Absolutely some of the very best food I have had. EVERYTHING was amazing....the flavor, the portions, the staff!!!! Highly recommend!!
My family and I had a wonderful time at Musume before the symphony. The food was fantastic and our server was very friendly, attentive and wonderful.
This was my second visit to Musume in the past month or so. First time I had dinner before a concert in the area. It was so good that I wanted my friends who enjoy Asian food to check it out. We had lunch for three and it was better than the first time!
Love it! Get the ribs app!!!
The salmon sashimi was decadent. Very nice quality fish. Don't miss out on the Japanese yam too!
Maybe because it was a Sunday evening, the service was inattentive. One dish we ordered never arrived and we had theater tickets so had to just cancel it.
It was our 1st time dining there. (We usually go to Akita or Benihana's.) I saw this on open table & decided it was worth a try.
I'm so glad I did! It was a really great place to have dinner on Mother's Day! My mom, my dad, my husband & my son's thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Casual, great customer relations, nice atmosphere & the food was awesome!!
One of my son’s had the salmon & I don’t eat salmon but I tried it & I’m going back to have it for dinner Sunday! (I’ve tasted a bite here & there @various places because everyone says that salmon is good...it wasn’t...well until now.)😉
Great service, server was engaged and offered excellent insight into what was exceptional in the menu.
I read the reviews ad was excited at first. The food was pretty bad honestly. The dim sum smelled like old fish. The sushi was fine and seemed fresh but overall we were pretty disappointed.
Wonderful experience, delicious food, friendly staff & great atmosphere. Servers were knowledgeable about menu & very accommodating! Can’t wait to go back.
Food is great, service is outstanding. We've been three times and loved it each time.
First time visiting was a win. Green Papaya salad was fresh tasting and not at all spicy. Chicken teriyaki was unusual grilled whole breast sliced on vegetables -good but not great. Forbidden Hallibut was lovely. The stir-fried vegetables were very spicy wit no notice on menu. Combo fried rice was also spicy (no mention on menu) but not as spicy as the stir-fried vegetables.
The food was very high quality, and except for unwarned spiciness, the dinner was quite nice. We will
We had the perfect table, a most fabulous six course “shared” meal with paired sake. Brynn was our server, and she was so welcoming, real, and we would come back just to have her positive and fun personality again! Bravo!
Had a wonderful business lunch. We ordered multiple dishes and shared family style. Don't miss the tempura green beans or the duck confit over forbidden rice.
Dallas is becoming quite the place for outstanding Japanese -- with Shinsei, Uchi and others. Musume is a worthy addition to a star-studded firmament of high-quality Japanese cuisine.
Great Food , amazing service and even better cocktails!
My husband and I came for a date night and loved it. It was amazing all around, from the service to food. We loved it and loved how the manager was very tentative and made sure everything was good. We will definitely be back.
Terribly noisy spot- it was hard to talk to my friends. I wouldn't call it "energetic" since that insinuates a positive connotation which is out of place.
A real turnoff were the hot pants that the waitress wore who brought drinks from the bar to diners. It made the restaurant look seedy instead of upscale.
Before heading off to the symphony with colleagues we stopped by Musume for dinner. The food was excellent starting with the chef's gift of peppers in miso, and continuing through the last bite of sushi. It was so good that we went back the next day. We nibbled our way through a variety of offerings and each was positively delicious. Service was uniformly attentive without being overbearing. The staff was knowledgeable of the food and beverage offerings. Anytime we are in Dallas, this will be one of our "go to" places.
Our service was slow and spotty even though they were not packed. The food was mediocre. My unagi was not fresh. The chicken in my buns was over cooked.
We tried musume before attending an event downtown. It was quiet enough that we could hear each other talk, yet loud enough to give a good hip vibe. Our server was very very friendly and was excited to give us recommendations which we were glad to take. We’d definitely return and would recommend this place to others.
Great food & drinks. Service was good. Crowded.
Our first time at Musume. We chose it because of it's proximity to Winspear Opera House and it turned out to be a great pick. We ordered several of the small plates, some sashimi and everything was quite good. I thought the pork belly was outstanding, as was the yellowtail sashimi. Waiter forgot one thing we ordered but it turned out for the best since the small plates were all good portions and we had plenty to eat. The sake selection was a tad overwhelming. Our waiter seemed horrified that I wanted Geikikkan served warm. Just a bumpkin from Fort Worth. Reasonably priced for a Dallas sushi restaurant.
Great food and great service.
Musume far exceeded my expectations! I can’t express how many times I include a note mentioning a special occasion and it’s never mentioned. Musume went above and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing. I highly recommend!! Ask for Brittany!!
Food is amazing!! It’s a trendy spot and attracts a younger, hipper crowd. It can get loud.
We missed Kenichi and were glad to discover it’s rebirth as Musume.
Great recommendations from the waitress, great small tasters from the chef and sushi bar, and so close to the opera house! Delicious.
Made reservations to celebrate our daughter’s 15th birthday. Service was good, food was delicious and they gave her a small cake to celebrate. It was really nice.
Anniversary dinner and the host acknowledged the occasion. The waiter said we would receive the peppers however we then had to ask twice for them. For the price I have had much better sushi. Also too many hipsters. Would not return.
I looked at the menu on the website before going, and the prices looked a bit high but understandable for an outstanding restaurant. The issue is that the actual prices on the menu that I got were form 10-20% higher than they tell visitors to the website. Some of the appetizer were very tasty such as the dynamite shrimp and black cod, but the shrimp was extremely small for the price and the cod stuck to the skin and was impossible to pick up from the skin with chopsticks. The specialty rolls, which we had the Hot Mess and Morgan, were very good, but only approx. 4 pieces for the $20 price tag. The worst fail of the evening was the Japanese Cowboy which was $44, and the quality of the ribeye steak was probably Choice. It had gristle instead of marbling, and they do not know how to cook a steak. The temperature was as requested, but the steak looked a bit anemic with a light grey surface. Thus, they must have the correct equipment to cook steaks.
Food was fabulous!! Service was a little slow but she was very sweet!
Musume has a super chill yet classy vibe. Great space and the sushi was delicious. The service was wonderful and our waiter was able to recommend some new sushi rolls to try (which ended up being awesome). Would definitely go back.
Best Serrano yellowtail I have had in a long time. Great ambiance - it filled up quick on a Wednesday night.
Great ambience, service, and food. Expensive, but good. The manager, Elliott, and Meghan, our server, could not have been more welcoming. Elliott gave me his personal card and offered to assist in any way as we left, and when I called 10 minutes later to ask them to help with a missing wallet, he kept his promise of service.
Great place. I preferred the menu at Kenichi, its former iteration in Victory Park, but it is still good.
Elliot the manager on the floor was absolutely amazing!!
The food was good but service was snooty. We won't be back.
We enjoyed the restaurant and thought it had many options for Sushi and Asian food lovers. Right the center of the Arts District and across the street from the Symphony and ATT Performance Arts Center on Flora Street. Great place before and after the theater. Very good service and the food was EXCELLENT !
