    Even though I had an OpenTable confirmation, the restaurant had no record of my reservation. They were able to seat us but it was by the entrance to the kitchen with an inattentive waiter. The food was average. All of this is at odds with all our previous meals there so we will go back.

    We loved our dinner here! The drinks were great! My husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the pork chop. Delish! I would definitely order the same thing again. We will be back for sure!

    It was great first visit! Reserved via OpenTable and told them it was date…so they brought us champagne on the house. They make a great dirty martini too! Foodies will like the food options…House made Ricotta cheese is a must! Hostess was full of personality as was the waitress. A waitress working other tables made eye contact and smiled. We commented about how it is rare for that type of interactive service! The style of the interior was great. I will go back just for the bar area.

     Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, made suggestions when asked and provided background details about Mulberry Street Tavern. When meeting friends from out of town, this is our go to Place for wonderful food, drinks, and service.

    This was the first experience for us here and we have consider ourselves foodies. Walked up, told our table wasn’t ready; waited 10 minutes, still not ready but could have a high top. Got drinks ordered, that took 10 minutes. Order for appetizers, took another 10, then 15 to be delivered. Still haven’t ordered the entrees yet, and we are 45 minutes in; we had to ask to order, could only see 3 servers working. Got entrees ordered and a second round of drinks. Food came out, it was great. Had a decent dessert and then left, 1 hour 50 minutes after arriving, which is fine since this was a a date night. This place needs to decide what it what’s to be; at times the noise level was that is a sports bar. Your paying premium for food and drinks, yet people are walking in with sweats and t-shirts and flip flops (which is fine, again goes to the what does this place want to be). Ambiance is cool, but if you want a nice dinner, insist on a table, preferably a booth, so you can have a decent convo. When people say service needs to be better, that’s on the management who doesn’t have enough people working. Bartenders were clearly crushed, servers were clearly their own tables. Management needs to do better.

    Food was fabulous. The server started the evening very attentive and by the end our glass set empty and it took 25 minutes to get our check. Just not a good impression at all of the services.

    Our service was poor from the minute we got there. There was no urgency in giving us any kind of service. Completely overpriced for the lack of quality and service. Extremely disappointing as the atmosphere is exceptional. Never going back.

    We enjoyed getting together with good friends we haven't seen in some time. We love to try new places and try all the yummy food and drinks. Des Moines is getting so many great restaurants it's hard to pick among them all. We chose MST because it was close to our hotel and the atmosphere looked appealing. We had a table for four in the back next to the window. The view of downtown was beautiful at night. We had a couple cocktails. A couple starters to share. The chicken, trout, pot pie, and pork chop.

    We’ve been told multiple times to try Mulberry Street Tavern, but haven’t had the chance to get out there until now. It was an amazing experience! You know you’re at a good place when the menu lists a few ingredients you haven’t heard before. Robert was our server and added to our experience. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job making sure we enjoyed our evening. We will definitely be back again!

    Our second time but won’t be the last. We were lucky enough to have Andre as our server again who seems to anticipate your needs. Unique dinner offerings and the cocktails are outstanding.

    My wife and I had dinner before going to a show. Andre was our waiter. He has served us before. Andre made the meal fun, made excellent recommendations and also made sure we stayed on track for our show time. We had a lovely meal, we will be back and we will be requesting Andre’s section.

    i love this restaurant and make a reservation every time i visit des moines. it was just me this past visit so i sat in the bar area. it was busy! the staff did a great job attending to so many people and me! my only sad thing to share is that the amazing green beans were not on the menu this time so pleassseee bring them back!

    Very hip and cool restaurant with great food. We went for brunch and had a great time. We feel drinks were overpriced so we didn't get any drinks, but the food was terrific and the environment was very cool. Our server was amazing.

    Great food, fun wines by the glass choices and our server was personable, timely and very knowledgeable. My only constructive feedback is that back corner by the window is very bright, would be nice if the restaurant could put up some blinds there. Overall, highly recommend MST and definitely plan to visit again.

    The food was really delicious! We were originally going for restaurant week but decided to just go With the regular menu sense all the entrees were on there anyways. We got the smoked fish dip - one of the best I’ve ever had. Super creamy with lots of fish and all the pickled accoutrements (except cauliflower) were so good with it. The oysters I thought were good but would have been better plain - didn’t need the cucumber topping. The Duck pasta was unbelievable!!!!! Pasta was perfect the Ragu was delicate with a rich yet lite sauce. The chicken pot pie came out looking like a picture! Beautiful super sweet bursting tomatoes on top of a creamy corn, chicken chowder. The pasta was far superior to the pie but both were good choices. No dessert but we did get an excellent wine off there list )ask for it) So glad we finally got to do a full dinner this go around. We always do apps and oysters and drinks but this was worth the wait. Outstanding!

    A great time was had this past week by 5 of us at Mulberry Tavern. The service, especially at our table, was outstanding. We enjoyed their bar as well. The only suggestion that our group has is that the menu is quite limited -- I believe there were only 5 or 6 full dinner options. One other problem item -- near the end of our meal I looked over at the open kitchen area and saw a chef (assistant chef?) openly eating in full view of the patrons. Not a good look at all!

    This was one of my top restaurant experiences not only for Des Moines, but throughout our travels. Located inside the Surety Hotel (another great find), we enjoyed a fabulous meal served by the outstanding and knowledgeable (and entertaining) Andre. Inventive cocktails, delicious oysters, hard to choose fabulous main dishes and a killer dessert. Do not hesitate on this one.

    Pretty eclectic menu for a real foodies..but not for us. Scotch.egg, Kale.salad examples of.menu items. Even the Wedge.salad wasn't the standard prep. Food.we.found to eat was good (side of mac and cheese and French onion soup.), but not too many usual choices and limited options in the area of the hotel.

    Our server was amazing! We were going to a concert and the food and service was fast and accurate! Loved this restaurant!!
