We had a well-served, tasty meal. We liked the atmosphere. I was put off by absolutely everything, apparently even including bread, being a la carte.
Food was terrible.
I took my husband out for Valentines Day all the way to Ft Laiserdale. We arrived on time to be seated in a small table next to another couple. I refused to sit there but then the waitress managed to seat us outside. The food was ok the service was ok. Overall I won’t go back to that restaurant.
The service was excellent but the food did not sit well.
Great service, not so great food. I would recommend only if nowhere else is available.
Restaurant really needs an update. Very old and tacky decor. Staff was trying hard but lack training or experience, food was good not great. For people who are staying at the hotel and don’t want to go out is good, but for a dinning experience is not worth it. Tons of other great restaurants in town way better to chose from.
We rated at the hotel and had breakfast buffet next morning at the Crab. We sat outside as it was beautiful weather. The inside was pretty vacant and quiet if you like that. There is a lot of traffic noise outside but the people watching makes up for it. This is not beachfront but faces very busy A1A. But the service and quality and value of the buffet made up for any shortcomings.
We stayed in the adjoining hotel for a few nights had meant to eat out but, after our first dining experience our waitress was so helpful as my wife has issues with dairy, does not eat pork and allergy to shellfish but, Cece steered us in the right direction. We also had breakfasts and Thanksgiving dinner and have absolutely no complaints at all.
Skirt steak was over cooked, waiter took it back to kitchen, chef had the guts to slice it saying it wasn’t an even piece so it didn’t cook it evenly and saying it was the last piece they had even though we were the very first customers for dinner that evening so our son was basically forced to eat it. Our Chateaubriand was burnt on the outside and tough to chew. Portions of appetizer were ridiculously small. Not worth the money and definitely will not recommend. Pricey for nothing.
Based on the description and online menu, I was expecting a nice restaurant. It was a small hole in the wall in the back of the hotel lobby with no view no outside seating and seemed well past its glory days.
The margarita was undrinkable and the food was fine, but there was a smell - mildew old food, not sure.
Service was fine and the food was okay.
Found this restaurant on yelp with good reviews, however the restaurant is dated the tables were poorly clean. Service was decent but not too attentive. Ordered a couple appetizers the bone marrow was mediocre and the foi gras was the smallest portion ever. The aged ribeye wasn’t properly cooked had to send it back. In a nutshell they need to revamp the restaurant and get new chef and clean up crew
Exciting ambiance and meal.
Way too expensive for the food you get.
Summer special was good however the prices are way expensive. We saw many look at menu and walk out.
The waiter and staff were lovely, but the food was overpriced for what you get.
Food was ok the price expensive. Drinks were ok. Not worth the trip or the price. The show wasn’t a show. The mermaids swimming doing flips and blowing kisses.
The food wasn't worth the money, and the service was kind of terrible. If it wasn't for the manager to help out, I'm not sure we would have had "service" plus, it's not very nice to enjoy a dinner and have people walk up off the street into the place; kind of ruins the experience.
Lower the price on food to normal high-end prices, and hire a server, and you may have a decent chance of keeping the place in business more than another year. Otherwise, I really do not see this restaurant lasting very long.
I just remembered the deceptive way you listed the parking price. As part of our hotel stay.
The way you had it, I thought parking was 20, and that made it so I didn't just Uber. This was an in-city stay. We live around here. But parking was deceptive.
Breakfast was deceptive too (from the hotel stay), I saw free breakfast when I booked, but no sign of it when I got there.
Food was not what I expected. I thought there would be a lot more crab options due to the name of the restaurant. The menu options were very limited and when we asked the waiter what was good or what he recommended, he said everything, which didn't help. I ended up with a very small lobster tail without any crackers tp get the meat out. It came with a lobster bisque soup with pasta inside the soup. That was the only thing that really filled me up. I would recommend reviewing the menu before going. They Wreck bar inside the hotel has some other food options and the mermaid show.
Nice place, very friendly people. Somewhat standard hotel feel but we enjoyed our dinner and drinks very much
The restaurant has gone steadily downhill ever since it opened. The seafood tower was still ok, (not much value for money though) but the ambiance and decor is abysmal. So much so that we left to go to another restaurant to finish our evening. Our waiter tried his best but wasn't getting any help from the bar which took far too long to deliver drinks to the table and our waiter had to go ask for them again after we complained. The restaurant even got rid of the whole King Crab which was a redeeming feature of going here. Won't be back.
It was nice restaurant but honestly everything we craved for was seasonal nor not available. Don’t get me wrong the food was good and ambiance was nice but it was for a birthday and just didn’t feel anything special for me to want to come back and visit. The risotto was good but some of the rice was hard or over cooked and just didn’t taste super fresh however the seafood tower was delicious and fresh.
