Our restaurant, Napier’s, is inspired by modern French dining, with a focus on the best produce Oxfordshire has to offer.

The menu changes with the seasons and you’ll also find a wine list that wanders across the globe, along with a selection of beers, spirits and cocktails.

Lack of transparency. Didn’t advise there was a function happening in the room next to the restaurant (Wedding) that adversely impacted dining experience. Very loud music, a lot of foot traffic through the restaurant to go outside and smoke. Really poor. Should have made this clear at time of booking and when we checked in to the hotel (same day). Service was poor, despite restaurant being very quiet. Took a long time for order to be taken, sides ordered with main were forgotten and only subsequently served ~20 mins later. Food was also pretty poor. Overall some distance from the dining experience advertised.

Very poor experience overall. Our food was very overcooked (streak and burger) with the chips visibly so. So it should have been obvious on playing up and service that the food was not to the right standard. When we received the menus for dessert we realised we hadn’t been shown the specials menu earlier which is a shame as we would have chosen the lamb. Overall the restaurant has no ambience and there is no sound proofing to protect from the sounds of the wedding next door. You’re essentially listening to the wedding reception. The prices do not match the food and experience.

We stopped at Napier's for my daugther's 6th birthday. The staff made her feel really special - the table had a birthday card and a small banner, she had a birthday candle and cake, and a complimentary drink for all the family. We all felt special. The food was just as good as the staff. It was a lovely meal and we stayed much longer than expected. Akisha, our waitress was very attentive and looked after us extremely well. In particular, because our daughter has allergies so we need to be careful about her food.

We came for my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff made it very special with a bottle of free bottle Prosecco.. the service was fabulous as was the food, which was presented beautifully.

The website seems to be out of date, it suggests fine dining with seasonal produce but upon arrival we were met with the ‘all day’ menu which, whilst very nice, wasn’t the reason we booked this hotel. The food was very nice but ‘pub grub’ with one or two exceptions. Two choices of dessert, crumble or sticky toffee pudding. Expected a dining experience as the website mentions duck, blue cheese soufflé etc but sadly it didn’t deliver what we thought we had booked.

Very welcoming. Staff knew it was a special occasion and kindly gave us a complimentary glass of fizz. Duck and venison were amazing.
