Mueller's Linden Inn

Service was very good, from front to back, nice ambiance and view of the lake. Prices are in line with this style of supper club. And yes I would recommend this to my friends for any occasion.
We were the only one's there. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Bartenders had no idea how to make basic drinks like a Martini and a brandy old fashioned. Food was only ok - appetizers good. Ambience is run down and dated. Sad - it's a prime location on Big Cedar. Needs big time management change and some investment. My french onion soup was sent back immediately - tasted exactly like very moldy bread.
We arrived on a Friday night at 7:15 and the parking lot was mostly empty. Went inside, the bar was deserted and only about 6 tables filled. That seemed like a bad sign. Waitress was slow but friendly. Food was kind of slow coming but the blackened cod was very good as well as the potato pancakes. My son had the steak bites appetizer and they were very good as well. This sounds cheap but my biggest problem was the price of my son's soda. He had 2 tap rootbeers in a smallish 10oz or so mug and we were charged $4 a piece for them. That seemed a bit out of line for just a soda. Overall we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. I would recommend it for a quiet dinner.
Our server was friendly and always smiling. Every one from the time we walked in to the time we left where very out going and friendly. Wil be back.
Great food and good service. Nice friendly people serving us. Always seat and serve us promptly.
Food was very average. French onion soup disappointed, was ‘ground up’ and too much sage, prime rib wasn’t a great piece of meat(more fat than should be) preparation was ok, Service average too. Prices were not out of line.
Fish fry was not good at all. One plate came out cold, and when we brought it to their attention, they took it back and heated it up in a microwave instead of making a new plate of using a pan. One of us ordered the jumbo shrimp for $22 and it was nowhere near jumbo. 6 medium sized shrimp and a side of frozen beans/corn, with potatoes. Way over priced, poor food, below average experience. Bummer as we were really looking forward to it.
We were very disappointed in the overall appearance of Mueller's Linden Inn. Ambiance is a large part in the restaurant experience. I know someone who works at Mueller's Linden Inn, and this person was always posting such great things about the restaurant so naturally we wanted to give it a try. This was our 50th Wedding Anniversary Dinner, and we brought our Granddaughter along with us so it was a special occasion. While the food was good, the waiter was great, the restaurant itself was in very poor condition. The interior was very depressing, old and terribly out of date.
We had a great meal in a family friendly atmosphere. Children found favorites on the menu.
New Years Eve Dinner. We were seated at our reservation time. Both dinners were very good and we like the salad bad inclusion.
Linden Inn...our favorite restaurant for special occasions. Staff and owner are outstanding! Meals are very tasty!
Very nice place to dine. It was quiet on Tuesday night and it was a very nice table next to the fire place. It was quite chilly outside and there was a light snow falling so I was happy to be cozy and warm in the company of two good friends having a nice dinner
Went on a Saturday night for prime rib. The prime rib wad good however they use what appeared to be canned mushrooms and a canned or frozen vegetable blend. Overall dinner was good but the side dishes could be improved whit using fresh ingredients.
We so wished this would have been good, as the location is fun near Big Cedar Lake...very up north like atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience was not good...bordering on terrible. From the start we were not welcomed or made to feel at home in the bar area. The food was sub par (tasted like food service food rewarmed) and our wait service person did not have much of a personality or attentiveness. She was very timid and seemed to have very little experience. When we voiced our concern over our food, she didn't say a word or send a manager...just gave us our bill. We will not be returning, nor recommend this place to our friends/family. From the lack of customers in the restaurant, it appears others have found to have the same bad experience.
It started with the bartender very unfriendly ....ordered a drink gave it to the person 3 seats down..
Give him a tip never said thank you..... food came before we were done with our salads felt very rushed Even though the restaurant was not busy busy.... prime rib was cold, tough and no flavor.....
Everything was fantastic! Best steak I’ve had in a long time, but everything from the Bloody Mary to the carrot cake was just fabulous. Great server, bartender, everything. Well done, an evening we won’t forget!
Met friends here for lunch on a Friday. The place was not very busy, but that helped make conversation across our group easier. The bartender was a hoot; the server was good (she even gave me a couple extra packets of crackers for my grandson!); food was hot and tasty.
Our visit was on a quiet weeknight. Food and service were great and the Old Fashions were excellent.
