Napa at Kingsley
Great place grat location. The food was delicious! Great wine selection, I will definitely be going back.
We went to brunch and my eggs were poached, but came out overdone. They redid the eggs correctly, but when I got them the rest of my food was cold, I assembled the correct eggs and hollandaise myself, and they still charged me for the dish. I would have understood paying for the dish if they brought me a new one, but felt like for a brunch that was over $100 with tip that was a bit outrageous.
This was our first time there, and I'm willing to try it out again. We were there for lunch/brunch on a Sunday. We were seated next to a table adults and 4 children 2-5 years of age. They were loud. As a parent of two, I get you do have to take them out in public. They got very loud and did take away from the setting. Food and portion sizes were good. No major issues … the quiche was good but a little runny (not sure if that was undercooked eggs or from the spinach & meat. Between two appetizers and four entrees the total came up to less than $100 after tip. If you haven't been, give it a shot. Seems like it'd be great for a date night.
Good food, champagne, and service.
Husband’s scallops good. I got small plates crab cakes. Neither of us of liked them. Service was ok but slow. So far this place has been hit or miss. No Birthday dessert offered like most places. The waitperson said after I asked, “oh it’s a Birthday”, after I had told her several times. Very expensive so not a place I want it to be a possibly miss.
The last time I cane was at lunch and 3 things we tried to order wasn’t available so we left.
The time before our waiter got to busy to continue to wait on us.
Two other times : one at Brunch was very good. Chicken and Waffles were excellent. First time was good although fish wasn’t sent hot as it should have been. I’d really like to see place succeed. It has a lot of potential but waitstaff needs to improve so food comes out hot and many other things need to improve. My daughter asked me why I kept trying to go back and it’s because I keep looking for improvements. I hope they come.
Loved it! Both the food and the service was amazing! We will definitely be back!!!
The food was excellent and we felt very taken care of by our server. I had the short rib, my husband had the duck duo and our friend had the butternut squash agnolotti. The chef allowed my friend to substitute a pesto sauce on the butternut squash dish and he was very pleased. Every dish was well thought out and delicious. Our dessert of apple cake was perfect to end the evening...warm and soft and surprisingly good. It was pricey but one of the best meals I have had in a long time and well worth it. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!!!
This was our first visit to Napa. It was even better than we imagined. The location is convenient for us and is in a lovely, laid back setting. The restaurant decor was inviting, sleek, and modern. Our service was excellent and the various dishes that we tried, were all outstanding. Our group consisted of very diverse eaters (gluten free, vegetarian, etc) and there was something for everyone on the menu. We will be back.
This is my third visit and the food is always great. This is a nice spot to take clients or just meet friends for drinks on their outside patio.
Food was excellent and unique, prepared perfectly and our server David was equally awesome!
The food and service was over the top. I brought a friend who had never been to the restaurant and they gave us a free charcuterie plate which was absolutely wonderful. It featured wonderful meats, cheeses, bread, mustard and pickles as well as their home made granola and honey. We had their beet salad which was very good as well as the crab cake and meatball small plates. It was more food than we were able to finish. Altogether a wonderful evening!
Mostly disappointing. Started off pretty good but left us wishing we had gone elsewhere. Our waiter fixed the wobble on the table, poured water into metal cups (gave the water a metallic taste), took our order awhile later but never asked for our beverage order. Long wait for food considering there were 3 different items for 5 diners. My crab cakes were mostly filler, ground crab-no lumps but tasty. Tried the quiche filling was pretty good. Yes, we ate the food - not the raw crust, so we didn’t complain. Two of us signed up on the website prior to our visit & we both thought something was said about getting a perk but no one knew anything about that. One of the ladies called that evening & the next day to voice concerns to the manager but no one was available to speak with her. Because you asked I am telling you, but the food was not even close to being worth the price, so, no recommendation & no return. Sorry, hope you can clean up your act.
