Multnomah Falls Lodge
We've been to the lodge for brunch several times now. We love this place. Great food, service and of course the natural beauty. Love it!
Having a quiet lunch with a lovely view of Multnomah falls from the table in a room filled with the comforting smell of a wood fired fireplace, what could be better than that on a cold winter's day?
I had made a reservation, marked it was a birthday, they acted surprised we were there. Service was good. There were 4 in our group, fish & chips was ho hum, meatloaf sandwich was less than, winter cob salad was okay & country benedict was good. Overall was probably over priced for the quality of the food.
The ambience and food were everything I’d expect a classic lodge to be. Our out of town guest were very impressed.
On Sundays the only meal you can order until dinner is the brunch buffet. The budget is a smaller version of a Vegas buffet. Meat carving station, dessert station, sandwiches and breakfast dishes. Good was great and a lot to choose from. Great view and great deal. Only tough part is getting parking after 1130.
The ambiance inside the Lodge was amazing. We were seated next to loud kids in a large room where all other tables were empty, so they disturbed the space. The Falls are lovely, and viewable from inside the Lodge, making the experience better...
Brunch was excellent. A wide variety of food, each one I sampled was excellent. Fresh , eclectic, home style with a bit of vegan and gluten free thrown in. Desert table was amazing. Can’t beat the view in the atrium or the coziness of the fireplace dining room.
This was a birthday party I arranged. The ambience is always wonderful. I was embarrassed that the food was so uneven. The prime rib and burgers were a big hit. The bacon wrapped trout was enjoyed. Two people had the salmon and choked it down. It was brackish tasting, inferior fish. The Spanish dish was sent back and a salad ordered. Another person who says she never sends food back sent her dish back but I don’t have information on what it was. The creme brûlée was enjoyed. Four out of 10 dishes were unsatisfactory. This group usually doesn’t send food back. Again, I was embarrassed. I wouldn’t book here again for a group.
A little spendy, but it’s more than just the good food. This helps support the lodge and it is a wondrous place to dine, particularly the old section. And in the fall and winter. Ask for a table near the fire. Service has always been exceptional and yet casual and friendly.
The food was very good. We enjoyed the friendly and attentive service and the beautiful environment. We will definitely return in the future.
The food was great and so was the service. The atmosphere was very pleasant and nice for our family.
The lodge was pretty, but our server seemed unhappy to be working and was not attentive. There was a hair in my food and it just wasn’t a quality meal. I do not plan to return or suggest to my out of town guests.
I have been in the food business since the age of 13 I am now 63
This is the first review I have ever given It was great
We were late due to traffic the manager told me not to worry
we needed to add on guests the manager told not to worry
We wanted the best view we got it
The food was great cookery was spot on
The entire party enjoyed it the pricing was to low (raise it)
Even without the falls it would have been great
The only thing that would have been better than a 10 was if my wife was there
A very pleasant surprise. Look forward to having house guests again, so we can bring them again.
We really enjoyed our meal, especially the nachos. The ambiance was very nice, the service was excellent! Definitely recommend and we would go again before our hike to the Falls. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful meal.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Multnomah Falls Lodge Restaurant. The food was incredible & our waitperson was very nice. We will absolutely be going back the next time we are in the area.
We were there for brunch. Food was average but lots of choices. waitress not attentive at first but got better after we let her know we were there. The place could use a make over.
Lovely Sunday Brunch after our Autumn drive.
Our waitress/attendant was attentive to our needs and pleasant.
The set up and atmosphere was very calming and good for a nice morning with your friends. The service was great and the food was even better. Being able to see the scenery from where we were sitting was the cherry on top of the cake!
We had the Sunday brunch- food was average and it wasn’t pricey. Service was great.
The experience of dinning in the old lodge is one that shouldn't be miss, but if you don't plan carefully you can miss it. Parting is very limited on weekends and when the lots are full you have to keep driving, you can not stop and wait. It is a must stop for a Columbia River Gorge tour, plan for a weekday if you can.
The food and the service were wonderful! Put I on your must visit dinning list.
