The food was excellent! No sauce needed. Ordered the three meat - brisket, ribs, pulled pork - platter with greens and max&cheese - excellent. Jessica was the server and she was excellent as well. She was familiar with the menu and provided great recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!
Dry rub wings are superb, Ribs delicious & tender no bbq sauce need. Corn bread good bbq deviled eggs delicious
We’ve heard amazing things about this spot. Definitely not disappointed! From the time we got there until we left, we felt like family. The owner was more than gracious, checking in from time to time as well did the server. Everything we ate was excellent, the deviled eggs as a starter and the 2meat/3meat platter with fixins galore. The praline dessert was a must to finish up such a great meal. Hope to come back when Myron is actually there as well as to enjoy more great food.
Loved everything except the bbq sauce, it was to watery. We went there for restaurant week, it was so much food we had to take home left overs. Please be aware if you are going for restaurant week make your reservations for 5 pm and beyond. The dry rub wings are flavorful, even without the dipping sauce. I tried the pork rinds and was surprised at how much I liked the topping. We asked for them with the toppings on the side, the rest of my table enjoyed them plain. I would definitely go back, the food portions are worth the price. All of the meat was well seasoned and tender.
Good brisket but pricey than I prefer. I will likely go again but not as often as I would if the prices were a little less.
The manager would not honor restaurant week night as we were there on 16 January and he said it didn’t start at that restaurant until 17 January. However I told him but you are included in the restaurant week festivities that start January 13 so that would be my biggest complaint about this restaurant
A co-worker recommended my boyfriend and I try Myron's for the Hog Roast, and oh boy, did this not disappoint! I couldn't decide if I liked the hog or the chili more!
We had a great experience at Myron Mixons over the weekend.
The service was great and the food was delicious! My in laws were in town and my wife and them went out this past Saturday.
We had the pull pork sandwiches, fries, mac and cheese and coleslaws.
Everything was delicious and the owner was very friendly and was making his rounds making sure all was well several times to all patrons tables throughout our evening.
If you love BBQ then Myron Mixons is a great spot and thankful we have it right within walking distance of where we live in Old Town!

We had out of town company who had heard of MMPB and they wanted to eat there. The problem is that there were no healthy options for the food. Even the house salad is loaded with cheese, and the salad with chicken was limited to the sauced pulled chicken bbq. I ordered the smoked half chicken and I was told that I could not substitute the 2 side 'fixins' valued at $10 for the $7 arugula salad (which does not comprise cheese). I ordered the collards, which is laced with bacon, etc. All of the "fixins" are loaded with fat and calories. I understand that this is a bbq restaurant but there is no excuse for literally no healthy meal options or sides.
I had never heard of MMPB before my company arrived. I would not recommend this restaurant and, unless I have company again who insist on eating there, I will not eat there again.
Great BBQ. A lot of variety on the menu. Always love going there! The wait staff was very good and attentive.
Being from TN I was expecting good BBQ...this was NOT it.

As a native Texan, we were excited to try this out. The sausages and sides were pretty good, but unfortunately, the brisket was subpar. You should never be able to hold the entire slice of brisket on your fork without it falling apart.
We love the pulled pork bbq, the ribs, the cornbread, the Brunswick stew, the peach baked beans, and more. And the pie of the day is always delicious. The only downside is the service is usually very slow and they don't come back to give drink refills.
I enjoyed my food, as did three of my four companions. The fourth diner liked the food, but didn't think it was remarkable. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Best BBQ brisket east of Texas (and better than most in Texas). Sides are delicious too, especially the mac & cheese. Wide selection of beers/ales/cider on tap.
Service was average, at best. Took 15 minutes to get water/drink order. Waiter inserted himself in our conversation without invitation. Table by window was drafty. Food was good!
Food was good but a few items VERY heavily seasoned with salt; I tried to bare the potato salad which I would’ve liked but the salt content was TOO much. This was also the case for the ribs- some pieces were salty. Whoever the cook was is not ready to free-hand season the food... continue to measure it out. The sauces need a little thickening. Brisket and pulled pork was the fav!
We own a barbecue business and were in town for the Marine Corps Marathon. We decided to eat at Myron's to celebrate finishing another marathon and our anniversary. It's a great place.