The staff was clueless about the menu. The waiter did not come back to the table after taking the order so the manager had to fill in the gaps. Service was slow. The drinks were good, but the food was not impressive. My husbabd’s steak was cold. My crab risotto was good and so were the fried oysters. We should have skipped this dinner and just gone straight to The Wreck Bar.
The only good thing about that evening was our waiter. The food was tasteless and made us sick after. The restaurant was used as a cut through by people going to hotel , making us feel like we’re sitting in a hallway . Never again !!
The hosted acted like it was a problem for her to seat us at 8:15pm even though we had reservations for 8pm and it was NOT very busy or crowded. She walked really far ahead and nodded her head in the direction of the table, with no menus. The server bought menus then told us she'd give us a few minutes, which turned into 20 minutes. The food was just okay, my sea bass was supposed to be grilled, but instead it was fried. The food was not worth the amount of money charged for it. Every time we asked for something, for exam a drink menu, it took 20 minutes to get. Overall, the experience was bad. We will NOT be going back to the Naked Crab.
Valentines Day. Arrived at the restaurant only to learn that the menu was “special” for valentines. The choices were poor. There were many customers complaining about the switch in menu and poor selections.
We ordered food that took almost 40-45 minutes. While waiting for it we received dessert. Ooooookay.... Pear salad was ok. Veela was stuff and over cooked. Also ordered they lobster rice ate half and asked for a to-go box for the rest only to learn that somehow they threw the left-overs away. Good luck!!!
Poor customer service. Restaurant was at about 30% occupancy and took them about 20min to bring us to out table and another 15min to come and wait us at our table. Food is nothing impressive and very expensive
Came here for a Birthday dinner while in Ft Lauderdale, service was horrible and the food was just Ok. Server took a long time to take our order and never came back to check on our food or ask if we needed more drinks. Some steaks were extremely overdone while others we underdone. Food seemed very expensive for what we got, and our money would have been much better spent at any other restaurant in the area. Menu is full of misprint and the prices on the menu were inconsistent with what we were charged. Restaurant has no atmosphere and has specials written on the wall that they no longer offer. We were very disappointed with the crab offerings at a restaurant called the Naked crab.
We were really excited to try out the Naked Crab, but our experience was unfortunately not pleasant. The place was almost empty when we got there, so we were seated immediately. We ordered the orecchiette dish with seafood (calamari and shrimp). The pasta was undercooked, as was the seafood. The sauce was even cold. Our waitress disappeared for 25 minutes and never refilled our water. For the price and after our reccent experience, we won't be back.
Went for the Christmas Brunch 2018. The food was fresh and delicious! Wonderful service as well!
We had the most memorable and excellent meal prepared by Chef David Morales...from start to finish it was exquisite
The food was amazing! Must order the filet, it comes serve on a salt block. And the Crab Risotto is outstanding.
They had reserved seating but where I was placed was too close to others. I have a food allergy and the smell of citrus affects me. The folks next to be ordered lobster and they squeezed the lemon. I had to run outside.
My 11yr old had to ask them to remove the lemon because it affects my breathing.
I didn't have my EpiPen so it couldve been worse.
When someone requests to be moved it shouldn't be a problem especially if theres a good reason.
Besides not having good seating. They were no glassware at our table and my son pointed that out.
I didn't care for the food and neither did my son but the dessert was the best.
Group of 7 had a great time. Our server not used to the dinner hour, and we ended up with stuff we didn’t order, and some confusion. I never eat seafood unless I can see salt water, no problem here, it’s just out back or across the street.
Overall good. Not a lot of choice
Food was good
Service poor on the night we were there - order was wrong and main course arrived too soon whilst we were eating our appetizers-hate that!
We visited this restaurant as a part of the Crave Greater Ft. Lauderdale prefix menu deal. At first we were skeptical because menu was unfamiliar. So we asked our waitress a ton of questions about many of the dishes on the menu. Only one of the 4 of us selected from the pre-fixed menu. Everything we selected that CiCi (our waitress) suggested was precise and on point! Omg the food was delicious and offered us other available dishes we wouldn't have given a try. Thank you Cici.
This was the worst meal I've had in recent memory. The Lobster in the Caesar Salad was like rubber. The NY Strip was tough at medium rare and the service was nearly nonexistent. I suppose when the service is automatically added to the check, the waitress feels as if she really doesn't have to put forth much effort. Do yourself a favor and book a table elsewhere.
Food and service was great.
Halibut was beautifully presented and excellent taste. Great location for the beach
