Napa Valley Grille - Westwood Ratings and Reviews
A friend and I stopped in for a pre-theater dinner. We had not been since prior to the renovation. Food was fabulous! Service was attentive and friendly. When I asked about private dining options (for future visits), the manager promptly brought me a complete information package. I live nearby and will definitely return again soon.
Service was terrible. We waited a long time for a waiter to approach us. I finally had to ask a bus boy to get a waiter. Then the order was wrong! But waiter gave us a free dessert.
The worst was the first table we were shown -cramped in a corner with large parties around us. We asked for a different table which we were given.
Whenever we venture to museums in the L.A. area, we love to have lunch at the Napa Valley Grille. The serving staff are always so friendly. Walter the bartender is always pleasant too. This visit, we particularly enjoyed our server, James. He is new to the L.A. area, coming from San Diego. He took the time to converse with us and always checked on us. I had a slight food issue and it was quickly taken care of by James and the manager (?). The Tavistock Wine Collection is always nice. The Key Lime Pot de Creme is my favorite dessert! James loves and recommended the Butterscotch Bread Pudding, but it just seems a little too heavy after a filling meal. One day!
I had not been to Napa Valley Grille for awhile; what at nice surprise.... the menu has changed and it is outstanding. I was there for lunch with a friend and there was some great choices for lunch. I ordered the pasta with clams and they were so so so good!! I understand they have a new chef!! I can't wait to go back again.
Best crab-cake benedict ever! The Napa Valley Grill's crabcake was perfect - delicate, fresh crab complemented by smooth, slightly-tangy hollandaise. The kale salad was an extraordinary and interesting complement. The complimentary slices of coffee cake were a nice touch, although a bit dry.
It was a bit noisy and crowded when we arrived, but many were getting a meal for the UCLA basketball game in the evening. After many people left for the game, the noise level went down, and our meal with some friends was much better. Good food and good service. They did not disappoint.
Napa Valley Grille creates a welcoming atmosphere from the time you walk in the door. Very nice staff. Good manager, Dave Meyers - who came over to introduce himself and ask us how our lunch was. Fine service from a delightful young woman named Tara. Excellent salads made it a perfect lunch choice for me and my guest. Absolutely plan to return, perhaps host a private party there.
I've been to this restaurant many times in the past. On a Tuesday night, it was pretty "dead", so I expected a bit more doting by the waiter. He was ok, but took too long to return to the table. Food continues to be excellent; wine list also excellent. I will continue to go.
