Multnomah Falls Lodge
The atmosphere was nice. The food was spectacular and the prices were very reasonable. I will absolutely go again. Considering it wasn't overly busy, I was surprised at how long it took to receive our food after ordering and our waitress was pleasant but rarely stopped to give refills or ask how we were doing. We actually had to get up to find her and ask for hot sauce and refills. Also, we were a group of 7, celebrating my mother's birthday and after telling our waitress that, I was dissapointed that not only did she not tell my mom happy birthday or make mention of it, but she received nothing either. I found that odd considering most places at least give a coffee or dessert or something. A simple happy Birthday would have been nice. No acknowledgement seemed rude.
We had breakfast here & it was the best meal we had in the CRG. Everything was fresh, homemade & cooked excellently. We would go again in a heartbeat!
Great place! Took my team there to wind down after a long work week-end. Food was amazing and loved the feel of the place and the view.
The service was very good. The menu options were plentiful. My husband wanted fish and asked if he should get the steelhead or the salmon. The waitress recommended steelhead, but he really wanted salmon, so got that. The fish was extremely fishy, even after he scraped off that gray part that sometimes is on the fish under the skin. We eat a lot of salmon, and it just wasn’t good. The brown rice it was served with was over cooked and mushy. The waitress knocked $5 off the bill for us, which was nice. My hamburger was good, but don’t order the kale coleslaw as it was bitter. Fries and sweet potato fries were likely better options. So I feel like this is a good stop for food and we just didn’t order the right things. I would definitely give it another shot! The waterfall behind the restaurant is a quick and easy fun stop.
This is a great place for a breakfast buffet. We have been there many times over the years and we love it
I loved everything about this restaurant; the food was delicious, the music soft and low so we could converse, the view of the Falls from the atrium windows, the high windowed ceilings, just perfect in my estimation! Waiter was attentive and very nice; we loved our experience there and will go again when we come to Portland!
Multnomah Falls Lodge is a favorite. We have not been for quite a while and went to celebrate our relationshipl Overall we were disappointed in our food. As always the dining room is lovely and we had a view of the falls. However, our appetizer of calamari and clams was WAY overdone...especially the clams and the waitress agreed and did not charge us. The wine was good...enjoyed that. My prime rib was done perfectly...but very salty and tough. My husband's trout was also over cooked...almost hard to chew. We will come again...we do love it here...but hope these things will be resolved.
Great historic venue. We enjoyed the best outdoor table with waterfall view. Be aware that if your are going during Sunday Brunch hours, the set price buffet brunch is the only option. More than enough food choices, but salmon reheated for hours does get tough.
Great food and company was even better. Salmon was a little on the dry side, prime rib was perfect. It would be nice to have regular horseradish with the sauce too. Thanks for everything.
Possibly my favorite restaurant in the Portland area. I think it's a "hidden gem" that lots of people overlook in the thrill of seeing the falls. The decor is warm and wonderful, the view spectacular and the food very, very good. The only drawback is parking - so difficult to find sometimes. We planned on 15 minutes to find parking, but it took closer to 25! The Lodge said they could hold the reservation an hour, though, so we didn't have a problem getting seated once we got in. Better experience on the off-season during the week, if possible. Then I usually don't have parking issues. But everything else is oh, so satisfying.
Great location, hamburgers were okay, patties we a little small for the price.
Service was excellent and the price was reasonable. We ate just inside the patio as it was getting late and the setting was lovely!
Loved it! Bisquits were great
Wonderful setting. They reserved a table on the outside patio with an outstanding view of the waterfall. Never rushed, great service. Highly recommend for after a nice hike in the evening!
I thought we would be able to see Multnomah Falls while eating. But we couldn’t see the waterfall. The server was great’. I had wild salmon and it tasted like it was not fresh. So that was very disappointing.
On vacation- found it online... beautiful view of the falls, great menu, great service. Highly recommended
This was my 2nd time to eat at the lodge at Multnomah Falls. Both times we sat on the out door patio and was very pleasant and most enjoyable.
Wonderful as always.
