Mutiny Pirate Bar & Island Grille Elkridge
Mutiny is a place where you can cut lose, be yourself, and forget about all the stuff that makes life so tedious. Our staff is genuinely friendly, and every member of the crew comes in each day with the mission of making our guests happy. It’s our goal to be the greatest place to be, whether you’re here to work or play.
In short we want to be the “X” on YOUR treasure map!
Need to book at 8:30 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Yes, with reservations. Probably my seventh visit to the Elkridge location. The first five were uneventful. Good service, food and a fun place with a upscale bar food menu. However, a few weeks ago during Restaurant Week, at least five menu items were not available. This was a Friday evening at 5:45. Out of cream of crab, out of two of the desserts etc. Saturday, we arrived for a 7:45 reservation and were seated promptly. Server arrived 10 minutes later and took our drink order which arrived 20 minutes after the order. So 30 minutes to get a drink. Ironically, they were out of the first drink I ordered. The server disappeared to the point that I had to get up and hunt her down to take our food orders. I like the place and the food but they seemed to be understaffed for a weekend. I’m hoping the last two visits were an anomaly.
Band was there that night so when they were on it was obviously louder. We had great service between our wait staff and the manager. Their normally great food was a bit off with my fish being overdone. But the manager took care of everything without me even complaining. Impressed.
As usual the service was outstanding, drinks were spot on and the atmosphere was outstanding. We arrived at 7:00 and was looking forward to try the oyster appetizer, which was on their advertised menu, when I ordered it I was told that they were sold out. How could that be when the advertised event start time was 7:00 pm. Other than that everything else was wonderful.
Good time as always! Rum is awesome and our server, Brady was great! Mussels were phenomenal! Great atmosphere and entertainment.
the food was amazing!!! the choice of rums was outrageous!! My husband and I had so much fun!
We had been planning to visit Mutiny for a long time, since we really enjoy Iron Bridge Wines. Mutiny is a very different experience, and enjoyable in its own way. A beet salad had more greens than we'd anticipated, but was delicious - the fried cheese curds were very plentiful. Hamburger was cooked perfectly to order; was disappointed that my first choice was unavailable because they'd run out of pulled pork, but the burger was a fine second choice. My husband's salmon with gnocchi was good - he said that the combination of the two was a bit odd, but both were prepared very well. Desserts were delicious - he had the funnel cake special and I had the key lime tart. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. There is something for everyone here.
Awesome dining experience for Valentines.
Great food and service. Recommend to all. Happy hour buck a shuck makes me happy.
Nice casual vibe. Good food. Try the tuna tacos. Also the lime coconut mussels.
Food was amazing, until we were served stale cake for dessert. Service was very poor; we were served small cups of water at seating but upon asking for refills, it took more than 20 minutes at least. Within that time our (delicious but spicy!) appetizers came and were finished, and we were even served the entres without any drinks. Add to that the fact that our requests in the open table app were ignored, leading to us to wondering if we were even going to be able to stay as the young staff became snarky with us (I’m 24 around their age, and they were rude to older members of my family!), it was hard to enjoy the night. Thankfully the manager is amazing and kind, I cannot emphasize that enough, but it’s sad that bad staff can ruin an evening. This manager deserves better because this can bring down a restaurant! I think I’ll give it one more try because I love the restaurant & food. Hopefully it goes better.
This was our 1st visit. We were very pleased with our whole experience!
Our server looked the part, which was an added bonus when at a place called "Mutiny Pirate". He was very nice and attentive, making sure everything was 'right'.Everything tasted great and was very filling.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience for a Saturday Lunch. My friend and I had no trouble hearing each other converse. That may be different at a different time of day, but it was perfect for us to meet up just to hang out and chat while eating yummy food.
We went for HC Restaurant Week and to try something new. Server was Great!! Answered all of our questions. Drinks from the bar were good. Would come back for more. Food was so..so. Muscles were delicious. Macaroni cheese balls - dry and lacked flavor. Gumbo while a hearty portion had no gumbo filet flavoring and it was definitely missed if its how you are used to eating Gumbo. I had the bread pudding for dessert and it was decent compared to homemade bread pudding from other nearby restaurants. My friend had the key lime pie to go and said the following day it was good.
Prices are good. We went during Restaurant Week, they was even better. Good drinks and good size portions, especially the appetizers. Good tasting bar type food from a nice size selection. Our server Miranda was excellent. Looks like there are great happy hour and weekday specials. Would go back even after Restaurant Week.
The service in this restaurant was pretty terrible. It took a long time for me to get seated and we were barely checked on to see if we needed anything else while we were waiting for food, or drinks, etc. Won't be back.
