The food is good, but too many people walking around without masks for my liking. Service was excellent.
Absolutely the best! A must place to eat if living in or visiting Dallas. Ask about access to the speakeasy after dinner. You will be glad you did!
everything was fabulous❤️
10/10 would recommend best sushi in Dallas
Excellent selection and friendly staff! The food was amazing
Service was great. Sushi amazing. Very pricey so would likely reserve for special occasions, too expensive to become my neighborhood Sushi place.
Service, Food, Courtesy & Ambience was Perfect! If you having a party, date or anniversary this is the perfect spot to have it. The bar when you walking is a perfect start before you sit down. They know all the special drinks so try out something new....
Food, customer service and ambiance was all amazing! Would go back again.
My expectations were too high I guess. It was our one year anniversary. To start The place is very nice and good atmosphere. We sit at a nice table and get drinks that are good and start our order. We order one roll and the omakase. The waiter made a mistake and brought a cooked lobster (we discussed this dish earlier but didn’t purchase it). No big deal... the first course comes and is good along with the sushi roll which was also good. The next 6 courses on the omakase were so bad and tasted so fishy that I had to spit them out. I have had sushi hundreds of times starting from when I was about 5 years old and this sushi just tasted bad. The worst part was it looked so good. The presentation was impeccable though The taste was disgusting. Very upsetting. Then the bill comes for $340 (including tip which I still put at 20%) for two people. really disappointing considering I barely enjoyed any of the meal. Then we went next door to akai. That was coolish and fun vibe.
Overall just really disappointed to spend that much that night and not really feel like it was anywhere close to worth it.
The host was seating all guests right next to each other when the restaurant was mostly empty and lot closer than 6 feet.
Black Cod was served cold
Took 28 minutes to get first course
Out of tempura green beans for sushi roll
Musume was empty at lunch, the week after Snowmageddon, and that’s a shame.
The bento boxes are wonderful, the room is fantastic, and service was just right. Musume is great for downtown sushi, and we will be back soon.
Great attention from all staff, just the right amount of timely interaction. The food was superb, doesn’t get any fresher. Some of the combinations were unique but all complimented each other perfectly. We especially enjoyed the hot rock, pork belly buns and sashimi tuna as well as the smoked soy sauce. You really cannot go wrong with your selection... all the sushi rolls were awesome. The dynamite shrimp had just the right amount of kick.
Overall A+, you hit it out of the park, we will be returning. Why did it take us so long to find this place! An excellent evening for our anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful night.
Awesome amazing food & even better service
Great place! Ask to be taken to the bar in the back, it is a good time!
LOVE THE PEOPLE AND LOVE THE FOOD.
Delicious food/drinks and wonderful service! It has a very hip vibe, our only complaint was that it was a little noisy (they had a private party in an event room near us so that probably contributed). Since it was our Valentine's date we were hoping for a little more of an intimate ambiance (it was our first time there so weren't sure what to expect), but still had a great experience and it's definitely fun for a 'going out' kind of vibe.
Wonderful food and service
Food was incredible, maybe the best Japanese restaurant I've been to! They were extremely busy though and not doing much to respect covid distancing, I felt a bit uncomfortable due to the amount of people and the crowds of people near the entrance and bar. Can't wait to return once covid is not a concern.
Great food and service. Our waitress guided us in the right direction on every choice
Had a phenomenal early Valentine's Day dinner! My boyfriend and I had a minor issue previously and made note of it on OpenTable; the manager personally reached out and rolled out the red carpet on the next visit.
Being vegan, a lot of restaurants have barely any options but at Musume, we were able to have a 10-course meal with more options yet to be explored. Our top favorites are: the Superfly Vegan roll, the Wok Charred Okra, the Shiitake Gyoza, the Japanese Eggplant, the Crispy Tofu, and the peanut butter mousse for dessert.
We are so happy that we've found such a gem and look forward to exploring the rest of their menu.
Tova! Thank you for the positive review. We take great pride in our vegan menu. We know that it one of the most unique menu's in the DFW area. Chef Yuki and Chef Rigo always make sure that every item has a different flavor profile. Please follow @musumedallas on Instagram to see sake/wine dinner tastings and new dinner items. My wife loved her dinner; I thought mine was ok. Service was either great or not there. Somewhat pricey menu.
