Beautiful outdoor space with a great vibe for a perfect Saturday night dinner with friends. Delicious homemade pasta and wine selection.
The best authentic Italian restaurant in Raleigh! The food was delicious and filling but not heavy. Best tiramisu I've had in a long time!
Very good food. Attentive, fantastic service from everyone. Nice setting, especially sitting outside on a nice night. I would recommend:)
Great food, too expensive however for the venue
A fantastic early father’s day meal under the stars with the children
Amazing hospitality, ambiance, charisma, and quality of the food...Certainly must see/ try place.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful! Our waiter was great, made excellent recommendations, and was very personable and friendly. Overall it was a terrific e experience and we'll definitely go back agsin.
The food was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. I would suggest going on a nice day to sit on the patio.
Great meal with interesting food. Our server made the whole experience great! Party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Amazing food and service. The Lasagna was the best I’ve ever had!
Mulino is always great! really good food, and customer service. Only complaint: it is too much food! I do also wish the music wasn't so loud. (Though I do enjoy their taste in music-I'd just rather hear the people I am with).
I have already been talking about this restaurant to my friends. I had an absolutely amazing experience. From the hostess to the waiter to the food everything was enjoyable. Each of the staff was very personable and approachable. I will be back!
I was recommended to spend my anniversary dinner here, but unfortunately, it fell a bit flat for me. The arancini lacked flavor. The tagliatelle bolognese made me extremely ill, and my husband said the lamb was very average. We split a bottle of "sparkling" rose which was no more than slightly effervescent and I'm still confused as to how it ended up in the sparkling section of the list. Our chairs were extremely wobbly and table was small. Overall, it really wasn't a pleasant experience and not a nice anniversary meal.
Wonderful pulpo and the gnocchi was perfection. Great ambience and service. Patio chairs a bit uncomfortable.
Was greeted immediately and seated within a minute of my reservation. The atmosphere is excellent! They had a man playing guitar during our meal. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. He knew the menu well and was able to give us feedback on certain dishes. Very nice restaurant! I will definitely come back here!
Very disappointing experience. Raw chicken, burnt pizza, bland pasta dishes, cold and thin lasagna...unfortunately, these were our experiences.
Want bread? We had a 1 inch by 1 inch piece of bread dropped into our salad plates. Not sure what that was all about.
Pizza crust was burnt and the sauce is bland and tasteless. I’ll take the wood fire cooked pizza at Farina in Wake Forest over Mulino any day.
The price point is excessive, especially for what you get. We walked out with a $300 bill. That would have been ok if the food was good, but it wasn’t.
I’m not kidding about the raw chicken. Not undercooked...raw. That’s how people get sick.
On a positive note, the atmosphere is nice and the service is attentive.
This was the second time we were at Mulino. Both times we left disappointed. This time more so. There won’t be a third visit.
Excellent food and incredible service. Their fresh made pasta is authentic and their Italian wine list is fantastic.
We truly enjoyed Mulino....in all regards. I look forward to getting back there soon. It is one of THE most unique restaurants in the Triangle and I have eaten at almost all the fine places.
excellent food. perfect portion sizes. great ambiance.
I feel like the food is a hit or a miss. Our appetizer was Aranchini the fried rice balls which we had before but this time the rice was under cooked and chewy. My sister and I had the ravioli which was exceptional and like nothing we have ever had before will definitely order that again but my husband and friend did not like their dishes and called the lasagna one note which is odd for something that is supposed to be layers of flavors. The affogato was amazing we had it the last time as well and would go here just for that. But the tiramisu was just okay this time. I’m not sure why the inconsistency between visits but for the most part the food was great. I just wish we had all had a wonderful experience. Our server was friendly, prompt, and clean no complaints with him but I did notice that the overall appearance of the staff was very sloppy and for the feel and price of the restaurant I feel like they should step it up a little. It takes away from an otherwise beautiful atmosphere.
Nice dinner. Great patio and good food.