We tried this during Restaurant Week and the food was good. Service was excellent and with the 3 course meal special, it saved us $ and allowed us to try some place new. The food was served hot but it wasn’t anything “special” so even with restaurant week savings; it won’t be a place that I would return to. Not bad just not something I got excited about.
One of my favorite places to go. Great Food, Amazing rum selection and craft cocktails, great service and a fun atmosphere make this a most-visit place.
We have enjoyed our times at Mutiny and felt that the Restaurant Week offerings were very nice and a good value. We do like music and entertainment, but found the steel drum volume too much to continue a conversation.
We love the rum selection, the atmosphere, and the pirate themed pub food. The beer bread is our "go to" appetizer and the cream of crab soup is excellent.
We went for restaurant week and had the 3 course special. It was a great value and way too much food! My daughter loved the pirate theme and said she'd definitely bring her friends back to check the place out.
Service was on the slow side and sides on two orders were wrong but overall dinner was good. Definitely prefer when waiters write down orders than attempt to memorize.
It was my friend’s birthday and we got the dessert trio which was very disappointing - the lava cake in it was served cold. We were expecting it to be a a little more impressive for something called the devil’s tower.
Great food and service. Loved the local craft beer selection! Rum selection is ridiculous, good ridiculous!
I was personally surprised by the quality of the food and the menu choices. The atmosphere is kind of glitchy but kind of fun. Service could’ve been a little bit quicker but overall I’ll go back again
We went to Mutiny Pirate Bar & Island Grille with some friends to watch the Ravens take on the Titans. Unfortunately, the game did not go our way, but the food and drinks surely did. We had a collection of appetizers (wings, calamari, nachos, fried mac n cheese balls, etc.) and great some great beer (Allagash White on tap!) and some special half-time shots. The staff service was really good and there were ample TVs to watch the game from any seat.
Been there 3 times total and ALL 3 times were fantastic! There was nothing that wasn't delicious and the portions are huge! The staff was friendly and efficient and the decor is great! I haven't found anything to complain about and will return soon!
Great night, great food, great service.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Will not be returning. One of the 4 meals (fish & chips) arrived 10 minutes after the other 3 meals came with no explanation or apology. Fish were just long sticks (not pieces of fish which would be expected at this type of restaurant) that were mushy and barely warm and the fries were also barely warm. We assume it was ready with the other meals but were forgotten. The server never checked on it when she saw that it had not been served nor asked about our meals, just walked by our table a few times when the meal still had not arrived. We never had the opportunity to ask why the delay or let her know the problem with the food.
Have been there three times now and have never been disappointed. Service and food were great. Like that I can make reservations on a Friday night and not have to wait to be seated,
The gumbo and blacked shrimp were good but very spicy. It's a bar setting so the noise level is high.
We love dining at the Mutiny! It's always fun and inviting will continue to go with family and friends!
Great location to Troy Park. We had spent the day there for a soccer tournament and were starving. The location was great & the ambience too for the pirate theme. Service was slow and we were really unimpressed by the food. Especially after reading the menu prior to our visit. We had the nachos... not nearly enough chicken on them nor cheese and were very salty! The presentation of our meal was terrible. I had a single crab cake with some French fries thrown on the plate. The crab cake was small especially for $16.99. Stupid me squeezed some lemon juice on it which made a crab cake that was too moist to begin with now soggy. I couldn’t even finish it as it became inedible. My son had a pulled pork sandwich without the pineapple... he said it was “ok”. But then again he’s 15 how much does he really know?! Unimpressed overall & not sure if we’ll be back. It was busy for a Saturday night. No idea if that’s the norm or if was all soccer families.
Awesome place took my mom for the first time and she absolutely loved it . Those rum flights are everything!!
Great taco Tuesday!
We went for Happy Hour and it was Taco Tuesday! What a great offer. Wonderful variety tacos and delicious! Extremely reasonable priced specials. Service was attentive while allowing us all the time we wanted. The food is more interesting and of better quality than typical bar food. We will definitely go back.
The food was very underwhelming and lacked flavor. However, our waitress was engaging and excellent. This place is best suited for cocktails, not family dining.
The food and service was great! A fun place to try rum from all over the world!
First time trying this restaurant. The drinks where good. The food not so much. The jumbo lump cakes ended up being shredded crab and were told it would be broiled. By Maryland standards, they were not jumbo. It was pan-fried instead. The fish and chips didn't have any flavor. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Was not impressed.
It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside. Almost all of the food was well done and presented.
Great service and food was delicious!!