We walked in around 12:30 pm and the bartender directed us to the special event room. It was set up with a few tables and chairs. The buffet was like you find at weddings, set up on folding tables. There was only one other table that was occupied. Despite not knowing how long the food had been held, it tasted okay. Ambiance was non-existent. Waitress was busy sitting behind the bar chatting with some other kid. 🤷🏼♀️
I went there for my birthday dinner on. Thursday evening. We are on the patio and it was lovely. Servers were attentive, polite and checked in on us continuously. I got a scrumptious cheesecake for my birthday. The prime rib sandwich, French onion soup & onion rings was amazing.
Great venue for observing Big Cedar Lake. Very pleased both times we were there over the last several weeks.
Food, service, very good. My only complaint was my vodka tonic was flat and I had to send it back. They did give me a fresh one which was better. I would recommend using bottled tonic. I know it's probably more expensive, but I would have had another one if the tonic was better.
Food on buffet was lukewarm. Variety was small. No sausage or bacon . Beef was tuff and cold.
We came for Mother’s Day Brunch. We had early reservations and the food was hot and fresh, and the choices were sufficient. The Omelet Station was well organized and and omelets were delicious. Service was great. The view of the lake was beautiful. It was a nice morning!
Prime Rib and Walleye specials were very good; the Shrimp and Beef Stroganoff were not special. The salad bar was fresh and sufficiently stocked. Service was friendly but not attentive...server forgot to bring rolls and relish tray, had to be reminded about beverage orders. First visit in 20+ years; now we remember why we do not visit more often.
Muellers Linden Inn was a great value on Saturday for the Prime Rib. The Waitress was very friendly. We will go back in the near future for the view of the lake.
The personal is very friendly the atmosphere is very warm and the food was great
The food was good and the prices are comparable. My husband ‘s shrimp and pasta special was very good. The 12 ounce ribeye had good flavor but was very chewy for being prepared medium. The onion haystack appetizer was tasty and the drinks were a great value.
Appetizer and soup/salad brought at same time (felt rushed)/ no music or background noise (uncomfortably quiet), could here everything from people near you/waitress a bit forgetfull
We really enjoyed the Sunday brunch here. Everything was really great! Plenty of choices for food. The omlets made to order were excellent.
I'm still out on recommending this restaurant. The salad bar was just that, salad. There was a very small dessert bar. That was not an issue for me, I usually don't care for dessert. The main buffet had a very small very small offering. What was there was good. I thought there was a larger selection of items, I must have read the the description of the offerings wrong. When entering, we saw the sign taped to the door saying it would be closed for a private party that evening , maybe that was the reason the selection was so sparse. Not worth the 50 mile trip. Oh yes, it had an omelet station. Haven't been there since we moved about 20+ years ago. I know it's changed hands since then, hope it will keep improving. The wait staff was very friendly.
We went to the Linden Inn with a group of four people for the Sunday brunch. The food and service were both excellent. The bar area is large and very beautiful with windows facing the lake. The dining room is decorated for Christmas, with plenty of room between tables. The made-to-order omelettes were delicious as were the rest of the items on the buffet. We will be back!
We've eaten here many times. Food is consistently delicious, prices are reasonable.... always great service!
Steak and ribs cooked to perfection. Excellent service and beautiful restaurant.
Food was good. Maybe a tad high priced. Service was lacking. We didn’t even know there were specials (e.g. prime rib) - she never told us; we overheard from a different waitress. Soup du jour was “um, fish vegetable” - instead of the actual “seafood vegetable”. Busboys were extremely polite and worked very hard. Give it a shot.
We were seated right away, our waitress was very pleasant and knew the menu and specials. Salad bar was available with fresh veggies. Entree's were very good and plenty of food!
We and our friends were out for dinner last Wednesday night. The grouper sandwich that was on the menue was not available. We each ordered something different. The roasted red pepper soup was very good. The salads were very nicely presented. My beef stroganoff was very good but it had been cooked beyond beef chunks. The presentation of each dinner needs to improve.
EVERYONE DID MEXICAN EXCEPT ME, I DID CHICKEN MARSALA AND IT WAS SO TENDER. THE HUGE POTATO WAS ALSO DONE RIGHT. VEGGIES ABIT TOO AL DENTE FOR MY TASTE
Christmas decorations were beautiful and sophisticated. Prime rib was excellent ! Service was great.
THE BAKED POTATOES WERE NOT FULLY BAKED. THE SALAD BAR IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST, POOR SELECTION AND LITTLE VARIETY. THE SAT SPECIAL PRIME RIB WAS A VERY FATTY AND STRINGY PIECE OF MEAT. THE CHICKEN MARSALA WAS VERY GOOD.
