Super great service and food! Waiter was attentive.
This gem of an Asian restaurant has an innovative menu with quality ingredients From miso dishes to sushi the preparation is outstanding the service superior and the atmosphere awesome
As an added treat walk through the kitchen to a private speakeasy in the back of the restaurant
The only complaint I have was the quality of service
We love Musume. Food and Service are always outstanding
The food was decent, not crazy about the atmosphere it’s more of a younger crowd. Our waitress couldn’t pace our appetizers or entrees, she would either come off as rushing us to order or take her time to make it back to the table to take our order, we didn’t order dessert cause of that reason. I expected more of a high end experience like Uchi with experienced staff.
Great Valentine's Day date night♥️
One of our favorite places
We dined here before a show at Winspear and had an amazing dinner. The service was excellent and made sure we had time to enjoy our meal and still make the show.
Every dish we ordered was beautiful to look at and had incredible flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning with my friends.
The sushi and dim sum is on point. I also love the ginger and wasabi. They also provided complimentary shishito peppers that were delicious. The dim sum had fantastic sauces including a remarkable mango cilantro. The Heart of Gold and Friday night rolls were well prepared and came with sauces that also complemented the roll well and tempered the wasabi to make it a better combination.
Musume is the most wonderful- Khalil knows how to run a great place- Nathan was amazing- it seriously is one of my most favorite restaurants in Dallas- I always look forward to being there- lamb lollipops and the delicious cod are my go to’s but I am now in LOVE with the wild boar pot stickers- lovely wine list and sake galore- this restaurant is a GEM!
Going to a play at the Wylie so perfect location.
We had their sushi which was excellent started with the hamachi Serrano , then had salmon and tuna sashimi, prawn sushi and roll with tempura shrimp. Everything was delicious and fresh Loved the fresh wasabi too. Ended with scoop of green tea ice cream. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were on time for our play.
Also you can valet your car and pick up after the play.
Server was thoughtful and genuine. He was also very efficient. Food was very good. I enjoyed meal.
The food was bland, or tasted like quality airplane catering. The portions are small. The restaurant is beautiful and ambiance trendy. The service was average. The price was incredibly high. The value was just not there for us.
Very nice experience. Being across the street from the Meyerson and ATT center was great. Good sake collection. Had the flight of sake's.
This is been our go to place the last two times we were seeing a show and it has not disappointed either time. The food was great and the device that a even better. And given it’s a 5 min walk to any of the area venues it could not be easier.
So happy found great Sushi and insane selection of Saki. Can’t wait to come back.
Great to have a restaurant of this caliber in the Arts District!
The short rib is perfect.
Such a great place for sushi and seafood! We didn’t have a steak dish but the people next to us did and that looked amazing as well. They were kind enough to bring me out a tempura cheesecake for my birthday (hadn’t mentioned my bday but apparently open table notifies them about it). This place is perfect especially if you’re catching a show at the Winspear.
The location is great (Art District) so it’s very pretty outside and the curb appeal is very classy. The food is meh? I mean it’s Asian/Sushi, but I was expecting a bit more um... I’m not sure just more. I ordered the Miami, way too much crab salad, it tasted just like any other crab roll that I have had. It overpowered the salmon and I couldn’t quite taste it at all. My friend got the duck, it was definitely worth it, super tender with black rice. We also tried the Tempura Melon? It was a recommendation, but I really couldn’t taste anything, it was a bit starchy and just fried tempura.
The thing that made the actual dinner amazing was our server! He was so professional and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our night.
The food, service, everything was amazing! The server saw that we had a budget to stay within and gave us suggestions that allowed us to enjoy their best dishes without going over. I would go there again.
Not a good value nor quality Japanese food. Great sake selection. Akai is really loud and just a fad.
The food was amazing. All of the dishes had a very fresh and bold flavors which were wonderfully paired with our drinks thanks to the service of our waiter and the staff.
My fiancé and I came here for dinner on their anniversary. It was half off rolls and sake. We ordered one bottle of sake, two appetizers, and four rolls. We were too full for dessert! We had no problem being seated at our reservation time. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. The miso cod appetizer rivaled Nobu. We really appreciated that they give you real wasabi with the rolls. The sake selection was really good too. After dinner we asked to be escorted to the speakeasy next door where we wound down with a couple drinks. All in all a wonderful date evening, and definitely a splurge. Even with the discounts the meal plus tip ended up costing nearly $300. I could only afford to come here on special occasions. Highly recommend!
Our server was fantastic. He gave some great recommendations and was very courteous. The black cod misozuke (waiter recommendation) was one of the best things I've eaten. The sushi rolls were also extremely good. I have to say the lobster fried rice was quite good, but to me, not on the level as the other food there. That being said, if I were in the area again, I would definitely come back here.
Perfect place to eat after a show
It was extremely loud. I pretty much had to yell to communicate with my wife
Service was exceptional—very accommodating to vegan diners. The food was fantastic—every dish was delicious and well executed. Will definitely return soon.
Awesome. Food was excellent
We chose Musume because of its convenience to the Winspear Opera House but we quickly agreed that we would be back soon. The food was wonderful but even more impressive was the service. Our primary server, Richie, was amazing. He was fun, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. In fact everyone was incredibly knowledgeable about all facets of the menu and of their extensive sake selection. My husband and I went to Musume for convenience but we found a new favorite restaurant and we will definitely go back soon.
We went here before a performance at Moody. The waitress kept us on track and on time. We were seated promptly. Two of us had the fried rice--one chicken, one shrimp--it was spicier than we expected, but not too spicy for us. Portions were generous. One diner had two of the appetizers (and ate them all).
Musume was a treat! Great, unique cocktails. Broad range of large and small plates, and tasty rolls. Appropriately attentive service. We would definitely go back.
My daughter and I went to go see Blue Man Group and decided to try this place out. The food was really, really good. The server was so nice. The owner stopped by and told is about the speakeasy, so we stopped by afterwards and it was beautiful. Will definitely come back before we go to a show again.
Food was good. Pours at bar dismal.
Lively and energetic
Good looking crowd
Fun bar scene
The food was delicious. But it was very noisy with very loud music. The dish called smoked tofu was very misleading, because it was mainly mashed sweet potatoes with 4-5 small tofu cubes.
Great service, great food. We will be visiting again!
Some of the best sushi and rolls in Dallas, and so convenient to the Arts District's venues. Buyer beware - I was charged $30 for a shot of Blantons and up-charged $2 for a big ice cube!
Everything was very good and the service was excellent.
Would definitely recommend for a special occasion (as it is expensive), plus it’s conveniently located for DSO shows! Our drinks, appetizer, entrees, and dessert were all delicious! The dessert trio was amazing—I’m not a dessert person & often you’ll get something like that and one or two will be good or okay, but all three were fantastic & I would highly recommend. Service was top notch, and you can easily hold a conversation there. If you’re thinking of making a reservation, you should do it!