Great lunch. Food was fantastic. Service and atmosphere nice.
Anniversary dinner. Quiet on Sunday evenings. Great time to go for a nice dinner.
David was beyond outstanding!!!! Made the whole evening extra special. And the foot was awesome as well. Highly recommend.
First time and it's now on our list as a regular. Service, food, ambiance, were all 5 star. Happy to have a good choice without having to go to Charlotte. Highly recommended
Celebrated my wife’s birthday at Napa. Everything was great - particularly our sever Terrell who was very knowledgable about wine and food parings. Had a great time and will be back!
This was our 2nd visit to Napa. Our first experience was great so we wanted to go again.
We were placed in a side room with 4 total tables. It was extremely loud in this particular area, mostly coming from one couple that likely had a too few many. We were able to power through this but it was rather annoying. The noise just bounced off the windows and walls and could hear everyone’s conversations.
We had high expectations given our positive experience previously. We ordered the calamari and butternut squash soup for starters. Both fell flat. The soup was barely warm and the calami was over fried. We ate about half of both and our fabulous waitress from the Buffalo, NY area asked if we didn’t like them. We gave her our feedback and she took the calamari off our bill even though we didn’t expect that at all. But we appreciated her taking action.
I ordered a flatbread pizza (should have stuck with the salmon dish) and my lovely lady ordered the scallops, just like she did on our first go around. Both were okay, not mind-blowing.
I also recommend a good local IPA on draft as well. Like Wicked Weed or Noda Hop Drop
We will definitely give it a few more opportunities but as it stands today, we prefer the food at the Wine Shop in RiverGate. Just won’t be in a rush. I say this only to help Napa improve. I want to see them be successful as we appreciate good food as we are lacking in this department in the Fort Mill area.
I felt like I was in CA with the ambiance, wine and food. Staff were knowledgeable on all questions asked about wine and food. A fun place.
Great time out with new neighbors! Excellent food and ambience! Will definitely come back again!
While it is a beautiful restaurant, the food did not meet my expectations. The meatballs on polenta were lukewarm and flavorless. The crab cakes were not spiced enough either. The brussels sprouts side was tasty.
Food was great. I thought the wine selection per glass was not enough. Only 1 white was in my price range.
We waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant wasn't even busy. I'd hate to see how long we'd have to wait on the weekend. The server left to tend bar halfway through our wait and we never saw him again. Terrible service, but the food was okay once we got it.
We scheduled a business dinner of 12 people and the overwhelming experience feedback was awesome ... from the location to the service, to the food, to the drinks ... everything was absolutely wonderful.
Excellent brunch menu. Spoiler alert....Nice birthday surprise was presented by our server that was delicious and unexpected.
Napa at Kingsley was a wonderful experience. We were there for our fifth anniversary and our waiter, Terrell, was excellent at providing top notch service. He kept our glasses full and provided great recommendations for wine and dessert. We will definitely be back to see him and enjoy another great meal at Napa at Kingsley!
Based on my experience at Napa at Kingsley on Saturday, October 5, 2019, I would not be likely to recommend this restaurant to a friend. I ordered the ribeye special for my entree, and 70% of the cut of meat was fat, making it difficult to eat. However, the polenta and vegetables that came with the dinner were good. I definitely do NOT believe that my dinner was worth the $35 or $36 that the restaurant was charging for it. Also, the charcuterie dish that my wife and I had as an appetizer was alright, but I certainly did not think that it was worth the $18 that the restaurant is charging for it. Finally, we ordered the apple upside down cake with bourbon ice cream for dessert, and both my wife and I were incredibly dissatisfied with this dessert. The cake itself was as dry as the sands of Egypt. I don't know if the executive chef cooked our entire meal on Saturday, but if he did not, he needs to consider taking a more active role in the kitchen. If the executive chef did cook all of our food, maybe he needs to consider a career change. Regardless, after my dinner on Saturday evening, my impression of this restaurant is one that is charging sky-high prices for mediocre food, and I doubt that my wife and I will be back. I picked this restaurant for dinner on Saturday because it was my wife's birthday celebration, and I was very disappointed with how the evening turned out because of the quality of the food and the prices that I was charged for it.
