Mutiny Pirate Bar & Island Grille Elkridge
Mutiny is a place where you can cut lose, be yourself, and forget about all the stuff that makes life so tedious. Our staff is genuinely friendly, and every member of the crew comes in each day with the mission of making our guests happy. It’s our goal to be the greatest place to be, whether you’re here to work or play.
In short we want to be the “X” on YOUR treasure map!
Our server was a great guy, very personable but not too attentive. It took quite some time to get our food and he was very slow for refills, getting the check, etc. Definitely wasn't busy either. We had a very good time though and will definitely come back, and hope for speedier service.
Our food was outstanding!! Seafood gumbo the best I have eaten. steamed shrimp app delicious!
Overall a solid restaurant with good food. I like the theme and the decorations. However don’t expect Caribbean food as advertised. Not a single dish you would find on one of the islands — more standard fair with a slant toward bar food and a name that is themed. Overall would recommend - good food and interesting.
Always a great time there! Pirate themed and has special event weekends with there own themes. Great hang out, great food and fun atmosphere!
I've been a regular since the original location in Point Pleasant, and the Elkridge location is certainly the best Mutiny location in terms of the facility. The staff is friendly but hasn't clicked yet into the smooth-running machine that the old hands at Pasadena are. That said, Nate and the crew took great care of my large party during a busy Friday night. The food, as always, was fantastic, and the bartender also whipped up a one-off boozy hot-chocolate cocktail for one of our group.
The one downside to the new location is the noise; it's pretty cacophonous when the crowd is in. We were still able to hear each other across the table, though.
Good food and good service. A little loud
This is our 4th time here. The food is really awesome, even though I keep getting the steak and shrimp because it’s so good. The steak is always cooked and seasoned perfectly and the shrimp is large and cooked right!! The green beans that accompany the dinner are awesome. We’ve had the fried pickles and wings as appetizers and both delicious! Their sauces are really good. It’s a really fun place, but It can get pretty noisy, i think it has to do with the ceiling height. Definitely will be back, maybe try a different entree next time but it’s going to be hard to pass up the steak and shrimp 😄
The Mutiny was a blast. Took our adult kids for đinner and drinks. Great concept rum bar gastropub. Highly recommended. Great food and service!
Always good service and food. I would like to see better drink specials but that won’t keep us away. We always enjoy this place every time!
This was my first time at Mutiny. I was very impressed with the food and the ambiance. Surely will go again.
We had a great time! Would definitely recommend a friend.
What a gem!
Unfortunately our waiter was terrible. He was friendly but was extremely slow, did not put orders in, had to be reminded multiple times to bring things and would disappear for long periods of time. It was not particularly busy and he had plenty of help. Our table of 8 would have spent a lot more on drinks if he would have checked on us. It was disappointing because I usually sit at the bar and have great service.
We loved our Jamaican jerk pulled-pork sandwiches, typhoon tuna tacos, cream of crab soup, and key-lime pie! Our sauvignon blanc wines were delish as well. We always love the wait-staff. Sophia (I hope I got her name correct) was efficient, friendly, informative, and helpful. She truly appeared to enjoy being there too!
Mutiny in Elkridge is one of my all time favorite bar/restaurants. If you are a Pirate at heart or just love great food or great rum drinks, this is your home away from home!
Great service! Fast seating and amazing food! Super tasty and yummy drinks too!
The hostess was very friendly upon arrival. The ambiance was very fun and exciting. The waitress offered alternative choices for the some of the particular items we wanted that were not a part of the menu. (scallops, steak sauce, wine).
We usually have a large group (5+). They serve us quickly and adjust quickly if we need to have more added to our party. Our new go to for large group dinners.
Staff and food were excellent! And the rum selection is outstanding. It’s not cheap but worth it for a fun evening
We love this place! Great food and great drinks! A nice casual atmosphere where you can bring you kids or leave them at home if you want a date night.
It was nice. A bit loud but service was timely and all were very nice.
Nice place. Very noisy. Too many televisions distract from the pirate decor, but other than that it is well worth it.
