Great steaks. Good music. Cool place and fantastic atmosphere. Service was outstanding. All around one of the best spots in Nashville. Off Broadway enough but not too much.
We were passing through for one night and wanted to find a family friendly spot (we have a toddler) where we could have some "local" food and listen to live music (I mean, it is Nashville). I spent over an hour searching online for a spot that check all the boxes. NashHouse did not disappoint. The service was great, the food was amazing, and the entire family thoroughly enjoyed the live music.
Bartender was not very experienced.
Overall a good experience
Service was poor, music was good!Food was average with limited options!
Food and service was excellent! Always caution ordering steak at an unknown restaurant, but they nailed the filet. One of the best filets I have ever had. Good environment for families. Music was a touch loud, probably because I am getting old. All in all, very enjoyable. Would definitely go back!
Great spot with great atmosphere and such nice staff. The spoon fries were to die for!!
We went twice in a week on the way to FL and back. Great food and service and just off Broadway so busy but not overly crowded. Great live music! Recommend the chicken fried chicken and fried pickles!
Place is advertised as closing at 2am. We made a reservation for 10:30pm via Open Table. We called several times between 5pm and 10:30pm and nobody answered the phone. We got to the NashHouse at 10:36pm and the place was closing. Kitchen was closed. We weren’t even asked if we wanted to have a drink; just told at the door that it was closed as a server was leaving. Hostess or manager - not sure who she was - greeted us at the door to say it was closed. When we asked for a suggestions as to where to go for a late dinner, they had zero!!!
I think our waiter was new this morning so we may go back because we liked the ambiance and the food was pretty good as well but for today the service all around was poor. We had reservations, waited 45 minutes for food (we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t bother us too much), the grand mimosa was great. When we got our food (by a different waiter) we had no silverware or napkins. We asked them to bring us some and we waited 5-6 minutes for silverware, ketchup and syrup for pancakes because they were not brought out with food, we were never asked if we needed more drinks or water. Like I said, I’m just going to chalk it up to our waiter was new and trying to figure things out still but doesn’t make up for the other areas. Would we try it again, most likely.
Great atmosphere, service and food were great.
They ran out of silverware…
The hostesses were exceptionally rude.
The service was slow.
The food however, once it arrived and once we finally got silverware, after a very VERY long wait for all of it, was very good.
Never once did a manager come and apologize to anyone for the terrible experience that it seemed many people including us were having.
Service was terrible. They were nice about it and tried to make it right but just ruined the whole experience. Food was solid but not great. Nearly 50% of the items (food and drink) came with something incorrect.
Pretty good place. A bit loud but not too bad. Food is ok, nothing special, but a really nice atmosphere. The nest part is the servers. They are really amazing and attentive. Even though they fumbled a few things, they were super sweet so it didn’t make much difference.
Overall, the food was great and there was live music playing. Service was extremely slow. We had to ask for silverware and was brought one napkin with three forks on it. Staff was kind. Seemed disorganized or low staff.
First time here -- went for Sunday brunch. Portions are fairly small but very flavorful. Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and lively. Bar area was attractive and bright -- seemed fully stocked.
Literally waited an hour for coffee and the waitress didn’t accommodate for any of the inconveniences. They were also out of eggs Benedict which was literally half their menu? For brunch on a Sunday? Get it together....
HORRIBLE experience from when we walked in the door all the way to the validation of the valet ticket. Will not dine again. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT.
Our server was
We all loved our breakfast sandwiches and it was the perfect family place for us!
Small portion for the Porky Mac. But overall had a great time! Very friendly staff, and loved hearing multiple acts of live music.
Great music with good food!
Amazing food and service.
We visited for the long weekend. The Hampton Social was amazing! The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant for brunch!
Definitely not southern cooking. Country fried steak was tough and mashed potatoes were stiff and not creamy at all. Wait staff was slow and rude. Would not recommend. Too many other restaurants in downtown that are far superior
Our waitress was wonderful, the live music was lots of fun and the food was great!
I LOVE NashHouse, the food is always great... until this visit. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Consistency is key to long term restaurant success. If I had been a first time guest, I would never be back. Because I’ve been there a dozen times and know what you’re capable of, I can look past one bad experience. But if it’s the same next time, I’ll definitely stop coming and stop recommending (which I do all the time)
