Murphy's has really excellent food and service. Always a pleasure to go there. Mondays they have half price bottles of wine too.
Excellent food and drinks! Only complaint was the noise level which made it difficult to have a conversation(we were seated next to several large parties who were very loud). But the food is worth going back.
Great food great service.
Never felt rushed.
Our waiter was very attentive and very knowledgeable
Overall a great experience.
Great lunch time place - buzzy ambience. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Recommend it and will be back!
Fun Valentine’s Day dinner. Murphy’s doesn’t disappoint.
Second year in a row we have chosen Murphy’s as our Valentine’s Day destination
Valentines dinner which was great. Food was outstanding as was the service. We had not been to Murphy’s in awhile and were reminded of how good it has always been. We will be back.
Awesome service, food excellent. Pricing good. Good night and we will return.
For the first time in 24 years, all three persons at my table were extremely disappointed. I tried the salmon with the sticky rice and the fish tasted bad. It was very fishy and not very tasty. My friend who got the chicken dish which I usually get every single time I go to Murphy’s did not taste the way it normally does. The appearance wasn’t the same either. The whole dish looked very brown. One of the guests got the hamburger which was over cooked. All of the waitstaff were very nice and polite, but we had to ask 3 times for catsup/mayonnaise. I am assuming it was just an off night for you guys and I will definitely go back since it is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta and has been for 24 yrs. I have been living in Florida now for two years unfortunately and when I come to Atlanta I often want to go to Murphy’s which is at least once every two or three months. I just thought you would want to know about the experience the three of us had as they, too are also frequent Murphy’s customers. Also, the squash bowls are no substitute for pasta. You used to have a pasta dish every night not just Sundays… We should bring that back
It was lively today. We enjoyed our food, our drinks, and the overall ambiance. We'll definitely be back again soon!
A group of 6 went for a chef-inspired wine tasting dinner. It was simply fantastic.
Loved everything but the required valet parking. Xoxo
Great atmosphere, good food, yummy drinks, can’t wait to go again.
The food was great, the kitchen was a little slow, they offered us a free dessert for the slow kitchen but didn't follow up on that promise. Overall, would recommend and go back, food is good.
Nice. Everything was great except my filet was under cooked. The waiter said they usually prepare their steaks medium rare. And asked if that was OK.
I responded that I would like mine medium but it was still medium rare. Next time I’ll stress Medium. Still delicious.
We had a great time and great food. Prices were not crazy especially with the service provided.
Candice was fantastic and delivered excellent service at all levels. All her recommendations from wine to food were right on point. Great wine selection and amazing choices by the glass (bottles are always a better value if drinking more than two glasses). The food was fantastic. The braised pork shank special just fell off the bone without any effort. I’ve dined all over the world and lived all over the US. Murphy’s is one of my favorite ATL spots.
Murphy's is our neighborhood gem, and our "go to" when we have guest in town, which was the situation this time. We took advantage of 1/2 off wine Monday, and had a delicious dinner. Our server was excellent. We ordered the Brisket, which is a favorite and never disappoints.
Together with some collegues from The Netherlands we had a great diner at Murphy’s. The food was good , for sure not standard but quit special. Also the Belgium beer was absolutely ok. Ambiance and or atmosphere is good and there was a low noise level supporting our discussions. Murphy’s is on our hitlist for sure.
We celebrated a birthday. Awesome and wonderful service
It was late and we were hungry. Murphy's looked very good on Open Table. We had no issues with our reservation, but it was past 9pm so I'm not sure what the usual experience is like. Good options on the menu with a dedicated entree for each day - however they had only one dish left so our party had to chose something else (well, it was past 9pm). I ordered a double IPA from the menu, but I was served something else (tasted like Lager to me, but the bartender insisted it's a single IPA). Otherwise, service was very and the waitress was very helpful in offering alternative options for the entree and replacing my drink. Overall, despite the few minor hiccups, but I would give it a second chance.
My overall experience was quite disappointing. They lost our reservation and the host didn't try to make right until the host manager showed up. Our reservation was at 8:15pm and they held a table for another reservation that was not due there until 8:45pm. After the hostess huffed at me and walked away because I preferred one empty table to another, we waited for at least 20 minutes after ordering our entrees for our food. In the middle of our meal my husband finds a pretty large piece of tin foil in his food... considering this is supposed to be a "farm to table" establishment, I'm afraid to know what they're "farming". I ordered the lobster salad and for a $21 salad, you would think I'd at least get the tail. Although, to be fair they did try to make it right but instead of "making it right" it shouldn't have been that bad in the first place. Pretty disappointing.
Overall, a very good place. Food and service were great. Portion size on beef special was not what we expected.
They didn’t have our reservation but seated us anyway... very loud and crowded... food was mostly good...
I had not been to Murphy's in several years, and once again, it did not disappoint. Happy that I remembered and thought of it as I had a friend visiting from out of town and it was perfect for our dinner. I will not forget Murphy's again.
We are regulars at Murphy’s for many many years. We have always loved Murphy’s. However the last several times we have dined here, Murphy’s has taken a terrible nose dive for the worse. The food has been bad. Not cooked to the temperature ordered. The food also was not good! The service has been horrible and the overall atmosphere with management and staff has hit rock bottom. Also the valet service is at it’s worse. When we were leaving, the Valet brought and took a lot of cars. Our car was out front of the restaurant. It took 20 minutes to get our key. Needless to say it was a horrible experience. We are writing this because we hope the owner will resolve all these issues before Murphy’s start loosing regulars.
Always great and consistent. I’ve been eating here for years. Worth the drive. Food and service is always top notch. Brunch is the best too.
Not a gigantic selection, but what they have was done right. I got the brisket, and it was fantastic. The wine was good, but a little bit expensive. Definitely plan to go back for another date night!
A disappointment. For whatever reason, I had not been to this restaurant before, even though numerous people had recommended it to me. I got a reservation for this evening (a 32 degree night). We were escorted onto the patio enclosed by a fabric and plastic enclosure. My fiance asked if we could be seated elsewhere, and we were told no. So we took our table. After being seated, two other couples were seated at tables on the inside (warmer side) of the porch at tables that seat 4 people. A manager (I think) asked us how our meal was. I said the food was good, but the table was not, since we had to eat in our jackets. He said he could move us to the dining room. I declined, since we were halfway through our entrees at that point. I mentioned that we had asked the hostess for another table upon arrival, but she said all others were full. No compensation or action was taken to make our night better. He walked away without any other comment, and did not acknowledge us for the rest of our stay. We won't be back if I am part of the choice.
Murphy's used to be one of my favorite places for brunch and dinner, but the experience my boyfriend and I had the other night was filled with disappointment. I know prices are a little higher at Murphy's than at many comparable Atlanta restaurants, but past meals had been worth the extra cost. Our meal on Friday was an exception. The food was mediocre at best and the service was nearly non-existent. We were hoping for dessert to turn the evening around, but decided against ordering after it took the server 15 minutes to check on us after a hostess had cleared our dishes.