Service was awful. We were greeted- I asked for a water and my husband got a beer. The beer came out in 2 minutes and my water took 15 minutes (and I had to ask twice). Food order was wrong. Server ignored us for basically the entire visit. We came here a few times when the restaurant first opened and had 2 wonderful experiences and referred several friends/family, but based on our last 3-4 visits, I doubt we come back. The service gets worse every time.
Great food and atmosphere! Happy hour drinks and specials are great with a large selection!
We've been Mutiny customers since the original location in Point Pleasant. While the Elkridge location lacks a bit of the vibe that made the original a favorite, the quality of the food is still fantastic, and the overall facility is much better. Reservations are a must at prime time on Friday or Saturday for sure. Despite the place being packed when we arrived at 7:30, the noise was manageable even for my daughter who's on the autism spectrum and very sensitive to high-noise environments. The staff was friendly and attentive as always and our food was spot-on how we ordered it.
Went here for lunch to celebrate my parents birthdays. Staff was really nice and decorated our table with balloons. Food was enjoyable. Really enjoyed the crab soup. Kids chicken tenders seemed homemade and were a huge hit. Burgers were yummy. Staff was really nice too. Great casual lunch experience.
Good food, good cocktails and good prices! Mutiny has quickly become a local favorite. Use open table though so you are not waiting on a table. It gets crowded on Friday and Saturday night.
Went for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My oyster BLT was very good!
Servers need to learn the menu, especially what "gluten free", "can bee modified" Anna what that means. Our server was very nice and attentive, but should have had a bit of training in this.
The steak was very nice! A pleasant surprise. Pubs are not always know to get that right. It was a good cut and cooked as asked. Thanks!
Many of the items that we wanted to order on a Saturday afternoon were sold out, which was very disappointing. Or server did not proactively let us know about any of the outages until after we sled for them while he was taking our order, which added to the disappointment. Overall, service was slow, but friendly, despite many open tables in the restaurant and water glasses went unfilled without repeated requests.
That being said, the food we did eat tasted pretty good. We got the Jamaican jerk chicken wings (a little too much onion powder, but otherwise good), fish & chips, and a monkfish special. The real appeal here is the pirate theming and rum list. We would give it one more try to see if some of the weak spots were just for to a bad day.
First visit for a different type of anniversary celebration. Had a great time and will be back. This place is "manned" by a crew of fun loving folks who do not take themselves too seriously, except when it comes to service and food. If you are into rum then you have to try this place. ARRRGH!
First time visiting. Cold night and was seated near window—felt cold all during dinner. Noise level very high. Food was just ok.
We used to go to its original location in Glenn Burnie off Marley Creek and were worried about the new place and its atmosphere. No need to worry. They have done a good job warming up a strip mall location. My Seafood Gumbo was very tasty. Unfortunately our Dining companion's cheeseburgers were overcooked for their liking. The server apologized and had them re-done to their liking. On top of that, out of no where the manager came by later and gave us a gift certificate to apologize and invite us back. We will take them up on it.
Loved the new I Patch Ale IPA they just released. Excellent food! House-made hot sauce is a must have. I highly suggest making a reservation. The Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl is delicious (see pic).
First time there. Great service great food. Really enjoyed.
Our Server Michael T was awesome!
we love the place! the food and service is always great!
Very crowded and noisy on a Friday night and not easy to find parking. It definitely felt like more of a bar that served food that night, not a restaurant with a bar. This was not helped by the fact that my reserved table was in the bar area. I’d go back, but save Friday nights for the bar crowd.
Fried oyster sandwich really quite tasty (I did ask for extra sauce as I like it that way), but a lot of breading on oysters and hard to taste the oysters. Despite that, I would definitely order that again. My companion had the crab cake sandwich, but it was nothing to rave about. The fries were good with options of old bay seasoning shaker and vinegar or ketchup bottle served at the table.
Lots of rum choices, but my friend and I were just so-so on the two different rum cocktails that we had. But I’m more of a wine person.
Decor was in the pirate/sea theme with an interesting touch of using a skull to mark a reserved table.
The food was very good, and our server was pleasant and attentive.
