Nan Thai Fine Dining Ratings and Reviews
Nan's Tasting Tree was the appetizer and was perfect sampler for our party. I had the Kung Yang Panang and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the Pla Yang Kai Sub. I cannot find one critic about this place. The food, decor and atmosphere along with the attentive service have made this one of our favorite Atlanta restaurants.
This was my second time at Nan. For the second time I was not disappointed! It’s becming one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. The service has been great, and the servers are very knowledgeable/helpful. We arrived on time for the reservation and had to wait in the lounge. However, it was only about 5-7 minutes. The plates are well presented, and everything I’ve had so far has been A1. I would definitely recommend Nan for a special occasion, business dinner, or family outing.
I have been to Nan's TFD many times over the past 25+ years. This was the best food experience I have ever had at ANY Thai restaurant, including those in San Francisco, NYC, DC, and Las Vegas. The flavors were heavenly. The attention to detail is evident from the ingredients and unique and wonderful flavors.
My 3rd time here; and it is now my top favorite place to eat! I love the quality of the restaurant (looks amazing) the food quality is EXCEPTIONAL, every single time and the staff (very kind and professional). I will continue to come for all my special occasions because I never leave dissatisfied. Love it!
Great food. Service could be a little better - had to ask for the waiter several times. Menu has changed some and gotten more expensive too but food is same and great. Best Thai food in the city for sure but not sure the higher prices are that much better than other lower priced Thai places.
Beautiful decor but with warm friendly atmoshere. The staff are very professional and pay
attention to details ,such as folding the napkin if you leaves the table. Also helpful
with the menu. I would recomend the appertiser asortment, because this is where
the chef really shines. A Great experience!
Fantastic date night before Cirque. Appetizer tower is the way to go! Great variety with different sauces, paired perfectly. Sea Bass was great, cooked to perfection. Wine pairing was a great suggestion, Savigon Blanc, by our superior server (don't know her name and lost the receipt). She was outstanding. A must go in Atlanta, high end Thai, well worth it!
For the prices, the food was lackluster. I was hoping to see Thai food elevated beyond the typical takeout options, but that unfortunately did not happen with the entrees. Don't get me wrong - the food is delicious. But there's nothing to justify charging $10 more per dish.
Excellent service, as expected at any fine dining establishment. Portions were not very plentiful, also as expected. The whole red snapper was incredibly fresh and delicious. The way it was served, makes it a bit challenging to eat, even for an expert such as my self. My husband had the beef Kra Pow. It didn’t look appealing at all and was kind of bland tasting. Instead of the fried egg we are accustomed to, it had an egg crepe, that didn’t contribute to the flavor. My friend had the seafood skewers and said they were nothing special. The coconut shrimp soup had too much lime in it.
I am a huge Thai aficionado. I was very much looking forward to having a highly rated OpenTable Thai restaurant experience in Atlanta while on business. I ordered the Larb Kai for an appetizer and the Kai Yang Massaman for my entrée. The Larb Kai was tasty, well presented in a half bowl of lettuce with a wedge of cabbage and assorted carrots and attractive vegetables. However, my entree came to the table lukewarm and the chicken was partially raw. The waitress was quite apologetic and sent the dish back to the kitchen. It returned with overcooked chicken (burned). While the manager comp'ed me for my dinner (which they should've since I didn't eat it), this was as big a disappointment as I've had in a restaurant in the last 10 years.
We ordered regular coffee and had 1 refill . Our sever never told us that they would charge $6.00 per cup I argued and they reduced our bill by $12 The food is excellent but the portions were very small for the money. desert was $11.00 and it was not worth it; .the main course was served too quickly following our drinks and appetiser so overall we were not pleased .We won't be back
Nan's remains the most elegant restaurant in Atlanta. Exquisite and authentic Thai cuisine, beautiful and tasteful decor, outstanding service staff and warm welcome by owners and Maitre D's. Lunch or dinner is always superb. It is always perfect for private dinner parties in the lovely windowed room adjoining the dining room.
