Service slow. Had to go inside to get server's attention several times. Tables around us moved a lit quicker so who knows. Sushi good and fresh but expected larger portions at this price point. Oh well, good to try.
The sushi was fantastic. The table we sat at was near the kitchen and we had to sit next to each other rather than across from each other because of access to the kitchen. It was still a very pleasant experience and the food was definitely great.
We decided to try this place out because we had a hankering for sushi and we were not disappointed! The drinks were delicious and every piece of food we tried was amazing. We would definitely eat here again next time we are in town and we highly recommend it!
Advertised happy hour was 5-7, but they changed the offering to 4-6 and wouldn't honor advertised hours. Prices are pretty high for what you get. Rolls were good, but definitely not great.
Definitely higher-quality sushi. Their happy hour from 4-6pm is a solid deal, which I'll be returning for going forward!
Very good quality and fresh sushi. We tried different types of maki rolls and each of them was super delicious, fresh and so yummy 🤤
The food at Nama was fantastic. The service was great, and the restaurant was not too loud. I highly recommend their sashimi - the food melts in your mouth!
Some good, some OK sushi but pretty high prices for the quality IMO. Service was good.
Food amazing and Jose was hella respectful and attentive.
The server was incredibly rude, they delivered our order to the wrong table and was visibly upset when they had to remake the rolls, despite them offering to do so. Was told to put on a mask mid-sip of my cocktail after I told them to remake the rolls, per the waiters offer.
Great service and as always, sushi is the freshest and absolutely delicious.
Excellent! thank you so much for such a delicious dinner and great service!!
The I got the Chef Nigiri and it was really good fish. The salmon was incredibly creamy. I missed the ambience of a dine-in sushi experience, so I look forward to going back when the pandemic is over. The food still makes it worth it to support this restaurant.
great food and amazing service. The seating area was clean and proper covid precautions were taken
Food was very good, nicely presented, will return.
The hostess was pleasant, the waiter was good, the outdoor seating was very nice. The food was ok. There is only so much that a restaurant can do during the pandemic to make things better, but the sushi was only ok.
Fantastic experience! Wonderful service and the food was delicious. Great value at happy hour
Turned off by love benefits charge
The sushi portions were very small considering the cost. I had the rainbow roll and there was more Maryland crab than any of the fish on top of the roll. The Maryland crab also overpowered the roll to the point that I only tasted the crab. My sushi came out separately (which is usually not an issue, kitchen looked busy) but I got my miso in between sushi orders.
Quality is poor for a sushi restaurant....with limited choice of rolls because most of them have similar ingredients/ composition. No wine list and extremely limited sake list. Completely overpriced.
The happy hour deal is great, but I wouldn’t pay full price for the food. It was just okay. I like that they have some creative vegan rolls though!
We had a very nice time here. It’s a very small, quaint restaurant with good level of music and low lighting. The food was wonderful and tasted very fresh! The service was also very good.
Food was great. Music was an odd mix for a sushi place - kind of an international mix between salsa, Italian, and old jazz. It was a little expensive - $5 for a soda and $20 for a roll seemed a bit much.
Over priced and food not that great. I am thinking it’s a spite sushi bar. Spend your money elsewhere.
The food was excellent and the service was good. We had a price fixe Valentine's Day menu, which offered a nice omikase selection. The space is small and low key. The music was slightly too loud, but Nama is definitely worth a try.
Music was a little too loud but everything else was great. Definitely will be back again.
This place is great. The sushi is delish but the other dishes are even better.
Some of the best sushi in DC. I can’t believe I haven’t gone here sooner. Although a bit pricy, absolutely worth it for a special occasion (and happy hour is a good bet, too)
Cute small sushi resturant with loud music
Fantastic happy hour and a great experience overall! Everything we ate tasted fresh and delicious: the bluefin tuna tartare was particularly yummy. Server was friendly, attentive, and really elevated our experience by making the perfect sake recommendation. We’ll be back for sure!
Shrimp tempura with avocado was amazing, i should’ve got two orders !
Chef Young makes dining at Nama a special experience every time. The food is incredible, not expensive and the service is top notch. I come here at least twice a week. Thank you for an amazing meal.
Impeccable sushi, gorgeous space, happy friendly service. Chef Oh is a savant.
