Naples 45 Ristorante E Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
At a family get-together with 4 adults and 4 kids (cousins) we were very happy to get a great circular table and delicious pizza, salads and other plates that we all enjoyed with prompt and courteous, kid-friendly service. Delighted to find this airy getaway in crowded New York over the holidays.
Authentic Italian - yum!
Enjoyed our booth as a family of 5 a little out of the crazy midtown Christmas Tree crowd. Bread, pastas and pizzas had delicious flavor and came out piping hot. We had a great waiter too who was born on a ship immigrating to the US.
The food is always consistent. Not great, not bad but not special. During my last visit it turns out that there was a prix fixe lunch available. Our server never mentioned it and I didn't notice the advertisement for it on the table. When I realized that my party ordered precisely what was on the prix fixe I asked the waitress to adjust our check. She said she couldn't but gave us a free dessert. Not really good for customer service and a little short-sighted.
The food was tasty BUT the noise level was ridiculous . . . we could not hear each other speak. Also, this Italian restaurant ran out of bread of all things, and food was not delivered to all of us at the same time. We had to wait a good 5+ minutes for one of the plates to arrive, after a long wait. The server tried to be attentive, but was dealing with a difficult set of facts. We were comp'd 3 tasty desserts, so the server definitely gets credit for trying to make lemonade out of lemons (and was tipped accordingly). However, we would not return except at off-peak hours.
The 1/2 meter pizza Margherita was good but not as good as I had it there before. The crust was not as crisp as usual and the temperature was ok but not hot, hot arriving at the table. Overall a good location to bring the family. Beer at $11 is on the expensive side...
This is an excellent location for a breakfast meeting. You can actually have a conversation, especially since breakfast is a slowish time and you can choose a quieter location if needed. It gets busy for lunch and quite busy for happy hour and dinner. FOR BREAKFAST it is a great spot for a regular business conversation. Not too fancy but not diner like or cafe like.
We went to see the tree in Rockerfeller Center. I a reservation and was seated right on time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was very good! We had a really nice time and a very enjoyable meal. It was our first time at this restaurant and we definitely go back. Thanks to OpenTable! I would never have found it if I hadn’t used the app.
the hostess was fabulous , great customer service . Apparently there are two kitchens , one for pizza and one for food. We got pizza and salad and the two entrees ( there were four of us ) did not arrive until 30 minutes later, when I spoke to the waiter . The manager came and comped the two meals, not the drinks, ( all non alcoholic ) nor the salad. The entire table was inconvenienced, not just two people . Told us that one kitchen was very busy and they were behind . A place this size should be able to handle the food when it is full . Not acceptable
1. Our server forgot about us several times throughout the dinner and we had to consistently flag someone down.
2. One member of our party received their dinner about 10 minutes before the other members
3. The chicken milanese entree had a bone left in it and there is no information informing the diner to be careful when eating! I bit down on it and hurt my teeth! After letting the server know, all she said was "Yeah, it has a bone in it."
4. I had to remind our server twice for the glass of wine I ordered.
My entire family is from Naples, Italy. We tried this restaurant because of the name. We would not recommend dining here because of how incredibly disorganized it was.
