Nan Thai Fine Dining Ratings and Reviews
The only issue we have is it is not 100% authentic Thai - they use dairy - my wife is highly allergic to dairy and had a reaction to one of the appetizer and they had to make an adjustment in one of the other appetizers to make it dairy free - we were just shock that they had dairy products in the restaurant. So, it limited the menu for my wife and for the price it was pretty normal Thai food - I did have one of the Specials for the night (seafood) it was incredible. Service was great - atmosphere was great - music was low and peaceful.
A very fine restaurant with a truly upscale interior. You're immediately impressed with the exquisite service. We had a special of pad thai noodles stir-fried with a mélange of seafood: lobster, scallops, and giant prawns. Nicely seasoned with a sauce having moderate heat. Quite delicious!
Great food, even better service. The food took a good amount of time to get out because it was Valentine's Day and they were incredibly busy, but it gave me and my girlfriend plenty of time to talk and enjoy each other's company. The valet service was very good as well. We will definitely come back for another special occasion.
My wife and I came here looking for a great Thai restaurant. Often disappointed by not finding excellent Thai food, we both were ecstatic over our experience here and would heartily recommend Nan's to anyone. The soups are excellent, as is their Kung Pad Thai. My wife substituted chicken in hers and it was outstanding. Their Mango Marguerite is excellent too. Enjoy.
I visited many times. Food is always excellent. Visited on 2/10/18 with my daughter and her mentor. My high school daughter was celebrating getting into some top colleges and we were celebrating my daughter's mentor for her upcoming PhD accomplishment. All three of us ordered the special (lobster, shrimp, scallops, calamari combo in Thai curry with rice). I kid you not, when we both lifted up the display of the lobster, there was literally A TEASPOON of rice. Mind you the dish cost $49 per person. We could not believe it as I had a similar dish before on another occasion where I had ample rice. I spoke to the attendant and he brought 2 more rice (mini) square bowls that I swear had maybe two spoons in each. Very disappinted as we felt we were eating seafood alone in some Thai curry sauce. My bill was almost $300 including tip. We had the combination platter of appetisers, the mango cocktail drink and the cocucut cake; everything was delicious. Though absolutely delicious, i just felted cheated on the main course and so did the others in my party. I would give 5 stars for everything but not this time, hence the low star for value.
It was the wife’s birthday and she loves Thai food. From first impression to last she was blown away. She must have described in detail to 5-10 people already how fresh and light the food was. How the fried items weren’t greasy and how attentive he staff was.
We’ll be back!
Beautiful decor, excellent service, quiet relaxed atmosphere. Nothing wrong with the food. Presentation was very nice but the appetizers seemed plain in their presentation, composition and taste.
I was disappointed that the Dover Sole was in pieces and fried. The fish on my plate could have been flounder or Talipia in taste and consistency. The Dover Sole presentation was clever and I give the sausage, spicy rice high marks.
We love Thai food. Someone from Nan should visit Northlake Thai in Tucker. Of all the Thai restaauants we have dined, Northlake Thai is the best.
Wonderful restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant with several hundred candles lit around the room is very warm and inviting but at the same time bright enough to see your food and your menu unlike others that almost provide no light at your table. The food was fantastic. I had the calamari and the crispy red snapper. The presentation of the red snapper was amazing even though for me it’s not all about presentation. Food quality and taste are the things most important to me.The snapper was fantastic but unfortunately they did not list that on the menu and when I ordered it because I read about it on the Internet the cost came back at $44 a plate. That’s a bit high but for how good it was I thought it was worth the price. The waiters are very attentive sometimes overly attentive when four or five people continually ask you how was your meal. So there’s always a fine balance between too much attention and not enough attention. I would rather have too much so on that note I’ll give them credit for trying to keep you pleased. I will go back next visit to Atlanta.
