Since its beginnings as a local gathering spot over 35 years ago, Mustards Grill has blossomed into a destination for all who appreciate memorable food, superb wines and a warm welcome. Mustards food is Chef/Owner Cindy Pawlcyn’s mix of American regional dishes with global influences. The list of “Way Too Many Wines” represents the best from appellations throughout California and the New World.

Mustards is an American Grill, featuring flavors from around the globe. The wood-burning grill produces such favorites as Cindy’s famous Mongolian Pork Chop, Sonoma Rabbit, and the ½ pound Niman Ranch hamburger. The oakwood smoker fills the restaurant with aromas of BBQ baby back ribs, Wood Oven Duck, and our Oooeee Smoked Pork. Specialties include Seared Ahi Tuna on sesame crackers and Crispy Calamari tossed with curried slaw. The eclectic wine list features Way Too Many Wines from The Napa Valley, Sonoma, The Oregon, and Europe!

We came for my son's birthday and arrived a little early for our reservation but the hostess was super sweet and was able to seat us. The food was delicious and our server was super spot on with everything, can't wait to come back again.

Our table was not ready when we checked in for our reservation. When we were seated the table was dirty. My food was raw. The waitress was bothered by my sending my food back. I will not be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others.

Our server Ali P was very good, she catered to our every need and was very personable. The food was spot on, great flavor, correct temperature, good portion, and nice presentation. Good place to eat while in the area.

It’s been 22 years since my spouse & I dined at Mustard’s and luckily, we got seated adjacent to where we last visited & dined. Everything was wonderful except our delicious bread was served ON the table linen and not on a bread plate, like every other table. I thought that was rather peculiar.

My wife and I had dinner at Mustards Grill last Thursday. We went to many of the top-rated spots while in Napa and Sonoma Valley, and Mustards was among the very best! I really have no complaints, so we'll just move on to the good...

It's so refreshing to have cuisine executed at such a high level but in an environment so casual, fun, and inviting. The food and wine service are absolutely top notch but without even a hint of pretention. It was our first visit, but we were treated like regulars.

We started with a burrata salad with grilled local nectarines and cherries as well the sweet corn tamales. Both were fantastic and light. The tamales were served with wild mushrooms, pumpkin seeds, and a tomatillo sauce, and were as delicious as any tamale I’ve had in the southwest. My wife ordered the rabbit with summer vegetables in a savory and light consommé and with an herb sauce with a finish that seemed to last forever. I ordered the Truckstop cut of the day, which was a Waygu center-cut rib steak served with Chanterelles and Cipollini onions. This was simply the best steak I’ve ever had!! The cabernet jus was so rich and perfect that it still lingers today! We finished with a flawless lemon meringue, so light and perfectly browned.

Thanks to Mustards Gill for a fantastic experience. Everything from the food, wine, service, and ambiance was excellent, and we look forward to our next visit!

As a resident of the Napa Valley, I have frequented Mustards on and off for 25 years.
This last meal was truly lacking the excellence that I have previously experienced.
The ahi tuna and the tamale were both excellent and the steak was good.
Everything else was mediocre at best; the duck burger was raw in places, the arugula
on the burger was wilted and a few pieces were yellowed, the Asian chicken salad
was a mixture of uninspired, pedestrian greens, too many noodles and did not come
together. The chicken sandwich seemed ordinary. The fries were leaden, seemed reheated
and I've enjoyed most fast food fries more.
I did not voice a complaint at the time as I did not want my guests to feel uncomfortable
but have no wish to revisit the restaurant and spend that amount of money on poor quality
and will certainly no longer recommend you.

We had an excellent dinner and service by Gabriel at Mustards Grill. We had a 7:15 p.m. reservation, but they took us earlier than that which was great. The meal started with delicious bread which they buy locally through the Model Bakery. We ordered the yummy baby back ribs (which Gabriel kindly offered and did cut for me which was greatly appreciated). In addition, we ordered a pasta dish with seafood which was also exceptional. For dessert, we had the warm chocolate hazelnut truffle tart which came with ice-cream - it was fabulous! We appreciated the quality and flavor of the food, how the food was spaced, and the attentive and friendly service by Gabriel. We will return to Mustards the next time we are in Napa.

Mustards did not disappoint. The food was delicious, wine pairings excellent and service very friendly and personal. I would highly recommend Mustards, and it is popular, so be sure to make a reservation. Thank you Mustards for a wonderful evening!!

We enjoyed meals at Mustards years ago and looked forward to our return visit. Alas, it did not live up to our expectations. My hangar steak was overcooked and my wife's crab cakes were described as dry and dull. She did rave about the side dish of vegetables, most of which came from the restaurant's adjacent garden. The service was a bit abrupt. Perhaps we ordered poorly but one should expect everything on a menu in Napa Valley to be better than just OK.

Great interpretation of classic American dishes. The onion rings are addictive.

The Hunan chicken salad is a pleasant surprise. The sauce gives multiple layers of flavor.

The Mongolian pork chop is perhaps best served slightly rare. The swine is good meat.

Girls trip to Napa to celebrate our upcoming 50th birthdays. Had lunch at Mustards Grill in between winery tours. Excellent service-very accommodating as we were late for our reservation, and amazing food

Good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to the Napa Valley. We did not order wine but the wine list is excellent.

Known for their tostada, it did not disappoint with a large piece of swordfish topping it. The mushroom and gruyere veggie burger mushed out the sides of the bun and was a mess to eat. The lemon lime tart, also a favorite, was mouth watering. The sticky rice pudding was less impressive.

Great food. Terrible service. Very inexperienced waitress. We’ve eaten there 100 times and this is our only really bad experience. Don’t get the young blond waitress. Manager did comp a lot of the bill but we had our meal ruined. Would have much rather paid full price with a large tip for great service

My mom and I went for dinner while we were in Napa. Mustards is a must stop!! Our waiter, Reece, was amazing! We absolutely loved him. The ambiance is great and we loved everything we ordered. We will be going back and I’ll recommend mustards to all my friends! Do yourself a favor and GO!!
