During lunch we serve DABBA style Lunch!
We offer a beautiful out door patio for a perfect summer evening, an indoor lounge. On Tuesday/Fridays/Saturdays we offer DJ & Dancing post 10 PM.
Food was great, just shocked it was so empty on a Saturday night. Would recommend, however the stench coming out of the bathroom area was revolting.
Mumbai Local has great flavors of food. Their Mumbai Sandwich is especially good. Noodles taste like the street side chowmein served India.
They also have a good collection of drinks.
Not great food, lacks authenticity
Expensive for what you get in return. Food is average. Decor is pleasing. Service was slow on Sunday evening. Perhaps more of a lunch spot for weekdays.
Extremely poor management, overpriced average food. AVOID
Awesome Indian food lounge. Food Awesome though the choice is limited. But taste and service, one of the best We have experienced in Bay Area so far!
Food was excellent. Including the dabba. The seats at the bar could do with some cleaning. Would definitely go back.
Mumbai Local is a great restaurant with amazing food. Street side noodles taste really good.. Their Mumbai Sandwich is a must try. Maggi Munchurian is a twist to traditional Maggi, but it is on the sweeter side
The concept and ambience of the place is good. The food really needs to be upped quite a few notches. The only saving grace is the butter chicken and the roomali roti.
The pav bhaji really cannot be called a pav bhaji by anyone who has had even an average pav bhaji in mumbai. The chilli chicken didn’t have the right crisp and spicy taste. The kheema pav needs to have some more spice and gravy it was far too dry and unseasoned. The pani puri flavours were also not even close to what they should be.
Bad service, dirty and mediocre food. Not worth the time or money at all!
Excellent food and quick Service ! Looking forward for my next party !
rude management, they had an event that night but they kept accepting reservations and when the guest arrived they forced everyone to leave in the middle of the dinner. they were forcing ua to pay an amount of 10$ to stay any longer.
Perfect place for a good night out. Amazing food, amazing design, friendly stuff, good dj's and amazing music. Love it!
Loved the way the place looked! Food was ok and service was slow.
Food was not good at all. Service was poor. Our waiter kept forgetting the things that we ask for. Brought us two salt shakers that had crystallized inside. So nothing was coming out. Although it was nicely decorated inside. But don’t come here for the food.
Bad food, very loud music, overbilling and empty restaurant even at 8.30pm. a forgettable experience.
Excellent food and taste. The ambiance was so good. The service was very fast. Just Outstanding!! Love to visit next time
The food options are attractive covering Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisines and very well executed.
Open table reservation was not eligible in the restaurant on that day. I would have expect that the restaurant wold have updated their timing with open table so that booking was not taken at the first place.
Good food - a bit spicy, but good flavors! Always have small bugs flying around in the restaurant...so annoying! But good service and awesome decor!
No hostess so we waited at the front for over 5 minutes before we were seated. Spotty service and Pad Thai was good but Chicken Tikka was not fully cooked and we sent it back. Nice on the inside- they just need more staff and more consistency with the food.
Service was great. Margaritas were good.
Eggplant fries were bland. The salad on steamed sea bass was not fresh.
Vegetarian hot pot had fish stock.
Hakka noodles taste was good, portion was really small, had big chunks of onions and scallions that made the portion of noodles even smaller.
There was strong unpleasant smell in the air
Strong sewage smell near the kitchen, most of the drinks on the menu were unavailable and none of us finished our food. Music too loud for normal volume conversation. This was at about 6pm!
Went there on Mother's Day. They only had the buffet option. While food selection was ok, they ran out of several items and didn't care to refill. Service was provided by just one lady for everyone in the restaurant, hardly adequate.
That said, food was decent, service very friendly.
Don’t go. Horrible service and the facility is a dump
Ordered steak rare, received well done with a side of A1 in a small gravy dish. Waiter disappeared.
Couldn’t tell who worked there, random people approach the table, cleared dishes without asking if we were done.
Disappointing, won’t return or recommend.
The service was super. Our server was great, joking, apologizing for any delays. The food looked very nice but the filet minion we ordered medium rear. We were told that because it is thick it will be more ch better medium. It was over cooked and dry. So was the lamb. The steak was undercooked. Almost raw.
We used a Groupon, so the price for ya was OK, since for 4 of us we saved $70. But if we had to pay $70 more it is absolutely not worth it. Would not recommend it to friends and I doubt we will go again.
Great service from the bartender Edgar who made super good drinks and White Sangria while we all had appetizers and drinks, in the bar with appetizers before dinner. Dinner in the dining room was ok. Service was good there too.
I didn’t get the table they are superb busy
We are waited like 45 min and still I didn’t get the table
Most horrible restaurant in san jose. Not only was food horrible their service was even worse. We didn’t like anything there but for their ambience.
Worst food & restaurant very rude waitress as well will never visit again what a waste of time & money
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We were met promptly and seated right away. That was the highlight of the evening. Our waitress was in way over her head. She obviously hadn’t received any training. My wife ordered a “Tito’s rocks” to which she replied “Is that on the menu?” The rest of us ordered a bottle of red wine with three glasses. After a long wait, my wife’s drink arrived along with a glass of wine. We re-iterated our order and our waitress showed up awhile with the bottle which she said “They just opened” and three glasses. She placed them on the table.
The food was one dimensional. The Tom Yum soup was spicy but the lemongrass was nonexistent and there were scant few chunks of chicken. The beef in the Pot dinner was chewy and over cooked and again the dish had no depth of flavor.
Don’t get me started on the bathroom.
The food was okay: crab cakes (average), Nonya Sambal Prawns (only four prawns, lot of sauce), and vegetable yellow curry (meh). One of our cocktails was made incorrectly. The service was substandard, particularly since they were busy and only had two servers. We had passed by and thought we should stop in and try it once. We did, and we will continue to pass by.
Avoid at any cost. Very disappointed in the service for a business meal with a new team of colleagues.
We chose this spot for a pre-concert dinner using our $10-off coupon from the Symphony. Reservations were for 6:30pm on a Saturday night, and we arrived at 6:20 to find the restaurant mostly empty. We were graciously allowed to split one of their Prix Fixe dinners, which include appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. The mango-papya salad was good but too spicy for us. The eggplant fries were great, with a sweet chili sauce. The Butter Chicken entree was the best thing we had, with rice and great nan and lentils. Our dessert, mango mousse, was excellent, but with little mango flavor to it. The pacing of the meal was a little spotty. The salad and appetizer arrived at our table simultaneously, and there was a little too much time between courses, particularly for a mostly empty restaurant. All-in-all a positive experience, however.
Many dishes were spicy. The seafood (calamari and sea bass) was very delicious and prepared so expertly! Our waiter was attentive and service was very good. Dishes are pricy and portions are small.
We enjoyed the food and ambience. The Chinese styled food was great, Indian cuisine could have been better and dishes like quail was a big no-no. Overall , we had an excellent and a memorable evening.
The food was excellent. The service was great. I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. I highly recommend it.
One of the worst restaurants. It was practically empty, but the appetizers took 40mins to get to us (and they weren't great). We'd been there about an hour, and we still hadn't been served our main meal. We kept being told it was almost ready, nothing ever came. On top of this, the ambiance was awful and there was horrible, loud repetitive techno-music in the background. They never even gave us napkins.
All restaurants in that area were busy expect this one. It should have told us something.
