We have been to this property several time before. Will not be back after today’s experience. Their Covid protocol is a joke.
For outdoor dining less than 6ft apart from the next table, they take your temperature and have you complete a Tracer form.
Hostess was very rude and the server staff don’t wear gloves, then touch your silverware and glasses.
Our server had an attitude. One of the salads came out with a long hair in it. When then sent it back, the server did not offer a replacement or alternative.
One of our mains was the salmon with curried vegetables. Presentation was passable, flavor was 3 out of 10. It was farm low end salmon for $34.
We had dinner outside on Sunday at 6:15, they have plenty of umbrellas because the sun hadn't gone over the hills. The staff was constantly moving them around to protect us from the glare of the sun. Since you are eating outside on gravel/crushed rocks don't wear your best shoes. The noise from the highway on a Sunday night wasn't too terrible but it is there. Food was good, my husband had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and I had the pork chop. Not so perfect... the pork chop was pounded flat and hard to cut. The sauces on both entrees were excellent. For our first course we had the calamari with a curry slaw. It was yummy, best combination I ever had.
We had two glasses of wine, $30 and a bottle of wine for $79, about average for bottle of wine at Mustards. All total for two of us...with tip $250. Hey, it's Napa Valley. Birthday's only come once a year so we had to celebrate and enjoy the moment. Who knows what's going to happen in life!!!. Got to say...the staff was the best, omg. They went out of their way to take care of us. Food came out on time and they were working extremely hard. Thank you staff for being the best here in the valley.
The food was outstanding, but because we sat outside there were a lot of very aggressive flies that took away from the ambiance and constantly had to be shooed away from our table.
Food was amazing as always. They are really trying to make it all work outside. A little clunky but not bad. The reason for the poor review was the attitude of the inside manager barking at customers for standing too close to the bathroom doors. We can prevent the spread of the virus without being rude to customers.
They have done a wonderful job creating a delightful al fresco dining experience in their gardens.
Strictly for meat lovers, fish was so so, service was very slow, nice setting though, would not go back
Enjoy the temporary outdoor seating
Excellent food! Fantastic service! We will be back next time we are in Napa
Mustard’s did a wonderful job with their outdoor seating in their garden. Was beautiful! Service and food was excellent!
They have done an excellent job with Covid precautions. Temperature checks, contact tracing info, gloves and masks.
Eating al fresco in the garden was delightful. Food was excellent as usual.
It has been years since I have been to Mustards. I was very surprised by the limited menu.
It obviously is no longer a dinner, but the selection was at a minimum. Our seat assignment was the last straw. We sat right next to the parking lot in the sun while most people were under umbrellas and in the shaded area.
The food was unusual but outstanding. The salmon came with a flavorful tomatillo sauce. The restaurant made the most of outdoor dining in the garden. We sat next to a trellis of large, hanging yellow little neck squash. The service was a bit slow possibly because we dined during a busy time.
Great way to spend an afternoon during the pandemic. We felt safe eating outside in the garden! They took everyone’s temperature before seating. Wait staff all wore masks. Good service and excellent food! Enjoyed our meal and the ambience!
Love the outdoor seating, great!
As always food, service is stupendous. You can’t go wrong!!! Drinks, dessert always yummy
Have been going to Mustards for years. First time very disappointed. Have handled covid well with outdoor seating, but food was mediocre. Few new items. Ribs were stringy and dry. Grilled cheese was bread overload amd little cheese. Salad was lettuce and a dollop of goat cheese. Uninspired. You can do much better, Mustards, because I’ve see n you do it.
It was a lovely evening to spend my birthday here with my family. Highly recommended.
Since during Covid. only outside dining is the only option and the restaurant is closed for inside dining.
They converted thier garden into an outdoor dining area.
Was a beautiful late afternoon. Nice warm breeze passing through. Great food and service.
Loved it! I hope when things get back to normal. Outdoor dining will still be an option.
We were lucky enough to have dinner under the squash blossom trellis. Covid dining became a lovely alfresco meal in the garden
The crab cakes and swordfish were highlights
We hope the garden dining becomes a regular feature at Mustards
Mustards is handling the Covid-19 protocol seamlessly. The food was perfect. The service was excellent. We had a beautiful table in the garden. Sunshades and social distancing as well as masks by servers made it a delightful evening.
Our lunch was incredible. Great ambiance in the garden and had a great waiter! The food was amazing, we loved that menu changes based on the day!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a lovely, socially distanced, lunch in their Garden. They had plenty of shades up so even though it was a warm day, it was perfect while eating. The food was delicious and extremely fresh (the gardener was literally picking vegetables and bringing them into the kitchen while we ate). We wish we lived closer so that we could enjoy this experience more often!
Food is always amazing. I chose the chicken, it was perfection.
Dinner out in the garden was beautiful! Service was excellent, food was delicious!
I'm a long time customer returning. No change! We experienced the same perfection in food, drinks, and service. Staff very helpful, warm and friendly.
Excellent food and service. Will go back, for sure.
Our server Reese was awesomw
We went and ate outside in there garden for lunch yesterday and it was fantastic! I always go to mustards for dinner and we wanted to try going there for lunch and they did not disappoint like always! I had the chicken sandwich and my husband had the tuna sandwich and they were delicious! I will always recommend mustards!!
It was a very pleasant night dining in their squash pergola.
We completely understand that with COVID 19 things are different with fine dining, however we were very let down yesterday. We frequently go to BRIX next door and kept saying how we wanted to try Mustards. Knowing it’s a different style restaurant we were open to something new. The drinks were terrible. Both my date and I got two different cocktails and they were watered down and didn’t taste remotely like the bar staples we ordered. The food was not overly impressive and the outdoor area felt more like a picnic than a nice Napa restaurant. For almost $200 we felt the quality was definitely lacking and we found ourselves wishing we had just gone to BRIX again instead. We rarely get a day off just the two of us without work or the kids, and we felt like it was wasted yesterday.
My husband & I love that you have moved the service to your lovely gardens at the side of your restaurant.
We enjoy mustards and they have done a nice job adjusting to outdoor dining. However, lunch service was off and very slow. The other observation was that their overall menu is used all day and so many of the options are a little heavy and a bit expensive for lunch. Their wine list is amazing.
This was our first trip back to Napa since COVID hit, and we have been to Mustard's Grill often. The food and service were outstanding. Due to COVID, we were seated outside under smaller tents. It was so great to be back.
Sadly COVID-19 food served outside not design for dining, foods were cold or undercooked more importantly attitude was very poor, I will try after COVID pandemic over
Spectacular! The new garden is gorgeous, and as usual everything was perfect. I’ve been coming here since they opened and it’s still as delicious as it ever was.
All things considered, the staff was in excellent spirits and holding up well too.
Making the most of a social distancing outdoor dining experience. Beautiful day for lunch in the garden. The swordfish tostada was amazing and the honey cornbread was to die 4. The wait staff very friendly, attentive and expedient. An overall pleasant luncheon.
So let me start off saying I know we are in Covid and I am grateful they were open however, WOW - the service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress was somewhat snotty. Onion rings, soup was amazing - no a lot of calamari in the dish - mostly slaw. My gem salad was to dressed to eat - it was mush but my fish, the halibut, was perfect! Overall, was not happy and the wait was not worth the experience - will comeback because we love Mustards but this was not a good experience today in any way.
Great experience! Excellence service! Amid COVID-19 and having to dine outside, the staff went out of their way to make it a pleasurable dining experience. It was our first time there, and we will be making a trip there again!
Like Mustards. My husband and I celebrated 37 years of marriage that night.
