Muldoon's Irish Pub Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time here for dinner. We have been for lunch & Sunday brunch before, & the food is consistently very good. The service has always been excellent - the servers are attentive, super friendly & helpful with suggestions. It’s a fun atmosphere, but not too loud to be able to visit with other members of the group.
Enjoyed a nice meal in dining room next to fireplace. Made an RSVP and table was waiting for us. Server was very friendly and willing to explain fairly extensive menu. I was a little disappointed in the veg soup --- kin of watery, but a nice start. Food was served hot, and the bar as an excellent selection of both Irish and Scottish whiskys. Good selection of Draft beer also.
Muldoon' s is wonderful! We have been going for years! This visit was no exception. We had a great waiter who was attentive and friendly. The food is always great! I especially like to visit Muldoon's during the Christmas holidays because the wait staff is in Celtic costumes and the restaurant is decorated for the holidays! Fun!
Our group loved the feel of the restaurant. It was deck out for the Christmas Holiday.
It was our first time there. The staff was very friendly. A couple of us had the fish & chips.
Which was great !! One had the Irish stew. Everyone enjoyed the food. We all agree that we
would definitely be back.
Love this place!! We come here every year at Christmas and sit by the fireplace. A Very special place. So cozy and comfort food galore!!!! Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff!!! So many awesome places to eat dinner, fire side, pub or outside by the giant tree. And the best part of Muldoons at the holidays!!! Wassail!!!!! Yum
Muldoon's is our favorite pub. I had their Irish stew and my hubby had their Shepard's pie. Both delicious and very satisfying! We also enjoyed a flight of whiskey, very nice. We usually sit in their inside dining at a booth for a more romantic dinner. There was a musician in the bar area playing great pub songs and the people there were having a good time. A lady got up and sang, "Danny Boy," made us feel like we were in Ireland. Our waiter Jon was very welcoming, attentive and nice. They all make you feel like you are family!! Thank you, Muldoon's for making our evening great!!
Places like Muldoon's are hard to find in So. Cal. It is cozy and quaint, with a fireplace in their dining room. The lighting is perfect for us. (We think bright rooms ruin the entire experience for my husband and me.) The bartender knows what he's doing, and when we order a dry rob roy, we actually get one. Food is delicious.
My wife and I have enjoyed dining at Muldoon's for years. We refer to it as our place to enjoy comfort food in a fun environment. It's like visiting an Irish pub in the old country (but we don't have to fly to get there). And, the service is always friendly. Whether it is John serving us or Scott, we know we will enjoy an impeccable service experience (and likely will go home with a doggy bag - No dog though).
Usually really like this place but yesterday was terrible. Split a salad that was not crisp or cold. It was chopped salad with shrimp. Was charged $4. Extra for split. Waitress said it was be more than 1/2 the salad. Not true.
Service less than mediocre. Sorry but won’t be returning very soon.
Great place for our business lunch. I had the Ruben which was very flavorful. Guests had bangers and mash. Serving sizes were generous and all were happy with their meals. Service was excellent and drinks were always kept full. Free valet parking was an added plus. Would definitely go back.
Muldoon's is always good. You wouldn't expect an Irish Bar to have a great restaurant, but they do. All the locals (and old folks) eat there so you know it must be good food at a good price. Shepard's Pie is a solid choice. You won't walk away hungry. Steaks and burgers are also great.
