Since its beginnings as a local gathering spot over 35 years ago, Mustards Grill has blossomed into a destination for all who appreciate memorable food, superb wines and a warm welcome. Mustards food is Chef/Owner Cindy Pawlcyn’s mix of American regional dishes with global influences. The list of “Way Too Many Wines” represents the best from appellations throughout California and the New World.
Mustards is an American Grill, featuring flavors from around the globe. The wood-burning grill produces such favorites as Cindy’s famous Mongolian Pork Chop, Sonoma Rabbit, and the ½ pound Niman Ranch hamburger. The oakwood smoker fills the restaurant with aromas of BBQ baby back ribs, Wood Oven Duck, and our Oooeee Smoked Pork. Specialties include Seared Ahi Tuna on sesame crackers and Crispy Calamari tossed with curried slaw. The eclectic wine list features Way Too Many Wines from The Napa Valley, Sonoma, The Oregon, and Europe!
Very overrated. Small portions and high prices.
Waitress gave us little to no eye contact.
Forgot husbands beer.
Food was great!
Fantastic food and great service. Small place so be sure to make reservations.
Mustards never disappoints
We have visited Mustard’s several times over the years while visiting Napa Valley and have enjoyed it. This time I ordered the fish of the day, Halibut served in a pepper cream sauce. Unfortunately halibut was over cooked and dry. Manager was very nice and offered to re-do it but I opted not. My husband ordered the duck and enjoyed it very much. They did send a complimentary dessert to us which was considerate.
Annual trip to Napa
outstanding as always!! Great food! Awesome service! just love this place!!
Great dining experience at a local and storied restaurant in Napa. The service by Doug was excellent and he took the time to share a little of the restaurants background and a good overview of the menu.
Some of the wines are not branded, but, were excellent. I tried the pinot noir flight and it was great pairing with the beef dish that night.
And yes, great food. This is must try stop if you are visiting Napa.
We split the Truck Stop Special and the kitchen did a beautiful job of preparing separate plates. The waiter was very attentive and entertaining.
Did not live up to expectations or price. Lots of other options in this area
We ordered the onion strings, pumpkin soup, chicken salad, and pork chop. Everything was delicious. Service was great too.
My wife and I have been eating at Mustards Grill since Cindy opened this historic restaurant a long time ago (30+ years). We still have one of her original "Menus", I just need her to autograph it (BIG SMILE). We have enjoyed all of Cindy's restaurants and continue to dine at our favorite restaurant in the Napa Valley.
I know there are a lot of famous Owners/Chefs out of the Napa Valley region, but I consider Cindy the leader of the term "California Culinary Cuisine".
Excellent as always. This is one of the best restaurant in Napa or Sonoma Valley.
The food was delicious! The ambiance was cozy. We'll be back!
Absolutely awesome. Mustards hasn’t lost a step in 30 years. Try the pork chop for dinner and desert.
There's a reason that their famous for the Mongolian Pork Chop! I think I'm still craving it a week later. Service was exceptional - friendly, not stuffy, yet elegant. We'll definitely be back.
Very fun “truck stop” (that’s what they referenced). Great food, lots of unique choices and very good service.
One of my favorites, great food and service. A comfortable place to dine
Great restaurant. Napa Valley Classic with some iconic dishes and great wine list!
Reese was wonderful - shared his opinion regarding the menu and made sure we didn’t miss anything.
I dined many years ago and really enjoyed the skirt steak.... actually 25 years ago... that’s how wonderful it was.... however going back a few times after that I found the service to be rude and arrogant and unwelcoming- thinking we’re all tourists.
The food is average - to be truthful I had a sandwich and thought CBK’s sandwiches were better. Our guest LOVED the pork chop- it was her first time and last as she is moving this week.
Reese changed my opinion about the service- he was friendly and welcoming... now whether that’s because I came with “newer” local that has made herself know to the restaurant, I don’t know... but either way, the service from Reese was very attentive.
For the price, however I will stick to my other places as I think the food is better. I will go to a place for decent food as long as I’m given wonderful service, but I won’t over pay for it.
We have so many choices in the valley...
I considered Cindy a friend for many years... celebrated the 20th anniversary of Mustards, held my own event at CBK, and would give her as much business as I possibly could, as long as I didn’t feel like I was over paying for what I was receiving.... I still will.
Who knows, maybe I’ll come by for lunch during the slow season.
Come with an appetite! The meals were excellent and abundant! We enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the hanger steak. I had the soup of the day which was fantastic. My wife added the onion rings (great but needed a forklift to deliver them - stacked to the ceiling). Did the butterscotch pot of cream with a cookie. Excellent wine list!!!
Our server, Gabriel, was very personable and efficient. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!!!
We will definitely be back!!!
Great visit to an establishment in Napa. We love coming here and it never gets old.
My S.O. and I have been going to Mustards for 20+ years and it always has reliably good food and service. Sadly, just like the rest of the Bay and Napa Areas, it has also gone massively upscale price wise. It is a very nice, "casual" restaurant and always an enjoyable dining experience -- at least until the bill comes. A hundred and thirty dollars for lunch for two (including two of the cheapest glasses of wine) is just too much. In the Bay Area large groups of 20-somethings go out on corporate functions and so no one cares about the bill. Up in Napa it seems to be some combo of incredible rich middle to old age folk and expense account diners. I have had enough of it.
We had a wonderful lunch here. The ahi crackers were amazing and so was the chicken sandwich! We will definitely be back.
Always a treat. Great food and Way Too Many Wines.
Homemade ketchup with haystack thin crispy onion rings.
Mongolian Pork chop, adult grilled cheese sandwich with garden fresh salad are favorites Great dessert menu.
Kids menu also.
Our waitress was fantastic as was the food. Another great dining experience at Mustards.
This was our 3rd time to Mustards and it was not as good as the 1st two times - the lemon chicken and garlic mashed potatoes was a disapointmeant and so were the specials. But the pasta was fabulous.
The Adult Grill Cheese was the best thing ever! Pork chop was also amazing. Must give this place a try if you haven’t!
My "go to" place when I am entertaining guests and take a trip to Napa Valley!
Mustards is a MUST when you go to Nappa.
The food is unbelievable !
Every plate is amazing ... crowded and busy .. it’s a hit spot ... just don’t let them rush you through .. order drinks then appetizers then your meal ... it’s a must do
Perfectly prepared hamburgers and the best service one could hope for.
Mustards is always on our list when in Napa. Great unpretentious food along with great service.
Always excellent food and service. A must to go to in Napa.
Awesome! Had crab cakes, sweet corn tamale and “The Pork Chop”..., great service the wine was amazing!!!
Go get some !!!
Great food, great service, and overall value. We will be back the next time we visit the valley.
We met friends for lunch and we were never hurried as we visited. The onion rings are the best anywhere. The Best. Service was attentive but not over watchful. Food was out quickly and was hot. However, the spare ribs - which I’ve enjoyed before - was a not as tender, fall of the fork as I expected, so this was a disappointing. However, I plan to go back another time since is one of my favorite restaurants.
Dinner with family
Awesome Napa institution!
Our dinner was fantastic. My wife's scallops were done to perfection. She said they were the best she ever had. My lamb dish was equally as good.
