About
Second time dining at Nancy. Service was a little slow, but food outstanding. We'll be back.
The atmosphere in NANCY was very sophisticated and lovely and the staff was very friendly. The food was very good, however a few of us did have a lot of uncooked rice in our dishes. We were also disappointed that they offer no beer selection at all. It almost felt like a message of "if you eat here you're better than that", and we certainly disagree. Otherwise it was a very nice experience. The salmon and the carrot ginger soup were delicious.
Way over priced for the good. Example lettuce and vegetable with avacado was $39.
Love the environment and the staff. Our favorite place on the island.
Great food except my Salmon was unfortunately overcooked. My wife's seabass was perfect. Waitress compted my dessert which was very nice. However fish should never be overcooked in a restaurant of this quality.
We enjoyed our evening at Nancy’s...as usual. The sea bass was exceptional! My husband enjoyed his pasta dish as well.
Overall, it was a very lovely experience. Just as expected.
Absolutely a fantastic experience. The food, the service was 5 Star! Highly recommend Nancy!
We wanted a "Fine Dining Experience" for a special night and found it at Nancy. Great food, great ambiance (complete with piano player) and so much more intimate and quiet than some of the other places we've been before. Our Server was both pleasant and well informed and offered a wine that was exceptional. We will be back ! Thanks to the entire Staff.
Valentines
Valentines night
We went to Nancy on a weeknight before Valentines Day and were delighted to find a small quiet atmosphere with a talented piano player. There has a small but very nice wine selection. Similarly, the menu was small but had a very nice variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts
The entrees came promptly and were delicious we were accomdated in sharing a wonderful seafood crepe appetizer and a simple dessert
The price was very reasonable considering the quality.
The owner/chef Abney stopped by and we had a very nice discussion. Overall
a wonderful evening.
Always wonderful
We had heard about “NANCY” for a while and finally had the opportunity to try it. We were greeted with a cheerful “hello” and warm smiles. Both the owner and manager were on site and couldn’t have been more delightful. The ambience was chic without being stuffy— very tasteful. The menu is varied and creative. There are certainly plenty of options for “picky eaters” as well as those with dietary restrictions. We were able to modify our food to accommodate our specific issues. For appetizers we had the lemon grass and coconut crepe with shrimp as well as the curried sweet potato soup with cilantro mint chutney and finally the crab and watercress soufflé. All three were out of this world! Creative, beautifully presented and delicious. For our entrees we had ginger lime salmon as well as the sea bass. Once again both total “home runs”. The fish was incredibly fresh and tastefully garnished in a way that allowed the flavor of the fish to shine. Unfortunately and regretfully we didn’t have room for dessert which gives us another experience to look forward to when we dine again at NANCY.
The service was amazing, our waiters were incredibly attentive. I had the salmon & citrus salad - a pairing so perfect I am so glad they were recommended! The chef (Abney) welcomed us, and the piano player (not sure if this is the every weekend etc?) played beautifully. Light, flavorful, wonderful design and cheerful staff. All around great evening and looking forward to coming back!
Spring rolls and other food was excellent except for the chickenpot pie which lacked chicken.
We had a wonderfully delicious and private dinner!!
Lorna is a wonderful server and human being. She made the experience a hoot! Food quality and presentation is on point. We had a lovely Nee Year’s Eve meal. We love dining at NANCY.
Always wonderful, elegant, and very comfortable place to spend time with my wife and family.
Most creative delicious food we have had in a very long time. We were seated in the second room which initially felt like we were in the back room but it only added to the evening as we could all hear each other perfectly!!the 4 of us each ordered different apps and entrees so we tried 8 things. 7 of 8 were outstanding!!! And the 8th had lovely sides. The sea bass and Asian black rice was the favorite. We don’t live in the area but plan our trips to Jekyll and never miss the opportunity to visit this gem!
Wonderful menu and presentation was tops. Waitress knew the menu very well. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area.
It was my first time at NANCY and absolutely everything was incredible. We tried two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. I am sure nothing could have been better.
Hands down the best restaurant anywhere between Savannah and Jacksonville.
A favorite of mine. Food is consistently flavorful! Service is exceptional! On the high side of price spectrum. Always a pleasurable meal with a hint of elegance! Love both lunch and dinner!❤️
Nancy is a fabulous restaurant. The service is great and the atmosphere is delightful. But what people come for is the unbelievable food. I had the Cured bacon with Sriacha molasses as a starter. It sounds a little odd, but it was delicious. For my main course I had Braised duck leg with avocado , ginger, and butternut squash. I love duck and have it whenever I see it on a menu, and this was one of the best.
My wife had the Steamed pork buns with Asian sauce. It was like being in a really good Chinese restaurant. For her main course she had Sea Bass with avocado, black rice and Vietnamese carrot salad. It was fabulous, as it always is. They always have great fish. Salmon is their other specialty.
The food is always outstanding! The service is wonderful!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a restaurant affiliated with a women’s clothing boutique, but we just loved this place. Food was exquisite. The main ingredient, meat or fish, was of high quality and perfectly cooked. What made the meal exceptional were the surprising little touches of unexpected flavor. My husband said his sea bass was the best he has had. Nice wine selection as well as full bar. Service was both highly professional and very entertaining. The piano player was not there the night we went so I can’t comment on that aspect. There seemed to be a lot of locals dining there-always a good sign in a vacation spot. Memorable evening.
Fabulous food!! Our favorite restaurant in the Golden Isles area!
First time diners and this is a definite redo. The food was superb - we both had the salmon and shared the lemongrass scallops. Our server was lots of fun with prompt, courteous service. Wonderful ambience.
The experience was outstanding on all levels. The food and service were both outstanding. We were there with most dear friends and the experience could not have been more wonderful.
always the best on the island. Go at 730 to hear the piano.
The server was wonderful. They were serving the tomato soup at night and I was there for lunch and she served it to me. I really really appreciated it. :)
Perfect in every way.
By far, Nancy is the best restaurants on St. Simons! The food, ambience and service are impeccable and it is great for date night, quiet dinner or out with friends. They also add a bonus with a superb piano player on the weekends. Really special! I have never been disappointed.
NANCY is consistently excellent. It compares well to the nicest restaurants in major cities--but it's on St. Simons and there is a bit of Southern charm about it! It deserves its reputation as the best on the Islands.
The food is outstanding; hats off to the chef.
That said the front of the house is a mess- a waitress that argues with customers, a plastic lawn chair covered in duckcloth for a seat ( I expect that kind of seating in a young person's first apartment), waiting in line 20 minutes behind three people for the one bathroom next door in the back of a clothing store, and getting charged for an extra dinner and desserts we never ordered and thus tipped too much is enough to keep us away in the future.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food and service
Hands down some of the beat food at the classiest joint in St Simons!
Nancy’s was a wonderful dining experience by any measure. The staff was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious.: Thoughtfully prepared with nuanced and interesting flavors that come together beautifully. An added touch of elegance was provided by the pianist.
The menu is seasonal. So if there is something you especially like, it maybe gone if you wait too long to return. The are some items always in the lunch menu. The flourless Quiche is one of my favorites.
