Food was excellent
it was right before the BAN
so we were the only ones there
I hope it survives so we can go back again
What a great surprise it was to have home-made Greek food and friendly service in a cool environment so far from home. Stuffed tomatoes and lamb-chops where better than my mother's and we will be back for them. Sorry mom.
We were the for a retirement lunch, just 3 of us, the waiter was terrific he gave us a free appetizer sample and dessert, the Bronzini fish was a bit small but delicious.
Grilled octopus was delicious, but sparsely presented, just on a plate with lemon.
Meet dish was really just a few pieces of meat plus a bowl of sauce (which we swapped out for more pita, because of a stated lactose-sensitivity), no included grain with it. Pasta was over cooked. The shrimp was good in it. We told the server we didn’t eat cheese (like 2 times when ordering) he brought us panna cotta on the house, could have brought something more appropriate for us.
No salt and pepper on The table.
The pita and hummus were delicious.
They sat us a few seats from the kitchen and they were getting supplies so it was Like sitting next to the storage room.
Felt like it should have been a more upscale experience for a $100 meal for 2.
Food was fantastic and very authentic! Strongly recommended. Staff very friendly.
Very good food Very good service. Portions small for big prices.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Would recommend highly.
Great food, staff, and atmosphere! Do yourself a favor and eat here!
It was my girlfriend’s birthday but she didn’t receive at least a small slice of cake. We waited 40 minutes for our table and we were promised a nice table but it was terrible. It smelled smoked and it was terribly cold. Other tables got heathers but our table didn’t.
I would highly recommend Mykonos Bleu excellent food, drinks, and service - we LOVE it!
your advertising online was totally misleading! You mislead me to believe that I was dining on a rooftop . The rooftop was a smelly bar, not a dining room! it smelled like chlorine from a swimming pool!
You ruined my husband's birthday dinner plans! shame on you for your misleading advertising. I will let all my friends know about this. SHAME ON YOU!!
The staff was very friendly. The food was incredible. We would definitely come back. The manager pulled up a chair and sat for a min to make sure everything was going well. A really nice gentleman. We loved this place. The atmosphere was perfect.
I was surprised by the caring service to accommodate my group of 7 with a tasting menu that took all the guess work and hassle out of accommodating a large group while supplying something for every taste. Everyone was happy and agreed the food was delicious!
Everything about the meal was great. The dishes flowed well from apps to the main courses to the deserts. All of the cocktails I tried went well with the food as well. They were strong enough to give you kick, but I never tasted the alcohol. Great Greek food!!
What a GEM!
Authentic, delicious Greek food with a staff that is utterly charming!
We started the meal with tomato orzo soup with a little crumbled feta, then grilled octopus (my favorite), a crisp and simple salad with the lightest olive oil/lemon/herb dressing, sautéed spinach and divine whole grilled branzino. Oh, and I'd hate to forget to mention the lamb sausage which my boyfriend really enjoyed! And the simplest of things make the meal-- like the house-made pita and hummus.
The pace of the meal was slow and steady- so we could enjoy the food, wine and each other. Just like Europe.
And THEN-- the most delicious dessert I have had in a very long time. Bougatsa. Where have you been all my life!?! Filo layered custard pie with powdered sugar... layers and layers and layers stacked so high with yummy custard. Plus I think I heard correctly that the executive chef won awards in Greece for this dessert!
Cannot wait to come back- especially when the rooftop is open in the Spring.
Fish was excellent as was the soup and traditional Greek appetizers. They were light and filling. Beware of the desert : it is huge and too delicious to ignore. All in all a very good dining experience - to be repeated soon.
The description is a little misleading as the restaurant is ground floor - so no views or rooftop. The bar is separate. The ambiance is just ok - seems like the hotel restaurant that it is. The wine choices were "red" or "white". The white was ok, but forgettable. The Octopus appetizer came without the capers and some of the other dressing items and the steak was ok, but overcooked. They did deliver an awesome complementary dessert, which was the best part of the meal. It wasn't terrible overall, but I feel there's no compelling reason for me to return.
Top quality food and amazing service. Nice comfortable atmosphere to boot
Great night it with friends! Delicious food and great service. Try the mousaka!
Great authentic Greek food and staff. Pleasant atmosphere within walking distance from Penn Station. Really enjoyed the soup.
What a nice surprise to discover a new restaurant which served and prepared beautifully in a refreshingly quiet atmosphere. Thanks for that desert unreal!
Weekend in New York City with my wife. We have been to a number of Greek Restaurants in the City and we found Mykonos Blue outstanding. We had a wonderful dinner and we recommend especially the octopus, dolmades and the mixed grill. We appreciated very much the excellent service by AnnaMaria and most importantly the fact the we not rushed through the dinner like in so many restaurants.
