Nakato 'Hibachi' Japanese Restaurant
Very average food, they charge $5 or $6 to get fried rice (what a joke) restaurant is dirty. Descent service.
Loved the food and the place especially the photo booth 🥰😍
It was my son’s 13th birthday and we had an amazing time! The Chef was very good and funny. We didn’t have to wait at all to be seated. Reservations was for 7:30 we arrived at 7:15 and was seated at the private area where you remove your shoes. He genuinely had a great time with his brother and sister.
I have been going to Nakato for years but tonight I was disappointed. The hostess was rude and not accommodating. The food, the chef, and our waiter were phenomenal. Just wish the hostess didnt taint the experience.
Good food, very salty so be prepared. Also, every table has a birthday or some kind of celebration so if you know this ahead of time, you’re good! Not for quiet conversation, lots of kids!
We always love going to Nakato. Great expereince anytime we go.
Service was great and food was good. We had a good time and I will definitely be back soon.
This is always our "go to" when in Atlanta. Drove down from Dahlonega, just to go here.
Food and corresponding show are always great! We like to bring our out-of-town guests to Nakato and we also celebrate special occasions here.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a semblance of a decent dining experience. The price point was far higher than the quality of the food, entertainment, service and/or venue. There was so much noise that my dinner guest and I had to lean in to hear each other throughout the entire event. Not to mention, we were grouped in a large room with at least 10 other dinner parties (some of these parties exceeding 5 guests per party). There was not an option for a more intimate/private experience. May have been easier had the prices not been set as though the dinner experience was smaller. Also, I recommend grabbing takeout. The experience will be the same and the food quality will be about the same IF NOT better. Sorry Nakato, it was awful.
We celebrated my twins 21st birthday which is New Years Eve. Food was great and atmosphere—even when the room filled up with LOTS of little children!!
We shared my mother 54th birthday dinner and we love everything about this place. It’s amazing, you get more than enough of food here, and the people are so nice and accommodating! They place my mom cake in the lounge area after dinner for us to enjoy while we sat , they dance and sang for her and lit their own candles because I forgot ours! I love this place And we Will revisit soon.
Heads up make reservations because this place fill up quick.
Great time for my family of 7.
It was a wonderful dinner for Christmas.
Cool place for a meal and entertainment. Fast service and good food
Solid Japanese steakhouse experience! Service really good and our chef was adorable
They did not throw the food to us for an attempt to catch it in our mouths.
Good food, great dumplings. Service little slow , then rushed. Needs balance. Appetizers came out late and then grill started rolling out food too soon. Overall enjoyable due to good food.
Annual Christmas dinner with mom, sister & nieces
There were A LOT of birthdays—and associated drumming and singing—on the Monday night we went, so definitely be down for some celebratory noisemaking if you plan to dine here. (It was totally fine for our crowd.) We brought our friends two young boys and they LOVED it, ate some of everything, and behaved swimmingly with help of some pre-hibachi-show coloring handouts from the staff. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and that addictively good, and aptly named, yum-yum sauce.
I Love this Place. My Favorite Restaurant to eat any day of the week.
Was a great time
We prefer the dining room to the hibachi table which has a louder vibe aside from the different menu choices. The food quality has always been good but I believe that they have kicked it up several notches over the past year or so. Chef change? Shared the yellowtail collar which I had not sampled befoer. Wonderful appetizer!!
It was great. The food was great so was the service. Someone else forgot to pay for there food tho lol
It was my daughters bday. We had a lovely time!
The chefs level of entertainment varies so and can make a huge difference to the experience. The chef for the table directly next to us was great, ours did not say a word.
The was also a bug that the table next to us (directly next to me) the customer had to chase down to kill. Not a great sight when our plates were being filled with food.
We went for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. It was our first time there. We will definitely be going again!
The staff is noticeably friendly and attentive. Really fun and unique atmosphere where there are dates and families celebrating birthdays at the same grill. The celebrations were the first I’ve seen, so it was fun to see everyone celebrating birthdays. Good food, fast and friendly service, and a quality time for anyone.
I went to Nakato for my son's birthday this past weekend. Nakato's staff was efficient and very courtesy. The food can be a little better but given the service and ambiance, I would definitely recommend Nakato.
We come every year for my and my wife’s birthdays (September & November) and times in between as well... When we want hibachi, there’s only one place we go... and the kids love it too!!!
A great place to dine in at and enjoy the food. I have been plenty of times and will continue to go.
We had a wonderful meal celebrating our twin's 25th birthday. The food was delicious and the hibachi chef was entertaining. We never got our white rice and brown rice and our unsweet tea kept being refilled with sweet tea, but otherwise it was a good experience overall.
Great for my daughters birthday celebration. Fun! Food was good.
It was a great experience the food was great and the chefs were so nice and everything was pretty good
Best Hibachi in Atlanta and you get a lot of food for your money. Perfect for a birthday gathering!
Nakato is a great celebration place for kids (birthdays, etc). The chefs are always entertaining and the service is great.
The amount of butter and oil used on the hibachi grill is disconcerting, so if you’re looking for healthier options,
Stick with non-hibachi choices.
Food is wonderful! Such a great staff, very friendly and fun. The hibachi chefs are fun and engaging! I have been a few times with my husband, we just recently took my son 3 for the first time, and he had such a great time! Used chopsticks for the first time and had a good time watching the fun while they were cooking and doing the "show".
Great deal for twilight dinner.
What a disappointment this restaurant was. The area we were seated the counter top/table was not clean. The community soy sauce holder had a glop of something on it. It did get cleaned after asking staff to amend the problem. The food was not good. The soup had 1 piece of mushroom floating in it and a tiny slice of green onion, disappointing to say the least. I ordered shrimp and lobster $48.00 the lobster sat on the heat for so long it became rubbery and dry and the shrimp texture made it completely inedible. Just horrible. The texture was that of precooked and frozen shrimp... never had worse. The restaurant itself was not clean... I won't be back.
