Since its beginnings as a local gathering spot over 35 years ago, Mustards Grill has blossomed into a destination for all who appreciate memorable food, superb wines and a warm welcome. Mustards food is Chef/Owner Cindy Pawlcyn’s mix of American regional dishes with global influences. The list of “Way Too Many Wines” represents the best from appellations throughout California and the New World.
Mustards is an American Grill, featuring flavors from around the globe. The wood-burning grill produces such favorites as Cindy’s famous Mongolian Pork Chop, Sonoma Rabbit, and the ½ pound Niman Ranch hamburger. The oakwood smoker fills the restaurant with aromas of BBQ baby back ribs, Wood Oven Duck, and our Oooeee Smoked Pork. Specialties include Seared Ahi Tuna on sesame crackers and Crispy Calamari tossed with curried slaw. The eclectic wine list features Way Too Many Wines from The Napa Valley, Sonoma, The Oregon, and Europe!
Always an excellent dining experience. We love Mustard’s Grill and we will dine there every time we are near Yountville.
Absolute best halibut sandwich—ever. The service at Mustards is always outstanding. And the people watching? Wow!
How was Mustards? The answer is always amazing! The food, staff, service and ambiance are all amazing! I highly recommend it for lunch and dinner!
Great food! Great Service! The pork chop was outstanding!
Mustards Grill came highly recommended. The waitstaff was lovely and attentive. The tamales were wonderful as were the crab cakes. Wasn't a fan of the macaroni and cheese, but it was a fun dinner with friends.
Took my mom and dad out for my mom‘s 76th birthday it’s always good when I go there. The main thing is she loved it and that’s all that matters.
Love Mustard’s. The vibe is great and food is fantastic. We all loved our food and the servers were excellent. We found a fabulous bottle of wine even with the mark up. This is my go-to spot for lunch in Napa.
Incredible as always. They give away your reso when late so thankful they didn’t! Wings and pork chop are a must if it’s your first time!
Ear-splitting noise. Tables with large groups of guests often make it uncomfortable for all the other guests in the room.
Excellent food and attentive service.
Great as ever. It is a Napa institution like Gramercy Tavern in NYC or Zuni in SF
I’ve been to Mustards for dinner many times over the years and my opinion never changes; I love everything about this restaurant. Everything that I’ve tried so far on the menu in appetizers, entree’s and desserts have all been amazing. The service is always attentive and friendly with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We most recently brought my in-laws who were in town visiting and they absolutely loved it and will be returning themselves on their next trip.
Loud and hard to have a conversation with the person next to you but food was great as expected
Still terrific after all these years. The food matches the professional service staff. A lovely place to stop on a day trip to napa Valley.
I ordered the lamb burger and had to return it, as it was too pink, and I ordered it medium. It initially didn't have the onions on it, but when it came back to me, they had added the onions (and replaced all the fries so they were warm). It was very good, (as were the fries) but not outstanding, as I would have expected. The service was awesome, though!
Mustards Grill was recommended to us by Amici. We were not disappointed! Great food (pork chops were amazing), fantastic service and perfect wine pairing.
Delightful meal and friendly professional service
There was a bit of a dismissive attitude from the hostess upon requesting a seating preference and then from our server when asking for a sample of a wine on the menu. Our entrees (pork chop and Lamb chop) were over cooked.
We ate at Mustard’s for my husband’s birthday. I had the Mongolian pork chop and he had the truck stop special, which was a 14 oz ribeye with red wine reduction, polenta and grilled leeks. Amazing, delicious food and friendly, attentive service made our first visit so enjoyable. We’ll be back!
The service was impeccable and the food was delicious
Mustards is crowded, noisy and the food is overpriced but the food is always good and I like it there. I have been going there for years, and will continue to do so.
So many of our friends told us we had to go here. We are so glad they did. The pasta and lamb specials were fantastic and the service was impeccable. We will be back!
So terrific. The onion rings... OMG. And the lemon pie is to die for. It is true, “everything is delicious. Always a favorite when in the valley...
My brother-in-law has Parkinson's and my sister-in-law has terminal cancer. Waiter Jason was patient with my brother-in-law's slurred speech and made my sister-in-law feel special. It was her birthday and he brought her her ice cream with a candle in it. Wonderful meal and memory.
Candy is the best hostess on the planet! Enjoyed a great birthday lunch with my daughter. The food? Exceptionally good as always!!
Loved the food, loved the ambience, great service but wow... I could not hear my friend sitting across the table from me because it was so loud! But that will not deter me from returning. I might ask for a table along the wall next time.
I ordered the Duck, and it was quite tough, and overcooked, however the taste was good.
Wonderful mea. All around a fabulous dining experience!
It had been years since I had a meal at Mustards and my recent dinner did not disappoint! I look forward to returning!
Hadn't eaten here in many years, very pleased to find restaurant looking good, same vibe. Stellar service, discovered Fab new-to-me Pinot (Failla,Napa). A little disappointed with the grilled ahi sandwich. Sort of soggy for lack of better word. But will return for sure, reacquaint with the restaurant.
Loved this place no wonder it’s an institution in the Napa Valley. My husband was particularly happy about the generous portion size.
This restaurant is overrated. Too expensive for the food quality they serve. Only better parts are ambiance and service.
I liked the food but did not 'love' it. For the price I thought it should be a "love" the food. Good selection of wine and appetizers are probably the best choice. If I could rate the dessert I'd give it a 5 star - get the lemon meringue pie! Best Ever!
Food was good and Reese, our waiter, was both very knowledgeable and attentive on both of our visits.
Rhys was, as always, outstanding. We love the atmosphere at Mustards as well as the food.
It was my wedding anniversary, and I marked it through opentable. Many servers came and congratulated our anniversary. They prepared two glasses of sparking wine for us unexpectedly and we felt really happy about it. Food was great and their service was awesome.
Mustards has been a favorite since it opened many years ago. The food is always fresh, creative and delicious while the atmosphere is casual elegance with friendly, helpful & efficient service. Mustards is famous for their piles of string thin onion rings, tuna with wasabi toast, and ever changing specials. We especially enjoyed the plump crab cakes shared by all. Next time I may order them just for myself! I was also surprised at the reasonable wine pricing, rare in the Napa Valley. Everyone at the table were very pleased with the total experience...we will return soon!
Amazing restaurant and amazing atmosphere!!!
I've been dining at Mustard's since it opened many years ago and my daughter even worked there for a time, it feels like home. The food has maintained its high quality, and the service is always spot on: friendly, helpful and not intrusive. It is our "go-to" Napa restaurant for a good meal with good wine and friendly faces.
The crab cakes, rabbit and duck were all delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.
Birthday celebration was perfect. Food and service.
