I have dined at Napa Grille several times. Menu offers lots of choice. Atmosphere inviting. Staff very courteous and helpful.
Our waitress was very pleasant and amusing. She was quick to tell us what we were ordering tasted great. Her selection for our wine was right on target. The food came in a timely manner. All in All it was a pleasant experience. My niece and I had a great time
It was a very relaxing atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed it
Staff are very friendly. They accommodated my mothers walker and gave us a nice private table. Food was good. Wraps, pasta and salad.
Food took a bit of time to come which we weren't in a rush so this was ok.
Would return on another occasion.
I have ate there several times with the same group. We attend prior to attending the Dunfield Theatre. We have always advised the waiter/waitress that we need service to accommodate our 2:00 pm Theatre time. Reservation is for 12:00. Unfortunately, yesterday( March 23/17) the service was extremely slow. Orders were taken by 12:15 and at 12:55 we advised our waitress again of our time constraints. Our meals were served quickly after this. The food was all hot as expected. This was a disappointment from our previous visits. The waitress appeared too busy..???
This was a great find. The location is excellent for dinner if attending a Drayton production. The service was exceptional and the food delicious.
Excellent steaks, salmon and ribs... Good wine selection and desserts. Not cheap but better value and food than the Keg without spending the $ of a Black Shop or Mill. We will go back!
Waitress was very helpful and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and dessert.
One year under new ownership and new chef... The menu is more or less the same, not too many attractive options to choose from.
The restaurant that operated at this location 15-20 years ago used to be a town gem . The menu and people working there at that time were the main attraction. We kept going back... Lunch and dinner...
Not too much lately...
A very nice atmosphere to celebrate a birthday. Nice of the restaurant to provide a complimentary dessert. I was also impressed by the offering of a craft beer supplied by the local craft brewer Grand River Brewing.
we have always rated Nappa our number one favourite restaurant.
Food is always great!
Great staff and service and the food selection was good, but the quality of food was ok. Seemed it was cooked in a bit of a rush and the restaurant was empty. With a few upgrades and more love from the chef this place would be great!
We had a great time celebrating my birthday at the Napa Grill and Wine Den. I would recommend it to others. It has a great variety of food options for different levels of taste and a wide selection of price points. The ambiance was nice, the waiter was lovely and I would not hesitate to go back.
Really enjoyed the meal. We were on a schedule to go to the theatre and our server Steven was fabulous. He made suggestions, checked on certain items for us and very professionally friendly. Thanks Steven. I would recommend to others.
Amazing food and service. Great lunch menu albeit very small portions.
Food was very good. Service was friendly but slo-o-o-w.
I really appreciated the reservation process online and the reminder email. The food was very good, but a little pricey for apps you can get most places. The ambiance was lovely, but a large group was behind us, so it was probably a bit louder than it normally would be. Service was excellent. Our server was Tanya and she was very friendly and funny:)
Confusion over seating. Waitress slow in taking order and got it wrong. Charge error for wine served. Outside advertizing "new menu", inside told new menu is coming. Generally not impressed. Much better experience on previous visits.
Very enjoyable. Peaceful dining. Excellent food and service!
should have gone to the Keg, the Mill, charcoal or mcdonalds
As usual the food and service was excellent. They always try very hard to get things right and check on you often- which is not a problem unless you want to be alone and that can be arranged.
Great tasting food, but after 30 minutes of waiting they told me they didn't have what I ordered and the party of 4 next to us got served long before my party of 2
The Napa is so handy when attending the theatre close by. Great atmosphere & food. Staff are very friendly and attentive to all needs.
The restaurant is in need of updating its menu and renovating the interior. Menu items are old standard choices and very overpriced. Plate presentation needs to be improved too. The only good point was the service. There are better places to eat in Cambridge that offer better value.
Tasty meal..something for everyone in our party of six adults.
Vey filling, so had to leave room for dessert.
I had the quinoa stuffed portabella mushroom entree and was blown away by the flavour.
My cousins were impressed with Napa Grill's offerings too.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. Service was good, friendly & attentive, food was excellent. I had ribs, good size serving and my wife had tenderloin fillet, perfectly cooked and a very nice quality of beef.
We found that Open Table offered only late evening (7:45 pm and later) reservations Online. Checking when at the restaurant, they could not understand why and recommended we call the restaurant if that happened again.
We had hoped for a view of the river but sadly, that is not possible from the restaurant or patio.
An enjoyable evening; great food.
