At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. The majority of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from ‘farm to fork’ by our Head Chef Andy Millard and his enthusiastic kitchen team. Our menu is varied and seasonal, appealing to all tastes and includes Chef Specials, favourite traditional “pub classics” and Sunday roasts. We cater for different palettes and today’s changing tastes including children, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. As our dishes are prepared and cooked in house, we can usually accommodate most dietary needs.We pride ourselves on serving locally produced real ales. Our ales come from the excellent local microbreweries and are of a very high quality. We offer a range of good quality wines and spirits to compliment our menu.

One of the nicest Sunday dinners out we’ve had in a long time! Service was great, the waitresses and waiters were all lovely. Sunday lunch was fast, hot and plenty of it. Will definitely be going back to try the lunch or dinner menu. Outside looked great too, plenty of seating and shelter.

Excellent food in a beautiful river-side location with outdoor covered seating as well as the indoor pub. Service was inconsistent with some personnel quite friendly and helpful and others indifferent to bordering on rude which really lets the overall team there down. Some staff training of younger personnel on proper behavior when dealing with customers would be in order as the food really is quite good there and the setting really pleasant for a meal. Parking can be a bit tight on a Saturday afternoon when the place is full.

Few minutes late (cycling) - no problem, lovely staff nice table, good varied menu, good food, not too expensive. Nice beer too.

yet again , very good , all choices excellent , starter small plates all really good , Chicken burger amazing , special raspberry mousse lovely .... Many thanks again ! back next week !

Impromptu meal following school art show. Booked last minute. Lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff attentive and service and food was excellent. Totally recommend.

near weekly dinner @ Nags Head , Great choice of specials , went for meat balls , Brisket , and Pavlova , all perfect , good beers , wine and service , and a pint by the river to start ,cant fault !
