This was a great surprise. We even took the kids and they loved it (ages 11-16). The food was exquisite, the service was so pleasant. We were on vacation and we would definitely go back and highly recommend. The option of French or Indian food was really nice too. The French wine was wonderful. Thank you for fitting us all in!

Staff was friendly and cares about the food. We had some memorable appetizers. But the main course portions were too small (proteins, rice) and 2 of us left hungry. Ambiance could use a little work.... felt a bit sparse and empty, particularly with tables cleared out for fewer reservations. Note: More specifically re the portion sizes... The $17 prawn appetizer had 6 extremely small shrimp on a large bed of caramelized onions. barely 6 bites. The main course curries had about 5-6 bits of meat in them, of which 2 were perhaps half bites, and the side of rice was small.

Our experience was beyond bad. Extraordinarily expensive Indian food that, at least the night we went, was lower quality that your local $15 Indian food delivery joint. This plane will surely closer down by next year. Don't go.

The food was excellent at this restaurant - we ordered off the Indian menu. The ambience is not so great. They could work on making it a bit cuter on the inside and possibly doing something better with the drapes - the outside light is obnoxious. Clean the windows too. But the food more than made up for that!!!!

This restaurant offers Indian and French cuisine. The menus are superb and it was hard to choose which cuisine. We selected Indian dishes- tikki masala, kurma, Kafta, vindaloo. All were outstanding. The service was just average but we were 1 of only 2 tables eating in this small intimate restaurant. The decor is very plain and simple. The bar is beautiful. The wine list is above average but does not offer a huge amount of variety. Overall it is a special place if you want a fine meal.

Our dinner at Namaste in December was a fiasco. We had reservations, so our group was seated promptly. Our problems began after ordering from a promising menu and waiting 45 minutes for undersized appetizers. We then waited 90 minutes for our entrees. Most of the dishes were tasty but small and overpriced. The elk tenderloins, for example, consisted of 5 small medallions priced at $45.00. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Love their Indian food! Have yet to try the French menu as we are so enamored with the Indian choices. We go out for Indian food often, and Namaste provides higher quality food at the same prices as our regular haunts. More depth to their flavors, more interesting renditions of the classics. Likely as their chef went to culinary school in France! Everything is well considered and nicely presented. Even though this restaurant is located in a strip plaza, it is not low-end take out. Rather it is truly well prepared and well presented Indian (and French) cuisine. I suspect any bad reviews were from people expecting a different version of cheap chinese takeout. For the best experience, try a week night. We've dined on both weekdays and weekends, and like all restaurants, weekends (Friday-Sunday) are more frenetic. So if you need to dine and dash, keep that in mind. However, you will want to enjoy multiple appetizers and share a couple of entrees, in order to really enjoy your culinary adventure at Namaste. Trying new dishes and new flavor combinations is one of the highlights of dining here. Namaste is our best restaurant discovery of 2022, and we keep going back!

After reserving service for a party of 19 well in advance, I felt that the restaurant SHOULD have considered hiring a waiter to handle our party. (The 30% added gratuity might have covered that.) We waited way too long for anything to be brought to the table…40+ minutes for appetizers (which I finally ordered and paid for the group.) I would have (in retrospect) have considered 4 dishes (and breads) to be shared by the whole table. Also, 3 bottles of wine shared by the table were $50 each! The staff (of 2) was very nice and friendly, but frankly, were overwhelmed.

We were surprised to find an Indian restaurant in the small town of Winter Park and decided to give it a try based on the good reviews. We are so glad we went. This is the BEST Indian food we have ever had. Everything was great including the service.

Absolutely great food. They have an Indian food menu and a French food menu. This worked great as my dad is a meat and potatoes guy. He did the French menu. I got the lamb rogan josh and the spice level was perfect. Give this place a try you won't regret it.

Do yourself a favor and visit this incredible restaurant in Winter Park! The food is absolutely amazing. I went with five friends and everything we tasted melted in our mouths. This was the best Indian food I've had in a LONG time. While the restaurant interior is underwhelming, the food and friendliness of the staff make up for it. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious. Quality, taste and presentation made us feel like we were in NYC, not Winter Park! The room is basic but understated and nicely decorated. The samosas and the chicken kababs marinated in mint and spices were outstanding, as was the short ribs. Will definitely return.

The flavors and quality of the Indian food we experienced at Namaste was simply outstanding. (We did not sample the French menu). Service was a little erratic and slow but the excellence of the food made up for it. If you like Indian food - this place must be on your list of places to eat in Winter Park!

Really a great find in WP. While the restaurant space is underwhelming, the food coming out of the kitchen is fantastic. Both the Indian and French food is incredibly well prepared. If you are looking for a great meal in WP, look no further. We''ll be back.

Beyond outstanding food comparable to the best anywhere we have eaten. Standout in such a small town. Two great separate menus, French and Indian, and our party sampled both. French fish and escargot were some of the best tasted. Indian curries were spicy enough and very flavorful. Excellent wine menu. Ambience is lacking in bare room and lots of sterile tables. Only one server led to slow service but very pleasant. Overall outstanding and would definitely come again.

We have lived in the United Kingdom for many years, and have enjoyed many fine meals in many fine Indian restaurants there, as well as, to be honest, many more not so fine but perfectly adequate meals in many more perfectly adequate curry houses. We’ve mainly given up on dining in Indian restaurants in the US, however, because they tend to be so subpar, compared even with the perfectly adequate but unexceptional spots in the UK. Until now, that is: Namaste India is fabulous. This place rates with the best in the UK. Easily the best Indian food we have experienced in the US. Highly recommended.

OK - everyone is used to seeing superlatives, but this place deserves it. It's a strange combination offering separate French and Indian menus. I suppose one could successfully mix these highly disparate foods in one dinner. We didn't and stuck with Indian. All of us found the food (and the recommendations from our server) exceptional. The food is highly spiced - not hot - providing layers of flavors not usually found in American Indian restaurants. Don't be surprised to find whole spices (think cardamom, bay leaves, etc.) in the food. This is not your typical Indian lunch buffet fare. It is incredibly flavorful and well presented. If you are looking for a different experience with a style of food not widely available in this country, you won't go wrong eating here.
