Nargis Cafe is located in Brooklyn, New York. The restaurant is a fusion of Middle Eastern, Asian and Russian cuisines, a unique blend giving diners an escape into international delights. The dŽcor in Nargis Cafe is both cozy and authentic and its location close to Coney Island makes it easy to get to after a long day on the boardwalk.
Peruse the menu at Nargis CafŽ and explore the many options to sample. Some dishes include achichuk, feta cheese with tomatoes, Korean style fish ÒkheÓ, spring salad, kutabi, baba ganoush, shurpa, bronzini, shish kebab, uzbek plov, grilled lamb chops, ox tail and an assortment of tempting desserts like quince jam and chocolate mousse cake.
Good food and very good service. AC was way too cold. Waiter said they weren’t able to adjust it. Otherwise nice meal.
The food was excellent the decor pleasing and the service good BUT: the main courses should have been served all together instead of one of us eating while the others just watched. This was disturbing.
The food is decent. Some dishes are better than others, but are priced too high for what you get. Our waitress was pleasant enough, but was absent for most of our time there, resulting in longer wait times. Not sure if they were understaffed & she was busy in another room or if it was something else. There wasn't anybody to ask.
I've never had a chicken kabob with fatty dark meat chicken and nothing else. No veggies, no rice, nothing. Other dishes were bland and tasteless. Nice people but we had to keep calling over any server we saw. Very inattentive. Lovely atmosphere but we will not be eating there again.
Excellent food- fresh food and a menu which melds the best of Middle Eastern and Baltic cuisines. Service professional and the bread is outrageous!
Good food and very good prices. We had a great time celebrating birthday.
Disappointed! Food wasn’t tasty! At that not cheap. Manty weren’t cooked the pumpkins was very crunchy and dry. Hanuma the same way not cooked properly. Kebabs were ok though. I didn’t enjoy it at all...
Great russian food in a nice atmosphere! Great service and an amazing menu! But can get very crowded and you can feel pretty “squished” during peak hours. Totally worth it though - our usual place for birthday celebrations. Also we have had great luck bringing kids, but only if they can sit at the table (it’s too crowded for kids to be able to run around), also TVs show russian MTV-like music videos, which might be too much for some parents (some are more PG13 rather then PG :)).
Good food! Service could be better. Very crowded, lots of noise.
wonderful food, prepared exquisitely. one doesn't have to go overboard with fanciness if one simply knows how to prepare food perfectly. Things are cooked to perfection and spiced just right. A real gem.
Sat us right by the door even though it was really cold and I had a reservation
Great food, excellent service and an overall wonderful meal.
Authentic fresh food and outstanding service! Fun atmosphere, crafted cocktails... great choice!
What a GREAT place. Can't wait to go back
Good food friendly service

Great Uzbekistani cuisine. Will be back. Food Was great, Service was great
That has been one of my favorite Shisnkebab places in NY for over a decade. I have been coming here with my friends and relatives visiting NY to taste authentic Uzbek kebabs.
The place tripled in size and has been remodeled in a recent years. I like the pillows and Uzbeki’s wall decorations.
All kebabs there done with love and knowledge! The taste is perfect! Meat is well marinated and always juicy! Most of the time we order veggie and/or meat Samsa, soup Lagman, lamb, chicken and liver kebabs, lulyakebab, Nargis salad.
It sad that the price over the last couple of years doubled, but still it is a good place for a casual lunch or dinner.
Overall experience was great, food is amazing, the only thing i didnt like is the food was served too quickly, they pretty much served all at once hot and cold appetizers and entrees.
The food here is always great. And don’t let the prices fool you because the portions are huge. The biggest problem is that they bring all your food out at once in what seems like an attempt to rush you out. Our table was overwhelmed with food from apps to mains. And we requested to the waiter to slow it down and they didn’t and we’re dismissive. I would recommend ordering in waves instead.
But really really really tasty food.
Make sure you are a fan of Russian Food or at least interesting and unusual food. If your palate is simple this is not the place for you!
Service was horrible.
Food very delicious .
15 min for one glass wine
Kebabs in this place are outstanding. It’s not a Russian good, but Uzbek. Service is good, bar is fair. Definitely will come back!
Overall the place is good. My only issue is they raised their prices way to much. Most places same food are way cheaper.