The food was amazing but we were a bit surprised that the hostess sat us right next to the only other diners in the restaurant at the time (5pm). We voiced our concerns and she said it was because they were so busy that night. Not true. When we left they were only about 20% occupied. Pretty shocking, considering Covid. Luckily, everything else was great.
Musume as a restaurant is top notch. The raw and cooked items are exceptional and they have a good sake list to compliment the food. The Akai nightclub in the back, however, is a massive disappointment. If you aren't with a group in a reserved area buying bottles of liquor or champagne you have a hard road ahead. My girlfriend and I had a small table eventually getting cocktail service. We ordered 2 drinks off their menu and 2 waters. Payment was asked for and I gave $100 cash and said we were just having a nightcap. I let the cocktail server know she could go ahead and close it as we weren't staying long. No surprise when our waters are $5@ Fijis. Pretty standard for an uber lounge. But I happened to count my change and it was about $7 short. When I could finally get the young lady's attention she said it was an "auto grat(uity)" and club policy. The receipt I got made no mention of it. She replied she must have accidentally tore the ticket bottom off by habit. She was going to tell me when she dropped my change but I was in the restroom. Basically they are trying to double dip the customers on the tip. After spending nearly $250 on dinner and then just wanting a nightcap (early) before Akai got busy I couldn't have felt less welcome and left feeling scammed. We left shortly thereafter and ended up with one more battle. At the valet stand we were first in line behind a couple whose car was already being retrieved and it was stall a full 20 minutes. I cannot even imagine what would happen if we were behind multiple people waiting on their cars. As usual, the restaurant rocked. The rest was a crock.
Best cocktails and wonderful service. Sushi was amazing as well. Will definitely be coming back!
We went for our anniversary dinner and it was a perfect way to celebrate. The atmosphere was amazing and the dishes were so refined and tasteful. We loved our server Rachel and it spoke well that the management was around to check in and help out.
I would definitely take the recommendation that the food is meant to be shared. Each dish is different enough that I was happy to try different things.
Food was great though there was a “printer issue” with my meal so I didn’t get my food till everyone else was done eating.
Loved it. Great food. Cool speakeasy in back.
Wonderful. However, please don’t advertise that diners can just walk over to the Speakeasy. Only to be told you need a reservation. Although we stayed for a drink we would have stayed for 2-3 more had we been able. Instead went to Table thirteen where we spent $125 in drinks....
I asked for a romantic dinner via Open Table, and they seated us at a great table and the service was the perfect balance of paying attention and giving us time alone. We will definitely go back any time we’re in Dallas!!
My friend and I visited Musume a few Friday's ago and the food was AMAZING! Though we had to wait almost an hour after our reserved time to be seated(hence the 4 star), the manager Sean made up for it with his gracious hospitality! And for this I will definitely be back. Oh, and of course for the excellent cuisine! Thanks Sean and Musume for making our evening memorable.
Food was excellent and timely. Had an incredible sushi platter and enjoyed our meal immensely
Such a great experience dining at Musume. Their collection of sake can’t be beat, and the owner (Khalil) came out and talked with us, which was awesome. Couldn’t recommend Musume more!!!
Our waiter was phenomenal and we felt very welcome. The food was so good!
Musume is a great upscale sushi restaurant if you are looking for a special date night or a place to have a celebratory dinner. Our server Kendall was great and answered all of our questions with ease. I will definitely be coming back for other special occasions.
An absolutely astonishing
Our regular date night spot. Tried about half the “seven sins” specials and loved them all. Staff were all outstanding as usual. Always worth the 45 minutes drive from Prosper!
My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast and will definitely bring more of our girlfriends next vibe. Very swanky vibe with nice music. A wonderfully diverse crowd and everyone looks amazing! The food was delicious and our waitress never missed a beat on her recommendations! Going to Akai after for a couple of drinks to cap the night was the best! Almost gives a Vegas nightlife vibe inside, and we loved it!
The first time I came here was for cocktails with friends. The bar is lively up front and good vibes! They play the best music here like Rufus su sol. The second time was my first date with my BF, the food is great, service is fast and friendly, and cocktails are perfect! They have a secret bar in the back so it can be a really fun night. Now me and my bf come here often for the good vibes and ambiance!
Musume is actually one of my fav places in Dallas. The food is so good always. The music is nice, the drinks are good and the service is good.
First time in Dallas, the food here was amazing I got the steam dumplings and the tempura shrimp roll! I wanted to eat there the next day I will definitely be going back! And the akai room was an amazing experience.
