Our server, Alex, was amazing!! Food and drinks were great!
The vibe was great. Our server, she was wonderful. It was our first time here and the food selection for breakfast/lunch was very good. We started with the Fresh filled donut holes (5) they were delicious. I had a coffee, my daughter had a latte and my other daughter had hibiscus pomegranate lemonade and I had OJ. I ordered the omelet, it was served w country potatoes and one slice of bread with a tomato slice and arugula on top. I split this with my one daughter. My other daughter ordered the spinach and feta egg dish, same sides as well. The total for this bill without tip was 85.00. Steep for breakfast. Although we loved everything about it,we won’t be returning for breakfast maybe just cocktails at the bar in the early evening.
Yummy food and excellent service. Great spot for lunch!
It was our anniversary, which I noted when I made the reservation on open table. The minute I gave our name when we checked in, the waitstaff wished us a very happy anniversary. It was a wonderful start to a terrific dinner. The service was exceptional. For me, that is a large part of my enjoyment of a meal and the staff far exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious although my entrée of the Tuscan chicken was pretty dry. I’m sure if I had said something, amends would’ve been made, but it wasn’t a big enough deal to do that. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely return.
Excellent service, great food
Above and beyond! Absolutely incredible!!! We cannot say enough great things about it!
Service was excellent, had some lovely wine. The cookies were amazing. My mushroom Bolognese was a bit too heavily salted for my taste and made it hard to finish, admittedly I don’t cook with much salt, but everything was excellent.
Food was very good. Service was slow. Ambiance feels like a hotel lobby.
We went to narrative for brunch and although the hotel/morning guest vibe made it feel a bit quiet, I don't think it should discourage anyone from giving this restaurant their attention.
The star was certainly the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, but our main dishes in the smoked salmon toast and breakfast tacos were great as well.
I think the restaurant could benefit from breaking the "hotel" feel by offering some more creative brunch additions (which is standard at most of the good brunch venues in Denver) like bottomless mimosas, an actual brunch cocktail menu, and jazzing up the energy a bit with even little bit of music/sound.
It felt a little too much like a library and not a fun modern concept which is the perception I got before booking on OpenTable.
The food and service at Narrative were excellent. We had an attentive but not overbearing waiter. We took his advice on a starter and main dish and both were excellent. The kitchen did a very nice job of splitting the entree for my husband and I to share.
Great people! Excellent service. Fantastic food. Menu is a little bit limited but other than that it was wonderful.
Our avocado chicken salad was delicious, green goddess dressing and a very sweet creamy goat cheese made it divine. The tuna poke and watermelon salad were likewise enjoyed. Great restaurant, a little pricey for us.
We loved this place. Staff is great, food was outstanding.
Service was great, friendly. I was really impressed with the food (good vegetarian options) and the cocktails were good.
Menu is very limited and breakfast oriented. No true lunch options
Waitstaff was impeccable! Food delicious
Inventive and delicious food. Attentive service - special shout out to Mary who ensured a fabulous experience. Interesting wine list. Run, don’t walk!
It was great
Lovely ambiance, great service, very accommodating to changes.
narrative was a great spot for a get together with a friend. We started with the lobster corn dogs, shared the scallops and short rib and finally wrapped up dinner with a cheesecake.
The corn dogs were different, but had entirely too much dough which really hid the flavor of the lobster. The scallops were good, but the short rib was disappointing. For $38, I would have expected the meat to be incredibly tender and melt off the fork. Instead, it was tough. Dessert was okay, although rather than a cheesecake, it was a flavored cream cheese mousse block.
It was disappointing, as the entire meal was just okay. For this price range, I would have expected something better.
This was the second time I have been to Narrative. The first was a couple of weeks ago and deserved a raving review. This time I am disappointed to say that it fell short of expectations set from the last experience. The service was good, however the food was slightly sloppy and a bit overcooked from appetizers through the entire meal. The server we had was very polite, but didn't really touch base very often for a somewhat delayed time from order to table times. I would say that if they are on it consistently as they were the first time; this is a must go. However, it wasn't this time. So if you like playing heads or tails. Try it.
Everything was yummy! Great service.
Excellent, imaginative, tasty dishes with attentive service and an extensive wine list. We'll be back!
It was great in every way
We loved the restaurant. The service was a bit slow on our drinks. Food was amazing. Everyone ordered something different and we all loved our food. The donuts are worth ordering for the table. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast, Omelet, and Pancakes for our group.
It took more than 10 minutes for anyone to serve us.
I went to Narrative for my birthday two years ago and have been wanting to go back. Last night we did, and invited another couple. We had such a nice evening. The space is airy and bright, service is great (Nicolas is wonderful), food is delightful. Two of us had the shrimp and grits which was homey and flavorable. My watermelon salad was refreshing. Salmon was great as were the short ribs. Sorbet for dessert was perfect for summer. Our cocktails and wine were reasonable priced and the selection was great.
I highly recommend Narrative for a date or with friends.
Tim and Adam took GREAT care of us and made it really a really fun night. Great wine recommendation - thanks Tim. My husband had the hanger steak and it was delicious - great flavors and really well prepared. Please bring back the artichoke toast and 48 hour Asian short rib. Those were my absolute favorites .... SO good. I missed seeing those on the menu.
The food was decent-ish, the service was not great (except the bartender. She was great), and a large fight broke out at the bar at the end of our dinner. The waiter was apologetic but didn’t do anything beyond that to make up for our bad experience. It was my friends birthday so it was rather a disappointment.
Lovely start to finish!
Our server gave us the best advice about what to order, was thorough but also not intrusive! The food was fabulous: donuts, fried green tomatoes, and we shared a few of the main entrees.
Wonderful experience! Our server was so kind and helpful and made my friend's birthday lunch a joy. Food was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back!
Our first time trying Narrative. Was great! Enjoyed the thematic menu and decor. Gorgeous artwork. Food was delicious and service was excellent.
Great food, prompt service. I know there’s a labor shortage in the restaurant industry but these folks did a good job of mitigating the lack of workers and helping each other take care of the customers. I’d come back. Would like to try their dinner menu next time.
Celebrating our anniversary. We were met by the host who wish us a happy anniversary and a card was waiting on our table. Ate four courses and all were superb but be aware the portions are large thru all courses. Standouts - watermelon salad A+++, chocolate chip cookies A++++++. All staff were also superb. Will be back again.
I have had some very nice dinners at Narrative, but brunch was a very big disappointment. Poor service and tremendously oversalted food.
Food was average. We waited 25 mins for our server to greet us. Seemed like an aberration as service improved once our server realized he was responsible for our table. Ordered a very nice bottle of champagne, and was served to us in huge red wine glasses, just silly. Restrooms are outside the restaurant quite a jaunt upstairs.
So many better places to go in Cherry Creek North.
Food and service are not as good as they used to be, pre-pandemic.
We went for our anniversary dinner and everything was wonderful. The service was exceptional, with the staff being extremely attentive. The food was fabulous. The watermelon salad was delicious and refreshing for a hot summer night. The mushroom bolognese was also very good.