The waitress was very informative and chatty. The service was a little slow but the restaurant was quite busy. I was quite disappointed in my prime rib because it is usually quite tasty. I have never had tough prime but mine was tough. I did mention it to our server but she didn't seem too concerned. I make Prime rib and have never had tough cut.
Have had far better food for the price. Gluten free &/or low sugar options are practically non-existent as was any dairy free options for coffee. Our group had at least one person in need of one or more of these options. With the number of people these days requiring dietary restrictions &/or alternatives, it seems a little insensitive of a restaurant, esp at this price range, not to have any on the menu. As well, the wine list was average for a place called 'Napa'. We found only one Merlot offered as a house selection & being quite familiar with Napa, we searched for some of the premier wineries available from the area, & found the menu lacking. The ambiance was redeeming, however, with the restaurant being mostly empty, we thought sitting a group with small loud children directly beside us was, again, a tad insensitive. Overall the portions & flavour were average (not bad & not great) but the only server in the place did his best to be above average. I would in all likelihood not enthusiastically recommend this restaurant as it was just simply average for this price range.
It was a rainy day and we arrived an hour early for our reservation. We had a drink at the bar and had an enjoyable chat with Debbie & Sandy. Once our friends arrived we opted to remain at the bar for another drink. Our table (booth) was cozy and quiet enough for conversation in spite of a large group and most tables occupied. Our server, Andrew, was attentive and did a fine job serving us. The food was incredible, the appetizers (torpedo shrimp & melt-in-your-mouth calamari), the blackened red snapper, quinoa stuffed portabello mushrooms and the fish chowder. Finished off the meal with creme brûlée and coffee!! Overall a great visit, will definitely return soon to check out the new menu!! Thank you!!
Our meal was great but sadly our server was not It was a miserable rainy night, our first visit which they knew & options for food not properly explained we felt rushed & unimportant as many other customers were obviously regulars & were given a lot of attention The manager or waitress never came back after serving to see how we were doing a custom of most restaurants
A disapointing end to an other wise lovely day (theater with friends)
Will not return
Our group went there prior to the play at Dunfield Theatre. The food was good. I had an appetizer that I remembered from our visit last year and it was as good as I recalled. My chicken/brie/berry sandwich was tasty and interesting. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The table surface was lovely. It was noisy but at least the people were happy.
Service was at best average. Needed to ask for bread. Described my meal as huge. Only described the plate size. Disappointed with size for a $28 entree. Waitress appeared to forget about us. No water refill. Did not bring forks with dessert. Continued to tell us that kitchen was busy and would not accept any more orders because of a wedding. Wedding really my problem. Next time, staff properly.
Consistently good food and good service. Never disappoints !
Excellent all the way! Have been several times and would definitely return, either as a group or just for 2. Special thanks for such great service!
Good food. Good service. Will be back.
Our foursome enjoyed the Asian salmon, Waterloo schnitzel and key lime pie as well as our attentive but not intrusive waitress.
Had family from Saskatchewan and had a before show dinner. The service was great and we were within walking distance of the theatre. Would go back again. Everyone ordered something different from the menu and each person enjoyed their dinner.
Napa is one of my regular 'go-to' restaurant in Cambridge. Partly because of it's convenient location and pleasant ambiance and also because it is relatively good value for the dollar. However, our recent visit wasn't up to par. Our meal was nicely presented and tasty but not exceptional. My trout (the evening feature) was overcooked but my colleagues enjoyed their dinner. The restaurant was crowded and busy because many people were having dinner prior to attending the theatre (Napa offers a special price to local theatre audiences). We didn't actually mind the activity but were very disappointed in our server who seemed to be entirely uninterested in 'connecting' with us at all - a half-hearted listing of the specials, no effort to find out if decaf tea was available and hardly made eye contact with any of us through out the entire time we were there. Napa has several 'regular' servers that are outstanding but this woman is not one of them!
Celebrating a friend's birthday. 6:30 pm seating on a Saturday. Seated in the back room with broken A/C. They closed all the blinds to try to keep the heat out and another patron at a different table opened them because it was so dark. The restaurant was quite empty yet they chose to continue to seat people in that section with the uncomfortable heat. The Kitchen ran out of Shrimp appetizer. And We got "the last two Surf and Turf" specials according to the waiter. Not sure who does the food inventory control. Lobster tails were overcooked and rubbery. Steaks were ordered medium and arrived quite rare. Cappuccinos at the end of the evening were served almost 10 minutes apart after I had reminded another wait staff member that we were expecting two. Saving grace was that the Waiter was pleasant enough with a good sense of humour. I would not recommend.
Very noisy can 't have a good conversation Food was okay Would rate it better but not hot enoug Great Service