The salmon fish and chips were recommended and were dry and not flavorful. Did not eat them after tasting. Cost was removed from ticket and offer for another entree made available but turned down. Parking a big hassle. Servers should know what’s best and good. Recommendations should be right on. The failure tainted the entire dining experience.
Really good food with beautiful atmosphere
Parking is tough....arrive an hour before your reservation. Service was friendly but slow. Food was mediocre and over priced.
Sat by a window so we had a nice view of Multnomah Falls. Nice old lodge with a lot of stonework inside. Food and service were very good.
The food was very good. They were bringing out more food regularly. The staff is great, very attentive. The price for brunch includes beverages, a very pleasant surprise
The server was a little sarcastic. The view was amazing. The atmosphere is perfect overall. Food was very tasty but the eggs were undercooked.
You go to Multnomah Falls for the view. What many visitors don’t know is that the restaurant there has huge windows highlighting that view of the falls. Also, the streets and walkways are chaotic whereas the restaurant is not typically crowded and is a pleasant respite from the chaos. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because their bathroom is not handicap accessible because of 2-3 stairs. The handicap bathroom is down an elevator ride and the crowds make that bathroom’s accessibility a trial. If you have a walker and help the restaurant bathroom is usable.
Delicious food! Great views in the atrium. Obsessed with the biscuits!!!
Had a late lunch. Menu was good for our group as we had 2 vegans with us.
Would recommend going at going for happy hour, seems prices would be better.
Server seemed overwhelmed and had trouble providing even water.
Perhaps this was timing as restaurant was turning over to dinner.
View was not spectacular, couldn’t see falls.
I got lucky and got a table quickly on a summer week night. It's beautiful, good services, and pretty good food. However, since I sat outside, I was unfortunately joined pretty quickly by several uninvited guests (yellow jackets!) that forced me to go inside. Otherwise, very nice!
The lodge is a real gem at the gorgeous Multnomah Falls and eating there is all part of the experience. We had breakfast because we came at the height of the tourist season in the summer, so we were able to come early, secure a parking spot, view and photograph the lodge and falls without people filling our photo frames and then enjoy a delicious and pleasant breakfast. Thank heavens it was saved from the devastating Eagle Creek Fire 2 years ago and a huge thank you to the wonderful firefighters who saved it. The outcome could have been totally different so keep that in mind if you visit and appreciate it more.
Everything about this breakfast was amazing!! Freshly baked biscuits were awesome!! A perfect way to start your day visiting Multnomah Falls and hike up to the falls. Great value. Quick and friendly service.
You get to eat wonderful food in an old-fashioned, stone and wood filled lodge building! You can see Multnomah Falls from the windows, as well as the surrounding cliffs and woods, as well as the mighty Columbia River. You can hear the trains racing by and tooting their horns (not for everybody, but novel). The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. You have the opportunity to walk up the Benson Bridge or even to the top of the falls viewing platform or over to the neighboring Wahkeena Falls. In addition, you can get an expresso, peruse the gift shop and get information at the ranger officer.
What more could you want in the world than to enjoy fine dining in a beautiful setting?
I presented a purity ring to my daughter 13 years ago at the Multnomah Falls Restaurant. This date, we hiked to Devil's Rest. This visit to the restaurant was a special reminder of how important the other date and ring were. She is now married, and strongly focused on following the love and commandments of Jesus.
The food is great, and the demeanor of the server was very relaxing and inviting. We sat outside on the back patio. We could see a little of the falls from our seats. What a unique eating experience.
I knew the scenic beauty of the waterfalls and river would be amazing. It was a pleasant surprise to dine there as well.
The view from our table was awesome. 8am reservation... not crowded. Food was delicious. Service, including accommodating 2 year old was great and appreciated.
The restraint was great, food was very good. The setting exceptional...would go again :)
Always a nice place for brunch along with the view. Sometimes the dishes sit too long and become harder or dried out.
Great Brunch! So many options, everything we had was amazing. Service was great, location is perfect.
Special place that evokes great lodges of the West. Service was so thoughtful and pleasant and the salmon Hollandaise was exceptional.
Great food, great location, beautiful view of the falls.
It was a great uncheon. The only problem was the total lack of parking, otherwise everything else was extraordinary!
