Napa on Providence Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, we picked a Saturday lunch when the restaurant was slammed !! They had two large private parties, plus their normal lunch / brunch crowd. As a result , it took more than one hour to receive our food order !! So, if you go, do not select a nice Saturday lunch time -- or come in after 1:30 pm.
However, the food was very good and the wait staff tried to be attentive to our drink orders and keeping us informed as to timing for our meal.
We will go back. They deserve another chance.
My husband and I took our adult son to dinner at Napa on a Saturday night. Although it was noisy, as they were very busy, the food was excellent. I had the duck, maybe the best I have ever had !! Our son had the pork chop entree, and it was very good also. Service was also excellent. It was very busy in bar area, looks like a great place for younger professionals to meet up. Overall, great experience, and cannot wait to return.
Servers at the bar gave more attention to polishing glasses than to patrons. Not the first time I’ve made this observation and I’ve actually come to expect inattentive service at the bar. The convenient location, atmosphere and food keep me going back but I don’t expect much from the staff. Exception-the women running the hostess stand who were friendly and helpful.
This was my second visit with my wife for dinner. Everything was spot on. I had the duck and there little no room for improvement. The suggested bottle of Pinot went well, plus the price was only slightly above retail. The only odd thing was the "apple caramel tiramisu". It was no where close to being a tiramisu, but we left the plate clean ;-)
The folks at Napa have a great ambiance and the staff met our expectations. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a good evening out.
Had a great experience at Napa. Heather, our server, was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. She was the perfect mixture of attentive and respectful of space. Our drinks were unique, tasty, and memorable. Wine was on point, and served by the in-house Somm, Fred, who knew more about the wine than I know about half of my relatives. The food was fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the pork chop and said that it was hands down the best she has ever had. I ordered the seared beef tenderloin. It was cooked a perfect rare, and the veal demi nailed what I was looking for. Dessert was an apple tiramisu. Sounds strange, but easily rates in my top 3 desserts of all time. Will go back, possibly this week.
Had Christmas Eve dinner here . Server was exceptional - attentive but not intrusive. His recommendation were excellent. All of the courses were delicious. Drinks and wine were great! Highly recommend, not just for a special occasion, but to make any dinner a special occasion!
Napa is our fave go-to. It is a lovely spot for Christmas Eve dinner. This was our third year in a row. Service & food are always excellent. The specials were nice for the holiday. They are accommodating for disabilities & children... one more reason we keep coming back! Kim, Cynthia, Charlie, Fred, Olaf, & Lindsey... thank you!
Outstanding service and the food was excellent. As a vegetarian, I find it hard to have a really good meal at a restaurant. But I lucked out and got Kevin as my server, who's also a vegetarian, and he suggested a dish they could make without the meat. He told me don't worry, he's got me covered - and he did!
I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and it did not disappoint! The food and service was wonderful. Their beef carpaccio was the best that I have ever enjoyed. Their bartender was very informative and welcoming! Would 100% recommend and will be returning!
Our waiter, Seth, truly made our recent experience even more memorable he was EXCELLENT!! He was exceptional!! Also the ladies at the front reception area were so friendly and happy to see us they made us feel so welcomed!! Totally like Fed our experience! Will be returning soon!! ❤️
Overall food was ok, I ordered the Duck Benedict and it was cold as it has been seating on the counter for hours. Presentation was terrible and literately have 8 cubes of breakfast potatoes on my plate. All the other items on the order were good on flavor/ presentation but cold
The server was amazing and very accommodating.
Great cozy restaurant. Our waitress was so delightful and provided exceptional service. The waiter who delivered our food was inexperienced. He handed plates to us across the table, rather than move near us and set them down accordingly. For the price we were not as impressed with the food as we’d hoped. My husband had the mahi special, but felt the serving was small. I chose the scallops dish. Seafood was fresh and scallops were large. They were cooked perfectly, however they were quite salty and the slaw lacked flavor. The food wouldn’t keep us coming back, but the restaurant itself is inviting.
Napa provides consistent, high quality food which changes seasonally. Our experience tonight was excellent with a great duck duo and salmon Caesar salad. My only slight quibble is that this was the second time at Napa where one of the wines on tap was not available. If a wine is unavailable, perhaps letting the servers know would avoid a trip back to the customer with the bad news.
The service was really good. Nice people and they honored the note about my wife's birthday and provided us with a complimentary dessert. Great experience from that standpoint. My wife's Haddock dish was phenomenal. The bread and butter was also amazing. My squash soup and clam pasta were good. However, I could not justify their price. The soup was a slight but bland and the pasta was pretty salty. All in all we enjoyed ourselves a lot and would go back. However, it would be a once in a blue moon thing because hard to get excited about the food for the price of the menu.
