This was my 1st visit to Napa on Providence and It was an amazing brunch experience and I can’t wait to visit again!
Napa is always good food, however on this day, they had set a wedding party of 16 in the main dining room. The extreme noise put a damper on our outing. We will return but wish they would have secluded this group, as it was evident that all around this table were annoyed.
Had a great time at the bar!
Cara was amazing:)
From the entrance to the exit, the experience and food is some of the best in Charlotte! The wife and I shared the calamari appetizer-it was golden, brown and delicious. Our entree's were both pasta dishes- they were both served al denté and both of the sauces that accompanied each dish were very well prepared and not broken whatsoever (Braised short ribs papardelle and the clam fettuccine) . Portions were not too heavy, but definitley left us wanting more (Dinner portions), and the great thing was we each had sauce leftover after eating almost the entire dish to soak up into the fresh daily baked bread they serve you with a Pomegranate Compound Butter at the beginning of your dining experience. Dessert was the Black Forest Trifle...wow they literally left me wanting a whole piece to myself, and wanting more. Great work and great cooking all around, staff is 100% professional and pleasant to be around. Their smiles are contagious. I will return again for sure.
Kayla (s.i.c. - Kaila?) was a great server who was enjoyable, knowledgeable and very helpful. Kim Hemsley is always a gracious manager. Napa has a wonderful bustle and energy about it because of her. Food was delicious as always. Thank you for the birthday dessert!
It has been a few years since I’ve been here and I returned when my friend asked for cocktails and a nice salad. I made a reservation days in advance. We were refused a booth when asked, although there were 4 open. And we had a reservation. Usually I am very easy going and accept whatever given but I distinctly remember being treated poorly the last time I ate here. The waiter was not very friendly and did not seem to be happy to be there. All of this is fine but then the Salmon Cobb salad was disappointing. The salmon tasted very fishy. The tuna tartare on the other hand was very good. Honestly there are so many amazing new restaurants especially around Southend that will treat you well and have great food. Napa appears to have just the Myers Park crowd coming in. If you want a more diverse setting, go to Midwood or Southend.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Napa and had a wonderful experience. The ambience, food and service were all superb. I had the beef tenderloin and my wife ordered the seared tuna. I highly recommend Napa!
Our group enjoyed Napa on Providence. The menu has a wide range of delicious options, but not so many that it’s overwhelming. The food was quite good. We each would have had another glass of wine, but our server didn’t ask... was a bit strange that the food was brought and even though wine glasses were empty, the waiter didn’t come check to see if anyone would like another glass. Overall it was a nice experience though and we would likely eat there again.
Lunch was okay. Things that excelled were the decor and service. But one thing was a bit odd. Serving water in odd shaped metal cups? Odd.They are difficult to drink from and impossible to see the water level without looking down in the cup. The food was pretty good. Onion soup - outstanding. The Blackened Salmon sandwich was good. The bun was a bit large and the fries were very good.
Great service Amazing food awesome place!
Service was great as well
Not good at all; we typically have great meals but everything we had was barely average!
The brunch is the best! Always love coming here.
We had a reservation for 7 to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. Although we were running a few minutes late, the staff was still super accommodating. The waiter asked who’s birthday it was, which I felt was a nice touch. The service was excellent. Overall the food was good, with generous portions except for the scallop dish, which was on the small side. My only real complaint was that the food was too salty. Based on the service and ambiance we will be back!
This was my first time to eat at Napa on Providence. The food & service were excellent!
Very pleased with service and food; however, menu was somewhat limited.
Ambiance is very good & wait staff well trained. Food was good, not great. My wife had tuna entre that was not good, would have sent it back if we hadn't been with customers. Wine list was not extensive, but very good options. Restaurant was very crowded & loud. Great for having good time, not good for conducting business.
Food and service was awesome, made my mom and dad's anniversary special, thank you!
