NaCl was one of the reasons we went to Hodges Bay. The vacation was great, NaCl was ok. Service was outstanding as it was everywhere in the resort. The view was great. The food was disappointing after reading reviews about the “top restaurant in the Caribbean.”
Positives - The butternut squash ravioli was tiny but was the best plate of food the entire vacation and rivals any modern Italian restaurant in Ontario. Duck spring rolls were a very tasty appetizer. We tried 2 desserts and both were very good.
Neutral- The ceviche wasn’t really ceviche, there was no acidity to give it flavor so it ended up just being closer to sashimi than ceviche.
Negative - The lowlight was definitely the swordfish, the most expensive plate of food the entire week and the worst plate of food the entire week...it was so overcooked it had the texture of a VERY well done pork chop not a piece of fish and other than the olives on top it really wasn’t seasoned.
Amazing meal. Not sure I have had a better meal in the Caribbean..
