   Limited menu and they had no chicken so even less choice. Sullen waitress. Felt second rate to a wedding they had in. Wouldn’t go again.

   Service was very good, however, the food was not on a par with previous visits. The menu choice was not particularly stimulating, and my father commented that his steak was rather tough and dry. Unfortunately, our small party of three was seated right beside a large party, who were rather raucous- no criticism of them, but a quieter spot would have been appreciated.

   Cheap bread, thick double cooked with hard rind bacon on the club sandwich. Massive thick lumps of ham and burnt chips on the ham and chips. Ignored for long periods by staff. In fairness, main courses were deducted from the bill after we complained but by that time our lunch date had been completely ruined.

   Excellent food, starters were just the right size, Mains were on the large size but well cooked and well presented Service was great and quite sppedy as well Prices were reasonable Fully recommend

   The location was ideal just beside the River Severn. Opposite a National Trust site Attingham Park. The dining area was spacious and had a nice feeling. The food was very good, however I would prefer my food served on plates, for example the starter was served on a slate tile, the rest of the servings were on plates? The Chips although very good were served in a metal miniature pail just put them onto the plate please. The STEAK was Excellent and cooked to Perfection. The other moan I have is the menus were photocopied papers rather than in folders. However I would definitely book again as the quality of Service and Food was very good and at a reasonable price. I would also reccommend it to others.

   Visited in the week at lunch time. Very good service, varied menu with a nice atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

   Great service Staff very helpful withy husbands allergies as he is celiac.they adapted and prepared all food in a separate area, this means su h alot to us. The staff very knowledgeable.

   I understand that the premises are due for a refurb which is a positive. We arrived at where we assumed the meet and greet was - to be ignored initially. Service wasn’t great to be honest. No friendly banter. Menu was just about ok for choice and value - but childrens menu really needs more thought! We were seated at around 5pm in relative quiet - by 5:30 pm there were a lot more diners but the bar area was filling rapidly and soon folk spilled outside. Noise levels became a problem in my view. A trip to the toilet became impossible as drinkers didn’t want to move aside. It was easier to make the return trip via another outside route. Would I return? Perhaps after the refurb. Location ideal after visiting Attingham Park.

   We had Sunday lunch and couldn't resist the 3 roast option! The service was friendly and efficient. There was a wedding in the next room - the folding doors were closed to give privacy to all. There was obviously therefore some noise but we still enjoyed our lunch. Our server, Kirstie, was very helpful and kind, especially to our four year old granddaughter, who also had a good choice of options. We always enjoy going to the Mytton and Mermaid and this time was no exception.

    Really lovely lunch, with excellent, friendly service. Such a charming, characterful place to enjoy a meal with friends. Shame it has been sold to a chain and closing for 12 months. It's individuality, character and position on the river are what makes it so special. Wishing all staff well for the future.