Our meal was outstanding, as always. We celebrated a birthday with small plates and cocktails, and were treated to a beautiful dessert with a candle for the birthday girl. The vibe is always lively at Napa and the service never disappoints. Jackie and Kelley mixed up some delicious drinks while we waited on our table, and Katie and Olaf were on top of their game while we dined at a booth. Three lovely ladies greeted us with smiles at the door and the manager, Gavin, checked in on us from time to time to ensure that we were happy. Super friendly staff and an overall amazing time at Napa on Providence!
I actually booked an event at Napa before trying the food! You were highly recommended and reviewed plus having a separate room was a must. We came on Saturday to try the brunch menu and everything was so good, it was hard to choose 4 of the 6 we tried! Our server was engaging and knowledgable and the service was great. Considering the quality and amount of food, including a carafe of mimosas, it was very reasonably priced. You have surpassed my expectations and I feel so confident of you all handling our event!
Had a wonderful time
The hangar steak and braised pork shank dish is outstanding.
The place was very noisy. People were shouting to be heard across their tables. Quite unpleasant.
I just wish they could do better with the food! The entrees are so overly salted they're barely edible. This past Saturday evening, my husband had the short rib pasta which he should have sent back. It had little to no short rib and the beef sauce was so salty it was inedible. I had the chicken agnolloti which was decent but the dish was salty and the chicken really dry. For dessert we shared a walnut brownie with caramel sauce which was so cloying sweet we couldn't finish it. Napa has great ambiance and service I just wish the food was better.
Wow, make reservations in advance, it's very popular place indeed, good food and drinks with specialty cocktails as well.
You will not be disappointed at all here.
Food was great. Lyndsay was great. Special date!
This was my first time dining at Napa and it certainly won't be my last! The meal started out wonderfully with fresh baked bread and honey pomegranate butter and kept getting better from there. Chris took excellent care of us, delivering drinks promptly and our charcuterie board shortly thereafter. For my meal I took Chris' recommendation of the duck duo, which was divine. My companion had the salmon, and she said it was delicious, too. For dessert, we shared a pear torte that was delightful. Overall, I cannot think of a negative thing to say about the experience, and I look forward to my next visit!
Chase was amazing
Great lunch - it was a little crowded and so loud and our server seemed very busy - but, good problem to have! I eat there a lot and will continue to do so.
Convenient location for brunch after church, however food was just ok. Frittata was beautiful, with lots of winter veggies, but way overcooked. Salads with salmon were ok. Server seemed too busy to be bothered by us, and not very helpful/available. However, I know Charlotte seems to be short on help, so maybe that’s the problem.
The food and service was amazing the whole layout in the restaurant was nice my lady and I planned on coming back again to eat I recommend anyone to eat there
Amazing food and amazing service! Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!
The food and service was wonderful.
We've been here before, and as previous, this was another good experience. Good food, service, and cocktails. Great brunch!
Great food and service. Wonderful wine list, a bit noisy but manageable.
We went to Napa for our anniversary and we were not sorry. We had the grilled salmon and it was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium and my husband medium well and both were perfectly done. It was crispy wood fire grilled on the outside and soft and tender inside. The broccolini and mashed cauliflower were also excellent. They brought us a chocolate velvet cake for our anniversary and it was rich and yummy!
Everything - food, service, ambiance - was outstanding. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Charlotte.
I'm usually hesitant to go out for dinner on Valentine's Day but we weren't going to have time to cook that night for ourselves so... It was crowded, seated at a table that was uncomfortably small with my back to the doorway so I had waitstaff brushing by me all evening. The beet gnocchi was tasty but the presentation had it looking like hogs' brains. The hollandaise on the asparagus appetizer was superb. Lamb entree was under seasoned and just barely above room temperature. The steak was too thin to get a good crust and serve medium rare. My chocolate fondue was watery, could not coat a strawberry. Hers was like a thick pot de creme, no way to submerge a strawberry into it. Waitress was knowledgeable and pleasant but had to many tables to provide proper service - ran out of water twice and waited 15 minutes to get our check.
Ambience was good, service can be improved and the food quality can also improve. I would rate my experience 6/10. Maybe I would try this place again but not anytime soon.