It was an enjoyable lunch. Not much of a view from our table. Food was good.
Ambience wonderful, view of the Falls while we ate. Food was good.
Twice we've been here for breakfast and it's our new favorite place!
Excellent evening for our sales team! Food was fantastic, service was great and atmosphere was amazing! Going above and beyond on spider removal was much appreciated.
A beautiful place with great food and great service. What else could you ask for?!
The lodge and surrounding views are always lovely. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday not realizing there was a buffet. The food was good but not great and luke warm at best which is never good for a buffet. Of course we’ll visit again because we love the lodge and the falls. Will probably skip the buffet brunch though.
For the group of 6 the food was good overall. The pork loin I had was a bit dry and cold. Everyone did enjoy the ambiance and how quiet the restaurant was in the evening.
The atmosphere was nice. The food was spectacular and the prices were very reasonable. I will absolutely go again. Considering it wasn't overly busy, I was surprised at how long it took to receive our food after ordering and our waitress was pleasant but rarely stopped to give refills or ask how we were doing. We actually had to get up to find her and ask for hot sauce and refills. Also, we were a group of 7, celebrating my mother's birthday and after telling our waitress that, I was dissapointed that not only did she not tell my mom happy birthday or make mention of it, but she received nothing either. I found that odd considering most places at least give a coffee or dessert or something. A simple happy Birthday would have been nice. No acknowledgement seemed rude.
We had breakfast here & it was the best meal we had in the CRG. Everything was fresh, homemade & cooked excellently. We would go again in a heartbeat!
Great place! Took my team there to wind down after a long work week-end. Food was amazing and loved the feel of the place and the view.
The service was very good. The menu options were plentiful. My husband wanted fish and asked if he should get the steelhead or the salmon. The waitress recommended steelhead, but he really wanted salmon, so got that. The fish was extremely fishy, even after he scraped off that gray part that sometimes is on the fish under the skin. We eat a lot of salmon, and it just wasn’t good. The brown rice it was served with was over cooked and mushy. The waitress knocked $5 off the bill for us, which was nice. My hamburger was good, but don’t order the kale coleslaw as it was bitter. Fries and sweet potato fries were likely better options. So I feel like this is a good stop for food and we just didn’t order the right things. I would definitely give it another shot! The waterfall behind the restaurant is a quick and easy fun stop.
This is a great place for a breakfast buffet. We have been there many times over the years and we love it
I loved everything about this restaurant; the food was delicious, the music soft and low so we could converse, the view of the Falls from the atrium windows, the high windowed ceilings, just perfect in my estimation! Waiter was attentive and very nice; we loved our experience there and will go again when we come to Portland!
Multnomah Falls Lodge is a favorite. We have not been for quite a while and went to celebrate our relationshipl Overall we were disappointed in our food. As always the dining room is lovely and we had a view of the falls. However, our appetizer of calamari and clams was WAY overdone...especially the clams and the waitress agreed and did not charge us. The wine was good...enjoyed that. My prime rib was done perfectly...but very salty and tough. My husband's trout was also over cooked...almost hard to chew. We will come again...we do love it here...but hope these things will be resolved.
Great historic venue. We enjoyed the best outdoor table with waterfall view. Be aware that if your are going during Sunday Brunch hours, the set price buffet brunch is the only option. More than enough food choices, but salmon reheated for hours does get tough.
Great food and company was even better. Salmon was a little on the dry side, prime rib was perfect. It would be nice to have regular horseradish with the sauce too. Thanks for everything.
Possibly my favorite restaurant in the Portland area. I think it's a "hidden gem" that lots of people overlook in the thrill of seeing the falls. The decor is warm and wonderful, the view spectacular and the food very, very good. The only drawback is parking - so difficult to find sometimes. We planned on 15 minutes to find parking, but it took closer to 25! The Lodge said they could hold the reservation an hour, though, so we didn't have a problem getting seated once we got in. Better experience on the off-season during the week, if possible. Then I usually don't have parking issues. But everything else is oh, so satisfying.
Great location, hamburgers were okay, patties we a little small for the price.
