Used to dine here frequently when I was working back in the early 90’s. Absolutely great food same as before!
I had one of the sushi dinners. Every morsel was fresh and delicious! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I totally recommend this restaurant!
Good authentic Japanese food with high end options like Wagyu beef. Servers are dressed in Japanese outfits. Ours was sweet but was new to English. It was a bit too noisy for us & yet we were in what they called a "quiet booth". The booths give you a bit more privacy. I hate to think how noisy it might have been if we'd been in the regular open area. It was Wednesday night 7pm & the place was packed! Also they gave our daughter a free birthday green tea ice cream with a candle. Very nice. I only wish they do Aburi sushi options like Miku. They've been in Toronto for decades. Excellent service. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Excellent food and attentive service.
My favourite sushi restaurant in Toronto - and has been so for 25 years.
Birthday dinner for my son. We love this place. It is always excellent. Thank you!
The waitress really rushed us on ordering our food. We would have one question about something on the menu and she would ask us to order our dinner when we weren’t ready. The food was ok - not as good as Miku. Probably would not go back again, but happy I tried.
This was our second time there for dinner . We used to Yamato for normally dinner on weekends .
Its a little bit pricey, but taste was good as last time.
My husband likes the chicken teriyaki so much , strong recommend it!
Never fails on me as I am frequent diner there - excellent authentic Japanese food!
Good food. Tasted amazing and had great atmosphere with authentic Japanese vibes.
Food quality is OK but very pricy. You can find better places with same quality of food and half the price paid there.
We order Sukiyaki, salmon sashimi and tuna tataki. They are very delicious. I really love tuna tatali, serving a lot as an appetizer. The price was a little bit expensive and not often, why not.
Fabulous service. Incredibly fresh; all seafood comes in straight from Japan. Great service.
Good food, but everything was served so fast. We just need 1 hour for our menue. We felt a bit hurried....
Service was excellent and efficient. Sashimi and rolls were perfect!
Nami was fine. I expected it to be EPIC given the reviews, but it wasn't. It does have a different kind of layout and feels more like an Izakaya. The food was good quality, but not near the level of SKIPPA or MIKU. Service was kind and efficient. Likely won't be back given the price tag for dinner. Happy to spend the dough, just prefer that at this price point that it's a little more refined.
Great traditional sushi will go again. Everything was very fresh and tasty
I went for summerlicious and for my first time at the restaurants I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was great but no AC! That was the only downside. Aside from the I had a wonderful time!!!
Air conditioner didn’t work and it was really hot. The choice was not much so I would rather go for all you can eat for sushi.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. However air conditioning wasn't working. In the 30 degree heat outside. A couple fans in the restaurant tried to get the air moving. Servers tried to keep us comfortable refilling our ice water. Many customers turned and walked away. We braved the heat. Tough to enjoy, but we did. Nonetheless on the pricey side.
My experience wasn't as good as expected. Standard good sushi. Not satisfied overall
Service was very good. The sukiyaki (hot pot) was OK but a little too sweet. The day that we had come in, the chef was not available so a lot of the recommended items were not available. Overall very good environment.
Authentic Japanese cuisine at its finest.
The food quality/taste is on par or below the average sushi shops in downtown but with a higher price point. Although the owner and crew are Japanese, the variety of foods is limited. I would rather go some AYCE sushi with lower cost. Just my 2 cents
Excellent food, some of the best sushi in TO
We had dinner Friday night- everything was perfect: the waiters in kimonos, service, food and sake. Great very japanese experience- almost like beeing in Japan👍🏼
Excellent service and a place for fine Japanese food
Very good authentic Japanese shushi restaurant.
in my opinion, this is the best sushi in toronto, choice, freshness, unique presentation... never fails to deliver on their promise...
Great food great atmosphere nice people I go back in a minute. Highly recommended best quality sushi and I’ll Would highly recommend it to someone who can afford it. You asked for too many words way too many
As always perfectly executed food, reasonable prices and excellent staff.
The waitress gave us free drinks for our anniversary and servif was great always smiling and polite etc
Very good service, staff was friendly and quick. Food was amazing
Food was excellent. Great sushi & hot pot.
Nami is exceptional and anyone I've taken has been impressed with the experience. Martin
Good not great.
Premium sushi order was pretty pricey for number of pieces
Greatest miso soup! But we were not given tea, which is de rigeur in a high end Japanese restaurant. My grilled teriyaki squid tasted only of the burned sugar in the carbonized marinade. Not so appealing. My wife enjoyed her grilled salmon however. So, a mixed review then.
