Naples Coastal Kitchen- Fort Myers
The food and service was great. Unfortunately, no fault of the restaurant, a large group of very loud guests chased us out sooner than we would have liked. It would have been nice if they would have taken into consideration others were also dining there.
Food portions seemed smaller than prior visits. Food tasted just OK, have never been disappointed here before. We will try again to see if it was just an off night
This restaurant is great - food is outstanding, ambiance and noise level are good and service is outstanding. Prices for food are reasonable. However, the prices for drinks is very high to a point that they are taking advantage of you. We frequent other restaurants in that same area and know the prices they charge for the same drink. This was approximately $4-5 more than other restaurants.
My husband spoke to the manager on duty about the price of his drink and took my business card to have the owner call me. But it's been 3 days and no call so I guess the owner doesn't care that he won't be getting repeat business from us as I won't be taken advantage of when I want to enjoy a drink with my dinner.
Excellent food! Seafood is always fresh and the service is impeccable! It’s our new favorite spot to eat!
Great food would recommend going. Great location! Will get crowded quickly when people find out about this location.
This restaurant was great! The food was wonderful and Matthew, our server, was wonderful, very personable and funny. We will definitely go back. It was a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday.
My husband and I visited for an early dinner. Around 4pm. All was well until two or three people came barging out of the kitchen door in a full blown fist fight. There was a lot of cursing. After listening to the staff continue to hype the incident up afterward, my husband and I gathered this: the people fighting involved a dishwasher, a sous chef, and a bartender, Jordan ( jordan was actually the one that sat us at the table and introduced the menu to us, but was not our server. Our server was France who was lovely and apologized for the events profusely). Not sure which of those people were actually the ones fighting. We tried to figure out the names of the others involved but couldn’t. From what we gathered, certain members of the restaurant staff are involved with one another romantically and issues from lovers quarrels were allowed to bleed into the workplace. I would hope all those involved were ultimately fired for this atrocious misconduct. It didn’t seem like they kicked anyone off of the premises after the fight because the bartender continued to go back to work and I didn’t see police arrive at all. Makes me wonder if this is a regular occurrence. Poor management that day..very disappointing..
The menu had tons of choices, but it was odd - there wasn’t a way to order grilled shrimp. You could order a shrimp dinner done just about any way except for grilled. They did offer a skewer of 4 grilled shrimp that you could add to another entree but we asked about ordering 2 skewers as the meal and adding a salad. The waitress said it couldn’t be done unless we ordered the entree salad. We said Great! That’s what we wanted! Then she said that they’d come out with the salad but would be on a plate on the side. Perfect! We asked to have the salad brought out first and then bring the shrimp out after. Not so great -she said she couldn’t do that, because once she punches in the ticket, the kitchen would start making it once those who had a side salad were served theirs. We asked again, can you ask the kitchen to do all the salads together? No, was the answer.
The good news was, after all that frustrating discussion she figured out a way to ask the kitchen and all the salads came out together!
They had several types of seating, cool bar, booths, tables, etc. But the host station was immediately inside the door so that when more than one or two people came in, the door had to stay open until the party was seated. The waiter’s station was also at the front door, not allowing patrons to come into the restaurant. Very congested and weird.
My wife and I split the rating. My clam chowder was the best (she agreed) and my special scallops dish: coquille saint jacques with pierogies was one of the best entrees I have ever had. An unexpected combination that was fantastic!! However, my wife thought her salmon piccata was just ok, with little taste. That won’t prevent us from returning despite the mild disappointment on her part. Service was efficient and prices moderate.
Hosted a birthday party for a party of 8. The food was great and well priced. Service was also excellent. Would recommend!
We had a great meal and wonderful service from France. Try the Ciopino for a real treat.
Great atmosphere. Clean and inviting. Enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar before being seated. Food was outstanding. Will definitely go there again!
A great addition to Gulf Coast Mall. As an independent restaurant the performance is well above the numerous national chain restaurants in the Mall. Aside from consistently excellent specials and overall tasty menu choices, the entire staff appears very interested in insuring that the customer is satisfied!
Service and food were both excellent!
