Outstanding in every way! We remembered Mutu's from our last trip to Durango 4 years ago and went again last week. Worth making a special trip! Our items were tomato bisque, beef carpaccio, and shrimp scampi, cheesecake and tiramisu--all wonderful.
Mutus is a great place for a nice but affordable date night. It’s definitely in our rotation of nice restaurants!
They offered poor customer service, food is over priced and the restrooms were subpar.
Nice sized portion and great presentation if eggplant parmesan. Pork special was yummy.
Arrived before the reserved time on a busy Saturday night but had no problem being seated immediately thanks to the hostess Miranda who made an extra effort to find an open table. Ryan the server was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and very cordial. Overall, food and drink was delicious and service was great.
Wonderful food and service. Kara was a fantastic waitress and all the others were attentive
The food was delicious. Strict COVID Regulations in place. Perfect date night!
Great place to eat! Fantastic service and food!
We were looking for a good Italian dine in experience. MUTUS was ok but not remarkable. The chicken part was good, the chicken good and the sauce acceptable. We have had better and with salad and breads. Wine choice good. Would go back
Friendly staff, well-prepared food, romantic atmosphere
The food is delicious and there are some tasty cocktails. The staff are very professional and the service is exceptional. It is open and airy both inside and out. It could use some more vegetation/planters/evergreens, lighting on the exterior, and some craft cocktail glassware to add to it's ambience, but it is well spaced out and we had a great evening.
We looked all over town and the reviews looked great so we took a chance, and boy that was a big mistake. We figured that every other restaurant we went to in Durango was great so it had to be descent, but we were wrong. To start off It was my daughters 13th birthday I mentioned it At the time of reservation, to the hostess and to the waitress and no one offered my daughter a happy birthday or a desert.
The restaurant was loud and we were seated at a table so that we had to stare at a blank wall for dinner. Our waitress acted as if we were a bother and ignored us most of the time we were there. The food came out cold and we weren’t offered fresh grated cheese until the meal was over.
Let me just say that the food, Atmosphere and service were the worse I have experienced in 42 years of dining out. I have worked in restaurants as a server & cool so I know what to expect and what’s not acceptable. I would have made mention of our horrible experience but the manager was harder to find then on server. Save your time and money and try anywhere else! We had better service at the coffee shops in town!
Beautiful patio, on a perfect evening. Huge menu has something for everyone. Champagne sauce on salmon was a bit heavier than I prefer. And timing of dishes served was a bit rushed. Anti pasta appetizer was generous. Ambiance perfect. Would definitely recommend.
The only improvement would be the apple crisp, it had no apples and very little cinnamon.
Great food. Staff friendly. Now I’m a regular!!
First, in all fairness, we are in the middle of a pandemic. We came from Placitas, NM and always enjoyed Mutu's, especially happy hour. We requested an outdoor table, observing that way too many people in Durango are not following health protocol. We were told that happy hour specials are not available outside. OK. So were ordered entrees. Sausage ravioli and eggplant Parmesan were just OK. Not up to their normal standards. But we will give them another try. These times are hard for everyone.
Really good food consistently.
We try to eat here a few times every time we are in town.
overrated and disappointing............................................................................................................
We had a lovely meal we just, unfortunately, had to sit upstairs and the ambience was not up to par! Felt “lonely” up there!
I had the tenderloin special and my husband had the salmon. Both were fantastic! Our server, Dallas, was great and a lot of fun. Good wine list too!
Great experience! Beautiful facility! Very good food! Excellent service!
Outstanding, personable waiter. Great ambiance and plenty of social distancing. With that said - the food was just okay. We had three appetizers and three entrees and probably would not order any of them again except for the Marinara sauce - really was terrific!
Fabulous experience, friendly, attentive service by Zack and he made one of the best martinis I've every had. Food was the best and so reasonably priced. Which you were here in Payson, AZ
Loved the food! Hostess was a bit stand off-ish. But, overall great service. Very fast. Server was great. Forgot her name.
We ended up dining here twice for dinner and once for the very best apple dessert we ever have enjoyed! Our server, Sierra, is outstanding...the food beautifully prepared and the patio ambiance delightful. they have a varied wine list and cocktails. The very best apple dessert we ever tasted!
The only problem we had is the Mahi Mahi was probably frozen and the pistachio encrustations was wet. It tasted good , but had a poor texture. The Brussels Sprouts were excellent. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would definitely return.
Pretty sure this is a Denny’s in disguise. Birthday dinner ended up being just a bottle of champagne in a dish bucket 🤣 long wait times as well .
Wonderful wonderful food! Extremely nice waitresss!!!
Had a wonderful experience at Mutus. Patio reservation was waiting for us and service was excellent. The bruschetta was wonderful as were our entrees. The best meal during our 4-day Durango stay.
The waiter was amazing and the food just the best. One of my favorite restaurants in town!
Relaxing atmosphere. Good was excellent Service was very good. Would highly recommed
Great menu selections and patio dining. Food quality and portions very good. Service, overall was good, but bussing of tables between cocktails, apps and main courses needs attention, based on our experience.
The food was great! We had a beautiful evening out on the patio, and our server was very attentive and did a great job.
This used to be one of my favorite places in Durango for Italian food. However the quality has really gone downhill. I had the sausage lasagne. The sauce it was presented in was like soup consistency and all I tasted was cheese no sausage. The crab stuffed mushrooms were not great and I swear I didn’t taste any crab in them at all. My husband had a seafood stew and he only ate about half of it. He said it was “tasteless” at best. I understand that they are operating at 50% capacity BUT they are really cutting costs where there food is concerned. I hope it improves over time. We would perhaps return if that happens.
Fancy Italian restaurant with a well made and thought out menu and very good food.
We were seated Outside immediately upon arrival. Our server brought water right away and took our drink order. The menu is varied and has something to please everyone. I had salmon which was cooked to absolute perfection. Everyone in my party was completely happy with their meals.
The food was ok, very creamy and heavy.
Our server was excellent, the problem was there was one server that walked about all night with his mask on his chin.
It’s a state mandate to wear a mask in public and the mask regulation was in place for restaurants first.
We felt it was poor management not to enforce this and a bad look for the establishment.
Seated at reservation time, but no one ever came over to table to even say they would get to us. We left after 10 minutes sitting there watching waiters walk by.
The night before, we got there and they had just closed the kitchen. My wife liked the atmosphere, so we came back and tried again. Service was excellent, food was top notch (wish they would have made a Carbonara sauce), and ambience again, was really nice. Enjoyed it to say the least.
