   Overall. .. the food was good.. I ordered the catfish dinner with Mac and cheese and greens .. the mac and cheese was very good ..the greens was very bland ... like they came out of a can .. no taste to them .. the catfish was very good ...but for the price ..u should get 3 pieces instead of 2

   They were closed! There was a line of people that had reservations. No apology or anything. I traveled from Dayton. This will NEVER happen again. At least indicate closure in the app, telephone messages or the door!

   This was the second reservation in a row that I booked on Open Table where the restaurant was closed. The first was on my birthday and Open Table was taking and confirming reservations for a restaurant on a Tuesday evening. The family showed up at the restaurant only to find that the place is never open on Tuesday. For Mother's Day we booked and confirmed a reservation for Mz Jade's Soul Food restaurant. We drove 50 minutes with a 6 day old baby in the car only to find that this restaurant was permanently closed. Way to ruin Mother's Day Open Table! I understand that mistakes can occur but my recent experience with Open Table has been totally unacceptable. They need to be better than this!

   Follow up email is what is Open Table’s process to verify vendors. A group of us are really wanting to know since this was almost a traumatic event because of people coming from various places. But since I don’t have an answer from Open Table perhaps the right place to share this is the survey. On May 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM, Cecelia Benford wrote: This restaurant couldn't be really rated. I am writing about OpenTable who needs to do a better job monitoring businesses. The place was closed. The signs were still there. There was another family waiting to eat there. Open Table even sent us a reminder the day before Mother’s Day about our reservation. This was a bit of a drive and time sensitive for one of the 6 in our group. It caused us to call around to get a reservation ultimately at a Mexican Restaurant which turned out all right. I later looked for their website and it said permanently closed. I called and got a voicemail but you couldn't leave a message. Very disappointed both with Open Table system as well as the restaurant.

   Food and service was great. Music was to loud to have conversation with the person next to you. But overall it was very nice and will return.

   Very chaotic when we arrived, made reservations, they couldn’t figure out where to seat us. We ordered a shrimp and a lobster boil, the egg was missing and the corn was terrible. The shrimp was delicious and potatoes. My daughter loved her lobster.

   Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our GPS initially took us to the wrong spot, so we almost left. I'm so glad we circled the block and stumbled upon it! Mz. Jade does the cooking, which was super-flavorful. She came out to take our orders as well. Really cute decor. Most of the family got the fried chicken chunks, which they loved with the soul sauce and the BEST Mac and cheese. I got the hibachi with chicken, which was also super-flavorful. Servings were very generous. We will definitely be back!

    Great service and great food! Ran out of a few options but it was a Friday night! Drinks were amazing!
