Nami Nori is a casual, Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls, in the West Village. The menu features signature hand rolls, including crunchy varieties, as well as classic versions, and a special vegan section. Japanese-inspired snacks and desserts are also on offer. Beer, sake and wine are available both on tap and by the bottle.

    There’s nothing better than sitting at the Temaki Counter and having the chef personally hand you each piece! This chef interactive reservation will be at the Temaki counter, which is a high top format. Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

    Grab a seat in our indoor dining room and enjoy a server driven experience! This reservation will be seated at a traditional table inside. Reservations at tables will receive their Temaki in complete sets. To guarantee the most crisp nori, each piece will be wrapped in a plant based wrapper that you’ll remove when you’re ready to enjoy! Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

    Nami Nori continues to be our go-to for fun and elevated casual hand rolls. We were celebrating impromptu a promotion at work on this occasion and the team was so kind as to recognize the achievement with complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. We sat at the temaki counter, and the chef was friendly and accommodating, adjusting the wasabi level ever so slightly (downward) as we went along our progression of the signature set. Overall a great experience, as always.

    We had the best experience! The food was excellent and the setting is lovely. I have celiac and have to eat gluten free. The entire facility is GF. The sushi is so, so good. Everyone in our party agreed (and I was the only one who required GF). They also accompanied my brother's partner, who has to eat dairy-free. They bring it out one roll at a time so that you pace your meal well, and really get to enjoy each selection. Highly recommend!

    1st time - loved the idea of the open roll sushi. Wanted to love it, but the bar seating was very tight & the woman next to me kept flipping her hair on me. You have to order in 5 piece increments, not sure why because they serve them 1 at a time. I wasn’t going to eat 5 pieces, they are a very nice size. I could have managed 3, but needed to split with my husband so ended up with 2 pieces. I have a food allergy & our server was extremely helpful. He had a list that showed what I could have without modifications. He also told me that our food would come from the kitchen to ensure there would be no cross contamination. He was delightful. The food runner brought our food on plates, however neglected to explain that the plastic on the nori is un-edible. Despite it saying it is plant based. My husband & I discussed & he proceeded to try to take a bite. Kinda hysterical from my point of view, he was less amused. The sushi was good, I just missed the perfect piece of fish that you get with regular sushi (not chopped).

    My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with lunch at Nami Nori and it was wonderful. The service was excellent, great recommendations from our server. We sat at the counter and it was very cool to watch the chefs prep food and serve everyone. I have a gluten allergy so it’s a rare treat to be able to choose from so many options! The food was incredible, we will be back again!

    Always fantastic!! Best handrolls in town in a great friendly atmosphere, and it can be reasonable or expensive depending onon what you feel like

    AnnaLee was phenomenal!! She really gave us great service, she was so helpful and helped us create a memorable first visit to Nami Nori with the best recommendations to choose from! We took her advice on the apps and the rolls to choose, specifically the Uni and Caviar roll!

    What a fabulous restaurant. Between service, drinks, ambiance it was a great meal. But the food was the star. Outstanding!
