Since its beginnings as a local gathering spot over 35 years ago, Mustards Grill has blossomed into a destination for all who appreciate memorable food, superb wines and a warm welcome. Mustards food is Chef/Owner Cindy Pawlcyn’s mix of American regional dishes with global influences. The list of “Way Too Many Wines” represents the best from appellations throughout California and the New World.
Mustards is an American Grill, featuring flavors from around the globe. The wood-burning grill produces such favorites as Cindy’s famous Mongolian Pork Chop, Sonoma Rabbit, and the ½ pound Niman Ranch hamburger. The oakwood smoker fills the restaurant with aromas of BBQ baby back ribs, Wood Oven Duck, and our Oooeee Smoked Pork. Specialties include Seared Ahi Tuna on sesame crackers and Crispy Calamari tossed with curried slaw. The eclectic wine list features Way Too Many Wines from The Napa Valley, Sonoma, The Oregon, and Europe!

Always a great experience at Mustards
The Mongolian Pork Chips, lemon Pie, and Choc Desert were worth the trip from SF. Plus the service. We’ve been many times the food is wonderful.
Mustard'sGrill is a Napa Valley institution. The wine list used to be entitled "Way Too Many Wines," unless the pandemic has changed that. The menu offers a range fresh delights that appeals to all but impossible eaters, from hearty proteins to delicate fish dishes. Super thin onion rings are a treat, and somehow the french fries are creamy on the inside and crisp on the outside. No pizza! Chef/owner Cindy Pawlcyn's food is delicious and beautiful to behold. She is a genius, always experimenting while continuing to offer our favorites. The new outdoor dining space is great, too.
Sitting outside due to COVID-19 hurt the experience, road noise and bugs. Food was good, just not as expected.
I love the ambiance and service. However the food did not meet our expectation. We ordered the ribs and meatloaf and both were dry and relatively tasteless. I hope on our next visit the food will be more satisfying and tasty.
It was actually good, the pork meat was a little bit hard, other than that food was great.
Great atmosphere and fantastic service. The food was delicious. Unfortunately we only got about 6 pieces of calamari hidden under a delicious pile of Cole slaw.
Food was delicious! Service great. They have done a great job of creating outdoor seating
Great food and service! Highly recommend this place!
great food and everything else couldn't ask for more
Mothers Day celebration.
Mother's Day Lunch
Delicious meal & excellent service! We will be back!
The staff at Mustard’s was so incredibly lovely.
My moms have been going here for years and always had great things to say about it. This is now my “go to”. We WILL be back and very, very soon.
No había los platillos que habíamos probado hace tiempo
We have been going to Mustards for 15 years. We live the place; however, we did not have a good experience this last time. The service was not good. Our food came cold and the Swordfish Tostada was a little fishy. So, we will definitely give Mustards another chance next time in Napa valley
We started with a sweet corn tamale. They cut it in half because my husband and I shared it it was very tasty but very small. My husband had a Mezcal martini and I had a margarita. Both drinks were OK but not special. My husband had the meatloaf for his main meal and I had the pork chop. Both were good but not spectacular not a lot of flavor. We also ordered the onion rings but when they came they were shoestring onion rings which is quite difficult to eat. The best part about the onion rings was the homemade ketchup that came with it. We ordered a piece of the lemon meringue tart it was by far the worst dessert made with lemons that we’ve ever had.
We did have an excellent waiter and the food not being top-notch was not his fault.
We decided to try mustard’s because Cindy’s backstreet was our favorite restaurant which is now closed. Mustards is definitely not the same even though the owner is the same as Cindy’s backstreet.
We had wanted to come here for years! The wait was worth it! We are already adding it to our itinerary for our next trip to Napa! The famous pork chop is a MUST!
Ribs were undercooked and tough
Great lunch or dinner spot with an eclectic menu in the heart of Napa.
Dining at MUSTARD’S is always a pleasant experience from the moment we enter the restaurant. It’s amazing how genuinely attentive and courteous the entire staff is from greeting to leaving! Easily our favorite eatery in Napa!
Super pork chop with insanely good mustard sauce (ask for an additional side for the chop. Great red cabbage served with the dish
For the first time ever I was disappointed with the service at Mustard's. I don't believe that it was the server's issue. There was only one server as far as I could see and she was running around with little help.
We loved our meal at Mustards Grill. The place had a beautiful view of some vineyards; we had intended to sit outdoors, but due to winds that day, our hostess was able to accommodate indoors.
They had a decent selection of wines by the glass and bottle, an adequate beer list, and some delicious sounding cocktails. My wife had one cocktail and enjoyed it while I stuck to wine.
Our meal was delicious and our server friendly and accommodating. My wife really liked her soup and salad and I thought the hanger steak and Cabernet on offer paired deliciously. We both enjoyed the chicken wings prior to our dinners. The ice cream for dessert really topped the meal nicely (I recommend the espresso ice cream with the Cabernet, it was excellent!).
Would definitely return!
Sorry but the staffs are absolutely not trained and definitely needs improvement..
Also felt unpleasant..during my last visit
Super yummy lunch on a Monday afternoon!
Service was great. Food was amazing! The only thing I didn’t like was the outdoor seating situation. I know it’s not their fault but the little flying nats are annoying as hell. Lol but highly recommended though 😊
All food was excellent expect for the grilled cheese. Is that fake cheese?
My son and I enjoyed a lovely outdoor dinner after a day of bike riding and a wine tasting. Service was excellent and efficient, not rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed my wild greens salad with grilled chicken and my son loved his seafood tostada. Do not overlook the tamale appetizer. Light, fluffy, delicious! And for dessert, the lemon meringue pie was off the charts...again, light and baked to perfection. Everyone was friendly including the bar tender who whipped up a concoction while we waited a few minutes for our table.
Absolutely the best from the service, outdoor setting, and the food! Love coming here for special occasions - it never disappoints.
With crowds returning BIG TIME, it is always so comforting to know MG respects their reservations and are always timely!! We became 7 and could not be more than 6, so they sat us next to each other (5and 2)and we bounced back and forth!! Win win!! Place is the BEST!!
I've been going to Mustard's since it opened in the '80s and all these years Cindy and her Team have consistently exceeded expectations across the board. I had the lamb special on Saturday and really...Hoisin Sauce and Shiitake Mushrooms on it was the best iteration of that special that I've had. Keep it up!
Iconic Napa Valley Dining. Have been eating here for over 30 years. Still a great dining experience.
Mustards Grill never disappoints! The food was absolutely amazing. Specifically the famous Mongolian pork chop, crab cakes, ahi tuna with crackers, and the pasta special (orecchiette carbonara with lobster and fresh asparagus!) Service is always impeccable. One of the best spots in the valley hands down.
Service was off, slow. Couldn’t help but notice other tables that ordered the same item as me and my portion was half the size.
Beautiful new outdoor gazebo over their garden. Tables are distanced and you can eat in their garden. Plenty of heat lamps to keep you warm. Services was superb and the food is consistently delicious.
fantastic!! service was good but wished it was a notch more attentive
We love Mustards! We sat outside in their amazing garden and had a lovely lunch. Hugo, our server, could not have been more helpful and kind, and his enthusiasm for the food he serves is amazing. We will be back again soon!
