Mustards Grill Ratings and Reviews
Delicious meal: rabbit done to perfection; yummy burger and tasty bread pudding nicely offset by tangy buttermilk ice cream. Excellent service by all staff, from hostesses to our waiter to busboy. Stellar! Only nit: so loud at times you can’t hear yourself think.
What a wonderful dinner. We dined early and the diners included all ages from babies to the elderly, Everyone appeared to be having a wonderful time. It was a bit noisy, tables do close that all sound combined to make it a bit hard to hear your own companions but the pleasantness of the diners, their obvious enjoyment of the food and each other made for a very nice evening,
My husband and I hoped to have a special evening, and it was our first time at Mustard's. We were seated by a new hostess who didn't check us in properly, and the experienced hostess didn't realize we had been seated and reported us to Open Table as "No Shows." We then received a "slap on the hand" email from Open Table, when we were, in fact, 15 minutes early for our reservation. In addition we were seated at a very small two top table, sandwiched in between two other tables, and felt like we were sharing the special evening with strangers. The food was fine, but nothing special. We will go back, because we still have a balance on our Open Table gift card. We're hoping to have a better experience next time.
Whenever we go to Napa to pick up our wine (St Supery 💕❤️💕) we like to stop in at Mustards for lunch as we head back home. I typically order a couple of appetizers and my husband likes their hamburger - simple and always delicious! They have a great wine list, too!
Super great! I forgot my servers name, but he was super nice! His mustache, his character, great guy! They were all so great when we realized there was something underneath my plate. He went over and beyond to show me that he was truly sorry. OVERALL customer service was TERRIFIC. :)
We had been to Mustard's before and were looking forward to a nice evening out with our best friends. We were seated promptly and started with some good drinks. About half way through our entrees a group of 12 was seated next to us and you would have thought they were at a sports bar during the Super Bowl. We complained to the waitress about the noise level and her response was that they really couldn't do anything about them because they might get mad and leave. We could tell the entire restaurant was uncomfortable with the juvenile behavior of the group (all in their thirties) so we rushed though our meals, skipped desert and got out. This is not some cheap restaurant, but we will not be back. The next night we went to BRIX next door and had a great time with some wonderful food. Go there instead as Mustard's doesn't have the sense to deal with a group that made everyone in the vicinity visibly uncomfortable.
Our first time and it was exactly what we expected. Well cooked variety of food. The steelhead trout was so fresh, perfectly seared and laid on a bed of tasty kale and cauliflower. Lightly spices and paired with a lovely sav blanc. Friendly professional servers and relaxing environment for an intimate conversation. Well done! I’ll be back
Well executed food in a rustic wine country environment. Professional, attentive service, yet friendly and efficient. Pricey but for a get away treat, it was worth the drive from SF. The lamb burger ($17.95) was cooked perfectly and do order dessert. Every dessert I saw looked scrumptious and our chocolate truffle tart with ice cream was heaven! Large enough to split. Went on a sunny Thursday in February.
Steak was brought well done instead of medium rare as requested; correction was made promptly, but steak was only mediocre. Not good value for the price. We’ve been there many times over the years; first time we were disappointed, but will probably make a different choice next time.
This was a birthday lunch for two of the five in the party. We were a little early and ordered drinks at the bar. Great Bartender! Took the order for 5 and got everything right the first time without any questions. We took our drinks out to the patio and the hostess came and got us when the table was ready. We ordered 5 different entrees and the famous Mongolian Pork Chop as the appetizer. Everything was wonderful. The two birthday's desserts came with candles. Service was exceptional even though the restaurant was packed. We will return and return and return.
We always enjoy Mustard’s and make a point to visit every time we’re in the area. Our server was wonderful and wished us a happy anniversary upon seating us at our table. It was a little cool where we sat, though the weather outside was lovely, so I had to wear my jacket. If I have any criticism on the meal it would’ve that the homemade chips weren’t as crispy as I remember them, but I will not be deterred from coming again. Thank you for a great meal.
This continues to be one of our favorites. The food here is always delicious. Service is usually excellent. Our service this time was very good, but had to wait a little longer to order than usual. Nithing too bad, we were given menus and drinks right away but it took awhile to place our order. All four meals were delicious. Dessert was great as well. All thungs considered we had a great evening.