Beautiful restaurant and view with outstanding service and food. We had two of the small plates, the crab and meatballs and the Napa Salad and the Caesar Salad. All were outstanding and well priced.
We were entertaining guests from out of town and they were very impressed! It was not our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Fabulous food and a shout out to our server Viktoria who did a wonderful job.
First time here and very pleased especially with the service. My guest and I shared the meatball starter with cheese and polenta which was excellent. Then we enjoyed a flat bread entrée and I had the scallops with roasted Brussel sprout. All were delicious the food was a -plenty and the wine list was extensive We plan to be back very soon
I noted that this was a birthday on the reservation but nothing was said or done for that. I am not sure if I needed to do anything else. Also, the server told us one price for the special but we were charged more and had to get it corrected. The food was very good and I will go back and give it another chance.
Entire experience was outstanding. We always request David as our server and he is excellent. We frequent this restaurant and highly recommend it! The duck duo was amazing!!
Been here 2 other times. Definitely slow service today. It wasn’t that crowded and we had to wait a long time for our food.
Food was great, but they didn’t have any ranch and were out of mayo.
This was our first visit and it was pretty amazing! It’s a beautiful place with good wine, very good food, and excellent service!
I wanted to love this location because we adore the Providence location, however I am very disappointed in our first visit here.
Upon arrival, we had a reservation and were seated right away. Once seated, we waited 15 minutes before my husband had to walk to the front and ask for some service as no one acknowledged us after being seated. We waited another 5-7 minutes after that before a server finally tended to us. She took our drink order and brought water but forgot our kids’ juice. Many minutes later she came back to let us know they don’t even serve that juice.
Once the food arrived, my toddler’s eggs had what looked like a long curly hair in them and the plate was dirty.
The server apologized and brought a new plate of eggs for him.
As for the dishes, my grandmother had the French toast (which was loaded with way too much cream cheese) and she says it was overly sweet - she couldn’t even finish it.
My husband had the chicken and waffles, very underwhelming. The chicken did not taste freshly fried, it was dry and difficult to cut. The waffle was lacking flavor.
As for myself, I had the pork hash that was also pretty bland and contained maybe 2 small pieces of pork in the whole dish. The poached eggs were extremely runny (I understand some people like eggs this way, I do not) for my taste.
At the end of our meal, the manager profusely apologized and comped a couple of our entrees as well as providing us with desserts.
My toddlers were served vanilla ice cream that was actually really nice - the texture was great, not too sweet, maybe slightly eggy, but a very pleasant ice cream.
We were also served a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake that was just okay - the cheesecake itself was fine, the crust was weird. It didn’t have a crunch, it was soggy and seemed undercooked.
Lastly, we had the s’mores bar and it was also underwhelming. The reservation notes stated we were celebrating a birthday and there was never any acknowledgment of that the entire visit.
Wonderful restaurant. Love their food, wine and location. So happy to see Ft Mill with some nice options for date night and brunch.
There were four in our party. Between us, we ordered the veal piccata, grilled pork chop, wild salmon and lobster fettuccine. Everyone was happy with his or her meal. The Napa salad was excellent; the Caesar and caprese salads were also good. The veal was served over fontina ravioli--delicious! My only complaint is that vegetables are extra. (The entree comes with a very small amount.) Also, my meal was a bit too salty for my taste (but in all fairness, I rarely use any salt). We ate outside, and it was beautiful. (It seemed a bit too noisy for us inside.) Our server was professional and friendly--we will definitely return.
Such a great menu! Everything was great from the service to the wine. The food is by far one of the best be had in a while. It rivals the restaurants in Charlotte and is definitely worth the drive!
