Napoli 2 Ratings and Reviews
We sat in the front round room with the rainbow-changing lighting. It made all of us motion-sick. We asked the waiter if they could either slow it down or decide on one color. It stayed on red for about 5 minutes, but then it went through the rainbow again - a new color every three seconds. Very dizzy. Next time, we would not sit in the front room.
Our first time visit to Napoli 2. The St. Louis salad was the best salad I have had in years. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were priced individually but were huge. I had the chicken parm. It was tender, juicy, and delicious. Good size portion allowing leftovers for lunch the next day. Ambience was awesome! Cozy lighting , tables spacing was perfect with plenty of room for quiet conversation. The service could not have been better. We had a very attentive waiter who took great care of us. We will be back for sure.
Napoli 2 continues to be a favorite of mine for business or for personal occasions. The food
is excellent. The service is unparalleled an the entire staff demonstrate a genuine desire to
make your dining experience superb. My only complaint is they are not open for lunch. But
it is probably in my best interest that they are not. It is one of those few eateries where you
can and lunch and be exited to return the same day for excellent evening dining. You will
not regret going to Napoli 2. Reservations are important particularly on the weekends.
Bon apetit !!!
As always we had another great meal at Napoli 2. The arancini is perfection and the sauce it so good... truly I could eat a couple of those as my meal. Yum!
My husband had the special seabass almond crusted with butternut squash risotto. It was cooked perfectly and quite good. I had the lobster and shrimp scampi. Not like the scampi you get swimming in garlic butter at most places. Breaded sautéed and served with a lemon caper sauce... I had it over angel hair pasta. Very rich but very good. Ended our meal with one of the best creme brûlées in St. Louis. Not too thick, very smooth custard and a thick layer of harden sugar. Expensive but so worth it!!!
Very disappointed with our meals at Napoli this past Saturday on two counts! First: The Hess wine that we have enjoyed more than once by the half bottle before must have been a different vintage this time. It was very subpar. We should have sent it back, but being with another couple, we neglected to send it back and should have--definitely should have .... Second: The eggplant pasta that both my husband and I ordered and looked so forward to was awful, not delectable at all. Buried in some concoction of so many spices, its eggplant was disguised. I never did taste any eggplant and/or see the chicken both my husband and I added to this pasta dish. Conveying my disappointment in my pasta to our waiter, I was brought another pasta that was so sweet it did not appeal to me. While I did appreciate the effort to supplant the unpalatable eggplant pasta, I know I'll never order their pasta again. My husband rated his eggplant pasta as edible, but for me, that was not the case. I'd say eating seafood is probably the only option to hopefully being able to enjoy a meal there. The waiter did a fairly good job. I shall say that. Still, this was a very disappointing meal with disappointing wine.
As always the food and service were outstanding. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday with his mother. Each of our dishes were fantastic. Our waiter even suggest an effective way for me to have two different dishes when I could not decide between two options. It was a lovely way to celebrate together.
Absolutely wonderful experience as usual. Our server Emily was very professional with great recommendations. Chef Tom delivered the food to our table and added the finishing touches. Busperson Colin kept our water full and table cleared. A= experience and highly recommended to anyone.