Servers were great, and as we had the mezzo/tasting dinner, liked that they gave the Greek name and explained a bit about each of the dishes. Food was really good, from variety of appetizers all a bit different from the run-of-the-mill, to the grilled meats. Greek dessert to die for! All in a nice ambience and quiet enough that we could actually carry on a conversation.
We tried the chef’s tasting menu and it was excellent! The traditional “trachana” soup had a modern twist while keeping that earthy feeling that reminds you of a real Greek village. Great home made bread served with delicious eggplant salad and crispy saganaki. We also tried the moussaka that was one of the best I’ve had in manhattan as well as special house Millefeuille. Friendly service and we will definitely go again. I took a friend from Greece who was very impressed :)
Staff and service was great. Anna was a delight as a waitress. Soups were awesome. What a meld of flavors. The dessert pastry with light honey and orange was delectable.
What a beautiful place. Loved the atmosphere.
It really hits just the right balance of refined yet relaxed. Our server, Annamaria (sp?) was so wonderful and made the entire experience so enjoyable and fun.
The food is delicious. There is something for everyone on the menu. Came with a group of friends who each have different dietary restrictions/preferences and there was plenty of variety for all of us to enjoy food we loved (including a vegetarian, and a person who DOESNT LIKE CHEESE)
The presentation of everything (from cocktails to spreads to entrees) was elegant without feeling stuffy.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we were there for dinner, and he was so warm and exuberant.
It is clear that the people running this establishment take pride in their work and value their customers in a very personal and meaningful way.
Will certainly be back, and can’t recommend this place enough.
Mykonos Bleu feels like a quick trip to Greece.
I went on Thursday evening with a girlfriend and the owner came to introduce himself and welcomed us in the most pleasant way.
They have a new chef and the food is amazing!
We started with Tzatziki, keftedes & (gluten-free) pita served with lamb sausages (I don’t usually like lamb but this tasted delicious).
All of this served with lemon potatoes & Greek salad.
Can’t wait to go back for another quick trip to Mykonos ...
Food was authentic Greek cuisine and we will be directing our friends and business to return to Mykonos at 127 W 28th
A memorable and delicious evening at Mykonos Bleu. I heard that MYkonos Bleu had brought it a legendary chef from Greece and this is true. I have eaten at his restaurant in Greece 2 summers ago and his magic is now in NYC. From soup to dessert, everything was fantastic and beautiful. The Saganaki is out of this world.
If you are a lover of Greek Food, I highly recommend this restaurant. The service and food was excellent. It was a great way to spend my birthday. My favorites were their Avgolemono soup, chicken, and their traditional spreads served with pita bread. Great ambiance, delicious food!
We started with the Winter Soup, a satisfyingly hardy first course, warm and comforting. The flavors were complex, leaving me with the satisfaction of unusually intriguing taste. The chef is obviously skilled and creative without trying too hard to be “innovative”. The Saganaki was the perfect blend of cheeses, balanced and savory, and fried precisely right, keeping the dish delicate. The main course of kabobs was excellent, especially the chicken, which captured the essence of the grilled taste while remaining mouth-wateringly tender within. The lamb kabob was tasty, and combined with the tzatziki sauce, pita bread and tomato completed a delectable ensemble. For dessert, the Mille-feuille was spectacular. It was so light and full without being heavy, we found it impossible not to finish the rather large portion. All in all an outstanding meal, full of surprises and satisfactions, peaked by spectacular highlights like the soup, Saganaki and Mille-feuille, built on a solidly high-level foundation. We highly recommend Mykonos Blue to any and all seeking a refreshingly authentic approach to Greek cuisine.
Good thing I love my husband! He was the best part of this dinner. Food was burnt. They were out of several items and the server forgot some of our order. What a disappointing part of an otherwise wonderful night. With so many wonderful Greek restaurants in the city, we won’t be back here again.
We had a group of 8 people. The Host was very accommodating. He arranged a tasting menu for us. We all had our favorites and added some new ones. We were very happy with our meals and experience!
Service was wonderful!
Did not expect to have the worst Greek food of my life in NYC. Calamari—tough, probably frozen. 3 of the smallest meatballs I have ever seen were served a Kefthese. The pita was good, spreads average. Drinks tasteless.
FRIDAY NIGHT, 3 OR 4 MAINS NOT AVAILABLE. VERY SMALL PLATES, HAVE TO ORDER MORE. VERY COLD. HEAT NOT WORKING. NOT HAPPY
The food was terrible, cold, bad quality. I think it was an off day for the restaurant because they had a lot of parties BUT they should still be able to accommodate for their other patrons! And they could not. The food also came out late or not at all. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and took one entree off the bill but that wasn’t enough.
rooftop is not available and there is no view. menu is very limited and not as presented in the picture. grilled octopus was cut up in little peaces.
We all had a great time.Food was delicious. We shared a Greek salad. Each had their own entree, all different and all very good. Had a bottle of wine which was excellent.
Totally wrong place ,
Food was ok but poor , service is bad
