Nan Thai Fine Dining

For the price, I would had expected perfectly cooked, moist shrimp, but I got overcooked, though shrimp.
Food was fair to partly cloudy.
The restaurant was hot and humid.
The bowing and the praying hands is a bit much.
Very happy with our first visit to Nan Thai. Great food, great service, nice ambiance.
overpriced, upsale me on today's special, which is twice the price of what I originally tried to order. I should have asked but the server should have mentioned the price too. Lobster was overcooked and not fresh. Overall, overpriced thai food.
Overall, my husband and I were disappointed in our experience at Nan Saturday evening for dinner. First, they sat us at arguably the worst table for 2 in the restaurant, right by the entrance. I understand if there are no other tables available, but there were, and we made our reservations well in advance. I requested we be moved, and they readily did so which was nice (and appropriate). Our entrees were delivered barely tepid in temperature, and there really is no excuse for this at a restaurant of this quality. They did take them back and remake them, and when they returned the new entrees, they were hot and did taste good. The manager offered to pick up the cost of our deserts, which was nice. However, when our bill arrived, the cost of the one desert we decided to split was still on the bill so they had to recalculate and bring us a second bill. So all in all, what was supposed to be a nice, romantic dinner out was fraught with missteps which was very unexpected at a fine dining restaurant. Also, other than our entrees, the appetizers and cake were very bland.
Perfect for my wife’s Birthday.
Nan Thai is a wonderful space to see and be seen in Midtown Atlanta. Other than that, the food is average and the quality of the ingredients used in the kitchen is subpar. All the sauces were very heavy and thick, completely overwhelmed all else in the dish. Go for a date night and drinks but not a repeat performer for Thai cuisine.
The red snapper is always a banger. I love this place
Poor/cheap wine selection and are overpriced. Same with after dinner drinks. Don’t even try the desert; just frozen ice with different tea flavors.
Excellent food, service, and facility. This was our first visit but certainly not our last.
This food is the best Thai food in Atlanta...hands down. Everything was delicious. I took my husband for his birthday dinner and he LOVED it...we WILL be back.
Thai food for $50+ per person, but without the fragrant Thai spices, flavors and tastes. Everything is deep fried, southern style. Very disappointing and overpriced.
I was satisfied as always 👌
Amazing! My new favorite in ATL. Food was wonderful and the ambience was top notch. Highly recommended!!
The combination of food, service and interior make Nan one of the top 5 restaurants in Atlanta. Trying to find at least something to criticize, is a waste of time. The wine list is not overpriced and has good solid selections. The bar is first rate. The service is gracious and skilled. Plates are not removed without permission. A look around the room brings your server in an instant. Crumbs are scraped when plates are taken. Servers engage but only as far as they are invited. They are knowledgeable, will make recommendations if asked and handle idiosyncratic requests without batting an eye. The courses are timed perfectly and are artfully plated. The whole fish came curled with the tail fin in the middle with the body wrapped around it. Thai short ribs were in a perfect curry and braised to perfection.
Imagine, green tea for dessert, steeping in a china pot. When the pot is placed on the table, a brass 3 minute egg timer is inverted and you are advised to let the tea steep until the sand runs through. Necessary? Of course not. But is it a unique touch? You bet.
And for once, seat bank seating is comfortable.
Extremely polite and friendly service.
The food, service and ambiance was perfect
One of the best places and food I have ever had. Highly recommended! Thank you for such a nice dinner and my birthday present gift.
Great service and food
Superior service and food! Our favorite place for date night!
One of the best restaurants in Atlanta! Level of service and food unsurpassed.
Beautiful meal, friendly service., great prices. Totally recommend.
Service impeccable. Best Thai food ever!
We went to Nan Thai right before a comedy show at the Woodruff Performing Arts Center. Kenia, our waitress, was superb- very cheerful, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and she got us out right on time! We started off with the Nan's Tasting Tree of appetizers which was phenomenal- although a lot, even for two. My wife enjoyed the Kai Siam and I had a seafood special that was out of this world. A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere- overall an excellent experience!
We had the most delicious quality food and truly the most excellent service! We were very impressed as it seems they operate very well as a team and make sure you never run off of or are without anything. We will definitely be back!
My friend’s birthday.
We were impressed by the ambiance, then the friendly and attentive service, and the wonderful food.
They changed the menu and I had many fewer shrimp than had been the norm in the past. My dish was supposed to include avocado, and only one tiny piece was on the plate. Disappointing!
So glad we came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The decor and atmosphere was beautifully decorated with Thai and southeast elements. The lights throughout and the large well lit bar added to the very romantic ambience as well. The service was great. Thanks Tou. The food was very reflective of great Thai food and was presented wonderfully. Look forward to coming back.
I love Nan Thai Fine Dining! The service, food, and ambience were all great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We celebrated a friend's birthday. We enjoyed the experience
It had been over 20 years since I was last Nan Thai; however, the experience was just as pleasant as it was back then. It is not often that a restaurant can sustain such a high level of quality of food, service, and ambiance over so many years. Nan did and made for a most enjoyable evening.
Second visit a year later and once again fabulous ! The service was impeccable, meal spectacular, and environment lovely. We will return on our next stay in this section of Atlanta
This isn’t anymore a fine dining place. Fine dining for me is to enjoy, savour food and drinks and not to be rushed out! We, two people, got served starters and drinks the same time and three minutes later the entrees were served with together with the question how the entree taste! We felt to be kicked out after 35 minutes and a bill of $195 excl tipp. It’s a pricey fast eating spot! If you’re eating such as a high speed machine and don’t care about fine dining details yoy’re right here!
Always the best Thai food in Atlanta with 5 star ambience
Wonderful meal! Great service!
Food was delicious, served by super friendly staff.
Nan Thai is one of our favorite restaurants.
Noise level is a bit high making it a somewhat challenging to have a conversation. Still a great experience
Service was very slow - we waited at least an hour plus for our meal (2 of us) and the excuse was they were dealing with a "large" party. We were seated right away, not a lot of table fill by us. I would think that the kitchen should consider the number of tables that were not being served in a timely fashion would be problematic. We only had 2 dishes that needed to be served and communication was minimal. Also, the hostess desk did not register my visit so I got a nasty gram from Open Table that I was a no show. Not appreciated!!
Very good food, service is exquisite. Love the place.
Wonderful service and delicious food!
