Napa River Grill
Excellent Brunch Buffet! Very nice selection of items. We will be going back!
While this is a very nice place to have Sunday Brunch, and they have lots of choices, we found it to be just ordinary. Nothing really stood out as great, unusual or special. Since it is one of the most expensive brunches in the area, we expected more . So it was not a good value and we can do better elsewhere.
The food was excellent as always. We met friends and sat on the patio. Perfect weather and the service was outstanding. Since we were outside, the noise level was minimum however by the time we left, a couple big parties arrived and were seated at the fire tables. Sounded like it was going to get loud out on the patio. Napa is always a good meal and a good time!
I love Napa River Grill. The food is always amazing and the service is great!
We had the Sunday Buffet and while the most of the food was tasty we were surprised to see burnt waffles and skillet potatoes being served. The potatoes were inedible. The grits were very good. Our server disappeared on many occasions and we were never asked or given the chance to order an omelet or Benedict. He basically brought coffee and the check which took a good 15 minutes to track him down.
Horrible experience. Not what I had experienced there before. Too much to write
Service was slow slow slow
Server was very helpful & attentive. Food was delicious but a bit too pricey
Great food choices on Sunday brunch buffet.
Great service from Sandy and the crew helping him. From champagne and wine recommendation to the specialty and creative anniversary dessert and presentation, it was a very nice experience. Saw some less than stellar reviews after making the reservation, but our evening was flawless.
All 7 of us agreed it was worst meal we’d had in years. Service was ok. Server was adequate. But the food was horrendous - the cornbread was dry and cold and literally inedible. I had a simple turkey sandwich-hard to screw up a turkey sandwich. But they managed to do just that. Bread was stale. Turkey was processed and tasteless. Asked for mustard which I never got. 3 others at the table had Reuben sandwich which was cold, on bad bread and the pastrami, if that’s what it was, was inedible. Even the salad tasted two days old. I will literally never again visit a Napa Grill and that was the consensus of the entire table.
The tuna special was AMAZIMG
The food was average, but a bit too expensive for the quality.
Surprisingly very poor service and marginal food.
The food was not good. None of us finished our meal.
May not come back. Cornbread slightly overdone. Ceaser salad with salmon was mediocre at best. Way oVer priced for what I got. Was disappointed.
Everything was great as always!! We enjoy the Sunday brunch!!
Our server sandy was terrific. And our busboy Jake was awesome
Because we had booked a table they wouldn’t let us have any of the happy hour specials... I think that this is wrong. We were paying for 6 meals and see no reason that we shouldn’t get happy hour prices when we were paying for meals
The food, as always, was very good but the service.left much to be desired. Our server was friendly and courteous, but he disappeared for long periods of time. Used dishes were not removed. The glasses from our pre-dinner drinks stayed on the table for most of the meal. We were promised cornbread (which is one of our favorite things at Napa) many times but it didn't actually appear until we were nearly finished with our meal. Napa River Grill is one our favorite restaurants, but I think next time we will rethink our choice.
The food was not very good especially for the price of 20$ a person for brunch. I asked for a box to take my left overs home and was told that they didn’t do that. Not worth the price! 🤢
Food was wonderful! All four of us were pleased.
The lights should have been turned down. Little too bright. Service was very good!
The food was very tasty, the service was great. Was a good ambient data night
Perfect date night spot-good food-good ambiance
I have dined at Napa River Grill on several occasions, and have enjoyed it so much that I brought a friend there to celebrate her birthday, which I noted on my reservation. However, her birthday was not acknowledged in any fashion. We order the hummus appetizer, and while the hummus flavor was good, the texture was more pasty than smooth. The tomato soup, waldorf salad, brownie dessert, and French press coffee were all very good. While our server was nice, he didn't mention any specials, soup of the day...we had to ask. And when he brought the coffee, he placed the sugar and cream near the end of the table...we were only a party of 2 sitting at a 4 top, so we had to lean over and reach for the sugar and cream. While it didn't cause us injury to have to reach for it, it was odd that he would place it at the opposite end and not with the coffee press. Overall, it was a fair to good experience.
This is one of my favorite places for brunch! They offer a variety of brunch items (not too heavy on just breakfast offerings) and do not sacrifice quality by making certain things in bulk. For example, omelettes / egg Benedict are made to order and included with the purchase of brunch. The chef stands behind the breakfast buffet and consistently tends to the bar. He’s also very personable and gives out recommendations on what you may want to try. I always leave brunch so full and happy! For the price, food quality and experience this place gets a 5 star review from me.
Great experience all around! Server was excellent. Food was well prepared nice variety
We love going to brunch at Napa River Grill! All the food is delicious and the everyone from the hostess to the manager are very attentive and accommodating. Our waiter was great. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Food and service was lackluster. Waited an extremely long time for our omelets and scrambles to come out. The server said the cook was late. I’ll planning on their part. Typically Napa River is better than this
My husband and I went for date night. The server at the bar was so slow ringing us out that we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. The bar wasn’t very busy. It was just bad service.
Once we got to our table it was 15 minutes before our waiter even came by. Again, the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Thirty five minutes after we were seated he came to take our orders. The food was ok, but definitely heavier than we expected and not memorable. Will not be going back.
The food was great and the service was fantastic. We would definitely go back to the restaurant.
Server was reminded three times to bring cornbread, which traditionally has been brought before the appetizer.
The reservation was made for a wedding anniversary but the occasion was not acknowledged by the manager, host, or server.
The special was a $40.00, lukewarm filet with lukewarm mashed potatoes served in a potato skin.
We’ve recommended this restaurant to others in the past but I don’t think we’ll ever go here again.
I’ve had better food and service at O’Charley’s, Logan’s or Texas RoadHouse.
Returned after a two year hiatus - as great as before....
Kudo's to the extroverted bartender for some shared conversations
our birthday celebration was wonderful. Our server Adam was excellent. Calamari was wonderful.
I loved the shrimp & grits !
Had forgotten they only had buffet service for lunch on Sunday, but it was a very adequate selection and good. I mostly prefer ordering from menu.
There were four of us who thoroughly enjoyed our evening. It was a lovely night so we sat outside on the beautiful patio. We all opted to try the special hamburger which was delicious. We started with the goat cheese appetizer. Everyone agreed it was one of the best. We had a couple sides of fries, asparagus and great wine. Great service to boot. Will definitely go back.
Great happy hour specials! The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
Terrible service from beginning to end! Save your time and money. Food is mediocre at best and over priced for what it is. Service and atmosphere are lacking.
We were not impressed at all for the price. The ambiance inside was very plain. The prices were high and the food was just ok. It wasn’t terrible but nothing compared to other Louisville offerings.