We had drinks, salad course, and pasta course.
The waitress brought the wrong cocktail on the order which was a foreshadowing of the inattentive and somewhat clumsy service through the meal. She offered the specials, one was a “seared tuna carpaccio” served on a “ricotta cake”. I was confused as carpaccio is a raw service and asked her what was “carpaccio” about the appetizer and she responded “the sauce”. We did not pursue this special and am Not sure if the chef or waitress needs training,
The “beet salad” had three small beet pieces and lots of greens - really more of a salad with a touch of beets. The beets had a good flavor and greens were fresh but overdressed. The burrata salad was similar a salad with a side of burrata. Both were tasty, fresh and dressed appropriately, it eats as a salad with cheese on the side not an integrated plate or burrata cheese course.
We had to ask the waitress for bread - something which is a standard at Italian-focused kitchen. She brought four focaccia-styled squares lightly drizzled with oil. I say focaccia but it was extremely dense, powdery dry and an embarrassment to the genre. Perhaps the waitress left it off knowingly, we should have followed her lead,
We next had lasagna and spaghetti carbonara. They make there own pasta onsite so we were anticipating some great dishes. The lasagna was good but a bit under filled. The sheets of pasta were thin and complementary to the filling ratio. The carbonara on the other hand was dismal. The egg yolk sauce was very yolk forward and could have used some thinning with pasta water. The spaghetti pasta was gummy and when eaten with the over-yolked sauce left a disagreeable mouth feel and taste. The pancetta was delicious and both crispy and a nice chew. Unfortunately it could not rise above a poorly executed dish.
The setting for this restaurant and particularly the outside patio are very nice. The chef and staff needs to raise the game to match the surroundings.
It was a lovely evening, the wait staff were great, and the food was delicious!
We loved the outdoor area. Food was delicious!
Such a wonderful restaurant! The food was amazing, the service was perfect, and the decor was beautiful.
1st time there, menu was more limited than I thought it would be
Wonderful meal with excellent service! Set up to accommodate large groups. Will definitely be back!
Outstanding and really personable waiter !! Very insightful and helpful with menu and history of building. Excellent check back service. Reservation desk was friendly and welcoming.. we will definitely cone back!!
Amazing outdoor seating, authentic Italian food and great service, doesn't get much better than this!
Amazing food and atmosphere. The gnocchi is not to be missed. Delicious pizzas as well. Diverse and curated wine list. Slight delay in food arriving due to a service issue but the manager/owner was extremely apologetic and accommodating. Will definitely be returning.
Great location, beautiful restaurant. We tried the lasagna and a pizza. Lasagna was ok, good noodles, but I found the sauce lacking. Pizza was good - great crust and sauce. We got an appetizer but it took so long for it to arrive that we got to only have a small portion before the dinner arrived. Great bar area - I did not want r to drink and thought it was odd they did not have iced tea. Service was ok, but when we were ready to leave we waited some time to find the waiter and then had to flag someone else down to get a pen to sign the check.
Upon being greeted and sat down at our table we proceeded to wait 10 min before anyone came over to check on us. We actually had to ask for our server. Once we got our drinks everything was better and they were more attentive to us. I would come back again.
I was in Raleigh for a few days for work. Stumbled upon this gem. My coworker and I enjoyed our first meal so much, we went back the following evening. The salmon and the gnocchi are top notch!
Amazing!!!! Some of the best service and food I have ever had!
We were able to sit at the bar while our table was prepared. Service was great!
Food was decent but not as good as I remember it being the last time. Service was sub-par
Beautiful atmosphere, great food, and the best service I've had in years. An extraordinary experience tucked away in Raleigh!
Went back to have what I consider the best bolognese sauce in town. My friend got the lasagna so I will have to go back for that next time. Deserts are awesome too. Pricey but worth it.
Beautiful facility, great good, great service! I would recommend.
Amazing atmosphere ! Great food, always a wonderful experience