We dined with two other couples. Food quality is very good. Staff makes you feel very welcome. I recommend their Lobster Bisque (not always on the menu), the Lobster Mac & Cheese (outstanding), and the Gumbo.
Excellent service staff, excellent menu offerings, attractive plating of appetizers and entrees... Delicious meal.
Grouper was tasteless, expensive and very small potions. Sides were also below average.
Mathew our server was so incredible!... advice, attentiveness, personality etc....my tacos were great. the shrimp appetizer was loved by all. We ordered two servings of shrimp. entree of fish..do not recall what my table mate friend got..but he said it was really good. Not a fan of the slaw...minor point, nor the potato salad...no fresh cut fries...but...but..seafood is the bomb!...and that is why I would go again and again..esp. if Mathew is on duty..lol :~) !
Shrimp Boil was very good. Grouper tacos and surf and turf kind of bland. Overall good but expensive.
Went for Mother’s Day brunch and it was not traditional but was very good. A good sampling of items from the standard menu that was well prepared. Great service and attention from the owner.
Three out of four of the meals we received were Mediocre and bland. One of us enjoyed a crabcake, but the splurge on cioppino was disappointing. Grouper was tough, sauce was bland and the French bread it was to be served with were slices of stale toasted pieces on top. Meh.
Service was fine but nothing special. Restaurant is so pretty. What a shame.
Food was good but other items on the menu I feel were overpriced. The wine was warm and way overpriced for the selection. It is fairly new so maybe they will work out the quirks.
We had a group of 8 for dinner celebrating a birthday after viewing Avengers End Game. UPSCALE CASUAL DINING is the perfect description. You can eat gourmet food in your shorts sitting inside or outside. All of the food was delicious and beautifully plated / displayed. Recommended: Mussels, shrimp scallop & lobster pasta, chicken marsala, filet & lobster tail (waiter gave us the coupon price even though we did not even know a coupon was available), stuffed lobster (special that night), and ORANGE CAKE - unusual and very tasty. Wonderful margaritas, great wines, good choice of beers available. Attentive, friendly and personal service. TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT !
Very creative menu with vegetarian options .
Cuisine was very tasty and served fresh .
Our server Matthew was friendly , professional and attentive!
Good option for dinner in Gulf Coast
Amazing service along with great food. Is definitely a favorite
Food quality is outstanding. Ambiance is OK, very open and a little noisy but we return because of the food.
The scallops appetizer was excellent!
We went here for Easter Brunch. The food was amazing! Even my 5 and 4 year old had choices to eat. The service was great! The buffet was laid out very nice. I hope they do this again in the future!
Food was delicious and service was right on. We will definitely be back.
Average at best. Overpriced. Have had as good at Culvers.
first time! good food! lived outdoor seating!
This was our third time eating at Naples Coastal Kitchen. They are very versatile. Our first visit we had upscale dining dishes, the next was a quick lunch, this last time was a very casual dinner. All meals were great. The fish is fresh, the meals are prepared very well. Highly recommended. Nice outdoor eating area, pleasant indoor eating area.
food presentation not good, everything "swimming" in juice/sauce. Requested a bowl from waitress - never came. Requested a hot cup water , had to ask twice and finally came. second glass of wine was not same as first and waitress admitted she hit wrong item to order but didi not advise us about it - unitl we compalined about it.
Never going back.
Great food as Chef Jeff is amazing!!! Service with Judy was excellent! Delightful dining experience!!!
Ordered walleye almandine!! Way over cooked!! Walleye jerky!!
I loved it and will be back. Little noisy outside but not a big deal to me. Food and price was great!
The only worth while part about the experience was the waiter ~ the Naples location is a better choice.
Fish was not good very fishy not edible
This place is terrific! Our server Matthew was wonderful and the chef came to our table for a great conversation of sourcing and preparation. Our soup starters were excellent; I loved my seafood gumbo, and my wife’s New England clam chowder was more creamy and buttery than any we have ever had. My wife’s entree, a scallop dish that was fantastic matched my complex shrimp and grits, with a bevy of flavors that knocked me out! The prices are moderate and worth every cent. The establishment has only been open a few months but delivers like a seasoned veteran. Wonderful!
This was our second time here. Love the food, the place is defiantly coastal the noise level is loud.