We were there to celebrate a birthday and had been wanting to try the bbq for awhile. Service was very good. Our meal was good but wish that there had been more selections for the bbq sauces.
This was the most disappointing meal we have had here. First let me say that my husband and I love eating here, and usually we have a terrific meal. However, this time the rack of ribs was dry--the meat was dry and a bit tough, not the usual tender, falling off the bone ribs. We love the collard greens, but even they were not as flavorful as past visits--plus, the serving seemed smaller than usual. The deviled eggs were good, and the daily special appetizer of beef egg rolls were good. Overall, we love the experience at Mixon's--the ambiance is great, people seem to enjoy working there, and the other diners all seem to be enjoying themselves. We'll be back, but if dried out ribs becomes the norm, we won't be back very often.
The food was totally different from what it was the week before. Baked beans were a bit stale. Possibly leftover from lunch our. I would suggest going there during lunch hours. The food is fresher during that time frame. Beef brisket was nice and tender. Pulled chicken that family member ordered tasted also not freshly made.

The food was mediocre at best.I ordered the Family meal and the ribs were pretty good but everything else really fell below my expectations.For sides we had Mac n Cheese, Baked Beans, and Fries. I really think this is some one just using the name and not the recipies of Myrone Mixon.
I’m from Georgia where Myron is from. I took my girlfriend to try some great BBQ and fixings. We had the chicken wings as am appetizer. They were excellent and the sauce was very yummy. I had the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork and pork belly. Had Brunswick stew and macaroni and cheese as my sides. My girlfriend ordered the ribs with coleslaw and collards. I only got the pork belly and brisket initially. The waitress did take the pulled pork off my check and actually gave me some to take home. The meats were awesome. But my sides were not good. The Brunswick stew was so thick I could eat it with a fork. It wasn’t traditional Brunswick stew from the South. The Mac and cheese was a little dry for my tastes.
My girlfriend got the winner. The ribs and her sides were excellent. What I would expect from Myron.
They need to give out finger wipes for when you finish eating.

The flavor of the brisket was ok but the sauces add to it made for a good experience. The ribs were well seasoned but to tough for my husband to eat them. Loved the Mac and cheese, greens and coleslaw. Not on the top of the list to return as it is not the best barbecue we have had but may go back sometime if only for the sauces.
Good barBQ...but not great.
Ribs are dry rubbed, just the way I like them, but had very little flavor without a sauce on it.
Ribs were tender, but lacked the flavor of being cooked on a Weber Kettle or Green Egg.
The food was amazing for a great price. The drinks were banging! And the customer service was top notch.
The food was good; ribs better than chicken. The ribs were tender and juicy, with a good spice blend. The chicken skin seemed to have a residue of burned fat, as affected by direct flame, which made some of the skin not edible. Having said that, the chicken was tender and juicy.

As always, Myron Mixon's Pitmaster Barbeque was a fantastic BBQ experience; one made even better by the fact that the Winningest Man in BBQ himself, Mr. Myron Mixon was there in person to meet patrons. The whole hog was excellent, as was the pulled pork sandwich.
This was our 4th visit to Myron’s. It never fails to be delicious and the service is fantastic (which really sets this place apart). We got to converse with Myron and pick his brain on some recipes as well which we considered to be quite the honor. My dad was also able to meet his BBQ hero. Thanks Myron and Jose for hosting these events-the food is amazing and it’s so much more than just a meal-it’s an experience.
A quick dinner with my niece. Very good food prepared pretty quickly.
Pitmaster is always good. I wish they would have some healthier choices for the sides, like a side salad or a green vegetable. My husband and I like to get the rack of ribs and split it with sides. Plenty of food for 2 people.
