Great 1/2 price sushi on Monday. The wait staff was amazing.
Wonderful anniversary dinner for my husband and I. Perfect all the way around!
Sushi wasn’t fresh or creative.
Always an awesome experience. Manager Crystal is always around serving and checking with her guests. The place feels like home. Will be there again
This location is vastly different from the downtown staple. The interior is laid out nicely and is extremely clean, but the feel is more of an American eatery, versus a Japanese sushi bar. The food was fresh and tasted great, although the prices are relatively expensive if you don’t go on Monday or Thursday. For a large group of people, our service was lackluster at best. The restaurant wasn’t crowded - surprising for 7:15 on Friday. Even with this fact, it seemed to take forever to receive any attention or drink orders. I would try this location on Monday or Thursday but will go downtown for any future occasions.
Love to go again!
I love Nama and I am so happy they opened a location in Cedar Bluff. It is very close to my work! Half price days are the best! Surprisingly it wasn’t too crowded this past Monday!
Sushi is excellent here. Also, have had heavenly Nagiri here. Love the modern, cool Asian decor. I am so thrilled that Nama now has a restaurant located in west Knoxville which is convenient to us.
Not too busy and a good place to eat. Cheap sushi and I strongly recommend the house pinot noir. It was really good.
We enjoyed the happy hour specials, which make the meal much more affordable. The sashimi and sushi rolls were great. There are three locations in the area and while this one is the newest, it doesn’t have any less ambiance or quality.
Love Nama's! Great every time!
This new location has been amazing for me. I work close by and it's an easy place to get to. We got there early, but as the night progressed it go louder. The food was amazing and the server was knowledgeable. All in all we had a great time.
Our food took an extraordinary amount of time - 30-40 minutes, which is unusual. Yet, the manager handled it proactively sharing with us the delay and provide us a dessert for our waiting. I appreciated the transparency into the delay, he handled the delay proactively and did the right thing to ensure I had a wonderful Mother’s Day lunch. Thanks Nama, and way to go to turn a potentially poor experience to a positive one.
Food was great. Server attentive. Perk it was half-off night b/c we didn’t realize it!
Great service and not that crowded on for a Saturday night We really enjoyed our food and beverages. We each ordered a couple of different things so we would have enough. Everything was made fresh. Thanks
The food was excellent and the server was fantastic. We let him know that it was our first time and he suggested some items and they were all delicious! We'll definitely be back.
Great experience, excellent service. Love their half price sushi days. Will definitely go back.
Great food and service for our large group of 10 -- food came out quick and delicious and we didn't have to wait for anything all night.
Food was amazing, from the first bite until the last. The spring rolls in the appetizer platter were the best I have ever tasted. We had the Nama Truffles for dessert. Wow! They were exceptional. Our waiter, Frank, was awesome! He took great care if us and made our anniversary extra special. Can't wait to go back!
Our server didn’t seem to be very interested in us.
Nama in Bearden was great, but this new Nama location seems “commercialized” where it’s too busy so the food is just so-so and the value isn’t there.
I would recommend either downtown or Bearden over this location. We were there at 9:15 pm and there was aggressive cleaning going on all around us to the point that it was irritating. At one point a cleaner stuck his rear end near the face of one of my guests in the course of cleaning a booth seat.
Great addition to west Knoxville restaurant scene. Food was consistent with their other locations. Would definitely come back!
Great food and atmosphere
Thanks to William for a nice evening. His sushi suggestions were spot on and delicious.
Always great food and perfectly executed Sushi. A reliable favorite
Great food for 1/2 price rolls on Mon and Thurs! Such variety on the main menu too.
We had an enjoyable evening & our server was on top of things.
Food was great as always. Didn’t get the best service
Excellent sushi. Highly recommend the crabby eel.
Nama is the best sushi!
Best sushi in the Southeast!!! Get the Thai Stick!
Made a reservation on 1/2 price sushi night so it was very busy but got right in! It was my first time here, and it was fabulous! Will definitely go back!
Nama never disappoints food wise, but the service wasn't the greatest. I made a reservation in advance since it was New Year's Eve and half price sushi night, that wasn't the problem, we got right in and were sat in a booth, which I requested. We waited at least 10 minutes before our server came to our table. During that time a table a 10 was sat after us and their server brought them drinks before ours did. We ordered everything at once, and our appetizer came before we even had our drinks. I am the kind of person that has to take pills with my food, so I couldn't start eating until our drinks came, which was a few minutes later. Our server apologized and then began to tell us all about how a bunch of people asked off and the management let them off, not thinking about it being New Year's Eve. In my mind I am like..."That sounds like a management problem, not a customers problem." Normally I would give Nama a 5 out of 5 stars, but with all that waiting and problem giving, I would rate this specific visit a 3 out of 5. Stop wasting my time with excuses and spend that time getting my drinks LOL
Had a great evening server was super friendly and helpful
This was our first visit to the Cedar Bluff location. The sushi was not anywhere as tasty or well-prepared as the other locations . A little sloppy on the plate and just not the same. The sesame beef dish (my oh-to dish at Nama) was a little off. Light on the beef, heavy on the mushrooms. The meat was rather cold but the rice was extremely hot. I suspect my beer was poured into a warm glass, it was never cold. Overall, especially considering the price, it was quite a disappointment. We’ll drive further next time to either of the other locations.
3 of us there for lunch - 2 of us ordered the crunchy shrimp roll lunch which comes with soup and salad - the sushi came out first and we had to ask about the soup and salad, I guess they’d forgotten it or something so we ended up getting it all at the same time. The crunchy shrimp roll was supposed to have avocado and spicy mayo on it but there was no avocado and if there was any spicy mayo hidden in there I didn’t see it so it was very bland.
1 of us ordered nigiri and of the 4-5 slices of fish he said that one tasted very fishy and he left half of it and 1 slice was tough and inedible (it almost looked like it still had the skin on - it was not appetizing) - the nigiri chef’s choice was $15 and they discounted it $4.50 due to the quality of the fish.
Anyways, the service was okay, not great. I felt like it was a bit overpriced for what you got for lunch. Definitely not the best sushi I’ve had - probably won’t go back.
The food was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Will definitely be going back.
We had a great time ! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Definitely will be coming back !!
